Tumblr is amazing and it's kind of making me tear my hair out.

Two weeks ago, I promoted my Etsy shop's September sale on Tumblr, and commented that my business has not been doing fantastic.

Here's a graph of my total sales volume over 2024 to date:

Of the 99 sales I made this year, ONE-HALF occurred in the past two weeks. Time to feed my old marketing plan to a shredder, apparently.

I am incredibly grateful, and almost caught up on my outgoing orders. There'll be some new stock coming out later today, and the 30% off sale will keep running for another week.

Owen Lars died a few days before the end of Revenge of the Sith

so when a bedraggled, light-haired and light-skinned man showed up on her doorstep carrying a child, Beru Whitesun saw a solution to all her problems: identity fraud to get out of paying death taxes to the Hutts and ensure she had enough help running the farm

she even got a free baby out of the deal, and was able to convince her totally-not-new 'husband' that this would keep him safe from the new Empire as well!

this does, of course, add an additional layer of awkwardness to the arrival of Artoo and Threepio at the start of A New Hope

Today's snippet is from the Rebellion-era QuinFox fic! Quinlan, meet Luke Skywalker :)

Quinlan opens his mouth, intending to say he doesn't think the kid is crazy at all—he's already decided the kid has to be trained, a liability otherwise—when a figure blinks into existence behind Skywalker. He can feel Fox trying to figure out what's distracted him, but Fox is only really trained in the skills Quinlan thought would help keep him and his men alive. He's not in-tune enough with the Force to see the thrice-damned ghost of one Obi-Wan Kenobi fucking wink at him. What comes out of his mouth is instead, "Are you aware you're haunted, kid?"

By the look on Luke's face, he was not.
