stumbled here by accident and. so glad i can have somewhere I can talk about it because like... yeah it's far from canon and it's fully a headcanon but. since the rondo origins event i haven't been able to get system host aoi out of my mind... the way she talks to 'herself' on her brain and how it very clearly is different from her own self... how after that the other three rondo members mention aoi looked different on that live... argh

WAIT THIS IS A CANON EVENT? I remember opening D4DJ for the first time and jokingly being like 'Aoi looks like she has identity issues- She must be a system' I didn't think there was anything to back that theory/headcanon up??? Thank you for showing me this!!!

It shocked me to find out that people will completely skip season 1 in their ATLA rewatches. The season gets a little too much flak imo. Is it a little more childish than S2 and S3? Maybe! But so many important moments and setups are established in that season, and in terms of story and pacing, it’s one of the strongest seasons right next to S2 imo!

people skipping s1 in their atla rewatches would explain a lot of fandom misconceptions. like of course you don't see how much aang and katara love each other if you don't see their first meeting and the way they instantly bond. of course you don't understand aang's grief and loss if you don't see him go into the avatar state at the western air temple. of course you think sokka's solely the funny guy if you only see him after he's loosened up a bit. of course you see zuko as a precious baby who's done no wrong if you miss all the episodes where he's a villain. of course you fundamentally misunderstand the show if you ignore an entire THIRD of it
