Jack sat up, not minding at all that Levy was still resting her head on his abdomen. He looked down at the blunette with a puzzled look on his face. “What the hell is fro-yo?”

Shifting to get more comfortable as the other sat up, the script mage blinked up at the other. “Frozen yogurt. It’s pretty good, you know. Plus they have all sorts of toppings you can put on it too.”

“Huh? Oh yeah! I’ll let an alarm to be there an noon, hopefully I won’t sleep through it. If I do, just come wake me up. Mira or Lucy will be able to show you which dorm is mine.”

“I’ve never had fun at these things before. So why would ya think this would be any different?” Gajeel sighed as he followed after Levy. He never understood the term of fun in reality. Though when she mentioned the place might be demolished he couldn’t help, but grin at the fact of it. “Yeah, we sure as hell wouldn’t want that. Though the food is probably one thing I might like, but carnival games? Aren’t those things rigged?”

“Well, I mean technically most carnival games are rigged.” The mage said, giggling softly. “However, this is Mira we are talking about. I doubt she would have rigged the games, or allowed any rigged games to be present there. However I doubt that’ll stop anyone from claiming that they are rigged if they suck at the game.”

“Sounds like a good idea.” Levy said, getting up and moving towards the door. “Hey, I’ll meet you at the guild hall tomorrow, alright? Sadly I have things to take care of back at my dorm before I can sleep.”

Gajeel sighed as he quietly followed after Levy. He shifted his arms a bit as if in casual bordem had arranged around him all of a sudden.  He was never one to be excited about parties or get togethers and never understood why people enjoyed them so much. “Alright Levy, but I don’t think I am going to have much fun.” The only thing he may of enjoyed would be watching Natsu making a fool out of himself, however the food was something that piqued to his interest as well. “So what kind of festivities are there going to be this time?”

“Oh come on, you can’t say you don’t think you’ll have fun! If you keep telling yourself that you won’t have any fun! Just be optimistic, alright?” Well, at least he was following. It should have been a good sign, right? “Well, Mira said she was going to bring a popcorn machine, and basically try to turn it into a little carnival, games and everything. However I wasn’t planning on most of it, knowing our guild, all the games will probably get demolished within the first five minutes.”

He mimicked Levy’s words in the most condescending tone possible. It was almost childish the way he did it. “Okey, Miss Smartass. What are we going to do? What do friends do when they ‘hangout’?” Jack asked making air quotations with his fingers.

Laughing softly at her friend’s antics, the age shrugged her shoulders. “Well, Lu and I like to read together a lot, but I doubt you’d want to do that. We could always just go see a movie or something. Oh! How about we go to the new fro-yo place that opened?”

The fat kitsune nodded towards Levy and decided to suggest an easy-looking job, pointing it out to the script mage. “How about this one? It’s for a taste tester. That seems like a very easy one.” She wanted to start off simple and then work her way up.

Biting her bottom lip as she leaned closer to the job board, after a quick read through the script mage nodded, smiling brightly. “Well, it’ll certainly be easy! And it’s in town too, so we won’t have to worry about traveling a lot. We’ll just have to tell Mira that we’re taking this job before we leave.” 

The tubby kits unexpected Ahri waddled into the Fairy Tail Guild Hall-glancing at the job board.

“I was thinking about taking that escorting job myself, but if you want it, I can pick another one.”

“Sleep actually sounds like a great idea. Jet and Droy were talking about how they wanted to look for another job tomorrow, but honestly even if I slept the entire day, I doubt I’d have enough energy to go with them again.”

“I doubt I need a reason to go back home… At least, not for a long time.” He stroked her hair. “Besides… right now… This place is home… And I don’t need anywhere else…”

Looking up at the blonde, Levy really couldn’t help but feel guilty for the happiness she felt from his words. Really, how could she be so selfish to like the fact that he wanted to stay here in this world? Letting out a soft sigh, Levy rested her head on the other’s shoulder, relaxing against him. “Well... As much as I hate to admit it, I’m glad you see this place as home too....”

