Leo screaming for his dad in ‘Flushed But Never Forgotten’ is treated as a humorous but Leo going to an adult for help when he looses his brothers is something he’s done before

In ‘Portal Jacked’ Leo goes to Senor Hueso as soon as he looses his brothers in his portal

And the reason I think Leo went to Senor Hueso was that Leo had portaled himself to Run of the Mill, making Senor Hueso the closest adult he knew.

I think it’s interesting that when Leo is left alone & believes his brothers are in danger, he’ll go to the closest adult he can find for help. 

Most cartoons have characters try & save their friends/ family by themselves but Leo is just like ‘I’m 14 I’m getting a grown up!’

So in Rise there’s a small running gag where whenever one of his family members try to assume what Leo’s doing it cuts to him doing basically the opposite of what they’ve just said.

Raph: Hey! Where’s Leo?

Mikey: I’m sure wherever he is, he’s trying to save us

Raph: Leo probably talked his way straight into Big Mamma’s dungeon 

But the interesting thing about this gag is the reverse isn’t true, when Leo guesses his families actions he’s almost always correct in predicting their actions

Leo: Look I bet the only reason we’re here right now is ‘cause Donnie inputted coordinates 

Donnie: After inputting Shredder’s previous coordinates on the X-Y-Z and D for Donnie axis, I have calculated that this is the sight of our final resting spot

Leo: Mikey Razzed his Tazz

Mikey: Whip-o-Rama!

Leo: April finally used her crane license

April: ‘Why would you get a crane license April?’ BECAUSE THIS!

Leo: And Raph is going to put it all together in a plan to defeat that led head with this mystic collar 

Raph: Wow Leo that’s remarkably accurate 

Leo being able to predict his families actions to a near perfect accuracy shows his skill as a strategist & potential as a leader but the fact that the reverse isn’t true, that Leo’s family CAN’T seem to predict Leo’s actions to a almost humorous degree shows that while Leo has an understanding of his family, his family fails to truly understand him.

I just can’t stop thinking about the fact that Leo knows his family far better than they know him.

During the final episode of Rise, Casey joins the Hamato Clan with Karai even considering Casey a Hamato

Karai: Thank you my young Hamato’s, we will always be with you

I think the reason that Karai was so quick to consider Casey as part of the Hamato clan was because Casey might have possibly joined the Hamato Clan in the most traditional way.

Karai: He led the Foot down a path of evil, I had no choice but to rise up against him starting a clan of my own, the Hamato

During the episode Shreddy or Not it was revealed that Karai was once part of the Foot Clan but defected from the Foot & founded her own clan in order to stop the Shredder, it’s possible that Karai wasn’t the only member of the Foot to realise that the Shredder was evil & there’s a possibility that the first members of the Hamato Clan were members of the Foot that decided to go against the Shredder. 

A member of the Foot going against the Shredder was practically how the Hamato Clan was founded in the first place so Casey kind of became a Hamato in the most traditional way possible