He nodded. “Yeah… The first person I met here… And the one I’d give anything for…” He tightened his grip a little.

“Ed...” She murmured softly, a slight redness making itself present on her cheeks. He’d give up anything for her? Eyes shutting, the mage rested her arms on the other’s chest, a sall smile tugging at her lips. Why was she happy about this? Because of her he had one more reason not to return home, where he belonged. “Well, you know I’m always here to help in any way I can. Even if you end up deciding you want to return home, I’ll do whatever I can to make that happen....”

He knew the smile was forced, but he couldn’t help but pull her in for a hug. “Yeah… I’d miss you too Levy.” He held her as close as he could, he didn’t feel like letting go for what felt like hours.

“Honestly... You’d miss me?” She really couldn’t help but ask. She cared too much for him, and no doubt she’d miss him but.... She really wasn’t that special. She wasn’t that strong of a mage, nor did she stand out that much compared to other people. Maybe it was her own insecurities that made her ask the question, still it was too late to take the words back.

“Well, yeah, obviously.” He put his notebook away. “But… If you think about it, isn’t there always some choice that leads to sadness?” He looked at her. “I admit, its a bummer I can’t go home… But… I think this world is pretty fun in of itself.” He smiled. “I’ve got a lot of great friends, and the pay of being in the guild isn’t too bad. …Most of the time anyway.”

“Yeah, I guess you’re right.” Levy said, forcing out a smile. Whether he left or stayed, there would be sad feelings either way. Did she like his decision to stay? Of course. But she couldn’t help but worry that he would be happier back home, without her. “Well, if it means anything to you, I like that you’ll be around for a long time. I think I’d miss you too much if you went back home...”

Sting had been watching her with effort trying to get the book for the last few minutes. It was actually humorous to watch, but he only observed and wondered by which numbered attempt she would ask for his help? 

“Yeah sure thing shortie.” He was only teasing her and reached up to snatch the book that she wanted. Opening up and scanning through the pages, his interest dissipated and he handed the red hardback to her.

“Oh, come on, I’m not that short...” She murmured, cheeks slightly puffing up as she pouted. However her sour mood was only temporary, instantly perking up as she was handed the large tome. 

“Thank you!~” She chirped, hoping up once in excitement. Of course to him it would probably be boring, but to her it was just a pool of information waiting to be explored.

It was getting pretty late, the script mage yawning as she made her way home from the book store. She couldn’t help but be excited to dive into her new tomes, having a nice mug of hot cocoa and wrapped up in a blanket. However, all those plans were instantly tossed to the side as someone practically dropped from the sky in front of her. 

“Wha-?” Levy blinked a few times in surprise, looking up before her gaze returned to the person on the ground. A kind smile spread over her lips, a hand reaching out to help the other up. 

“Are you alright? Where did you come from? Jeez, if I didn’t know any better I would think that the weather got a little too strange and it started raining people!”

“Oh no you don’t! You aren’t allowed to step a single foot into this library!” She snapped, arms crossing over her chest as she stood in front of the male, blocking his way. She still hadn’t forgotten what he’d done in the past, and sure maybe he wouldn’t be a dick to the books, but he certainly was to her and the script mage simply wasn’t in the mood to deal with it today.

“Sure! What sort of job are we going on?” Ahri was quite excited to begin her career as a member of Fairy Tail, glancing over to the script mage. She had noticed that she had been getting stares from the others currently in the Guild Hall. “Why is everyone staring at me?” The fat kitsune whispered to the script mage.

Tilting her head to the side, a finger rose to her lips, tapping gently as she looked through the jobs on the board. She figured an easy job would be best, even if it didn’t pay a lot it would be good experience. “Hmmm... How about that escorting job?” She asked, pointing before she took the paper in her hands, pulling it down so she could look at it more closely. Hazel eyes lifted at the other’s words, looking around the guild hall before her attention was back on the new guild mate. “Huh. I don’t know. Maybe they’re just shy to meet a new member? Be thankful, though. Normally they are pretty rowdy.”
