Honestly I’m already used with seiyuu scandals that I can easily separate from art and the person. But I just want to say how rude was the Bunshun reporter for video recording him and then show the pictures to him?!! I felt that was greatly disrespectful.
Oh well it’s not a good year for Profit with Ishikawa Kaito scandal too. Hope they can recover from their scandals.
Okay, this is not news I want to promote that badly, but figured I should clarify since I received a number of DMs of people being confused about the translation I put up on my other blog. Not sure why people are arguing otherwise, but this is indeed an official statement of Okamoto owning up to his actions.
First of all, let’s have a look at the apparent “ambiguous” remark:
大亀あすかさんと婚姻していること含め、事実です。
Some people are arguing that he only affirmed his marriage with Ogame Asuka, and nothing else. But please do not turn a blind eye to the word 含め; meaning it is not simply “It is true that I am married to Ogame Asuka” – but rather, in its most literal form:
“The matters, including me being married to Ogame Asuka, are true.”
The rest is inferred from the statement as a whole text, have a look at the following line:
妻帯者であるにも関わらず、自覚なき行動をしてしまい 、 大変申し訳ありませんでした。
In its most literal form: “Despite being married with a wife, I made a careless decision, I deeply apologise.”
What do you think this “careless decision (自覚なき行動)” is referring to? Of course, we all know it’s him being caught out by paparazzi. For what though? Caught out to be married? How did they do that?
Well, they caught photos of him walking out of a love hotel with a woman [see 1&2 & others]. So the paparazzi called the agency to ask who the lady was, only to find out Okamoto was already married to someone else.
To add on, have a look at the next paragraph that was purposefully put together:
妻には、当然ながらとても呆れられました。
これからを許してもらえるのならば、誠実に妻を支えられる人間になりたいと思います。
This was meant to be message from him to his wife, instead of him to the fans. He explicitly stated that, his wife was “disappointed (呆れる alt. stunned)”. Then went on to say that if he may be forgiven, he wants to be a person that can support her “in good faith (誠実に)” from here on out – which is certainly not a word to apologise for being careless in the sense of “accidentally exposing their marriage”, but quite certainly, in the sense of fidelity.
In all honesty, I did not want to believe this. The moment I heard the news, I told myself it’s definitely not true. So I clicked into the article to find fault in it – I hoped I found fault in it. But the information only became truer and truer, I died a little on the inside when I saw the video of him being confronted with the photos on the streets. His reaction was not normal. But somewhere in me wanted to believe that he is still who he made himself to be, I couldn’t believe he was someone who could do anything to trample on other people’s feelings (it’s a self-serving impression). So I told myself there might be a reason why he was caught in such an awkward photo. But his official statement came, and reality daunted on me.
Before you want to refute anything, please read the original sources carefully. According to timeline:
[1] Bunshun #1 [2] Bunshun #2 (w/ video) [3] Ogame Asuka official statement [4] Okamoto Nobuhiko official statement
It’s an interesting phenomenon that the Japanese fans have long accepted that the scandal is true, and yet a portion of English fans seem to think those native Japanese are misunderstanding the Japanese statement in their native language.
If you call yourself a fan, I plead that you do not avert your eyes from what is truly being said, and accept his words honestly. Don’t add anything or turn a blind eye to keep yourself in denial. I get that it’s not easy for some people, at least, it wasn’t easy for me. Someone had to remind me to not put celebrities on a pedestal, I thought I understood it in my head long ago but I guess I didn’t. I shouldn’t force upon my own values to these people just because I look up to them, really.
One thing remains the same is – this one adultery doesn’t negate everything we love about him in the past, but unfortunately, what he does in the future will not negate what he did here either. At the end of the day, I can be disappointed all I want but it’s their life and their privacy – I have no right to judge or probe further as a stranger.

Happy 38th Birthday, Hosoya Yoshimasa
A huge huge huge thank you to the 21 people who have worked with me on this video.
I can talk about Hosoya forever, but the most I can say is that I’ve been a fan of him for three years now, and I’ve never been happier.
Thank you, Hosoya, for touching people like me.
I’ve also send this video to him by email, and typed it in Japanese, so hopefully he’ll read it too.

MP100 “Characters & Such Official Guidebook” - Interviews ENG Translation
The Characters & Such Official Guidebook was released mid-April 2019 as a guide for all things related to MP100 season 1 & 2. The guidebook also includes interviews with the voice actors of the main five characters (Mob, Reigen, Dimple, Ritsu, Teru), followed by interviews with Director Tachikawa, Series Coordinator Seko, Character Designer Kameda & finally with ONE himself.
Contains a bunch of interesting trivia and conversations (eg. Tachikawa and Kameda looked at fan art before they began the anime, an alternative past for Reigen was once considered, plenty of references to S3 & broccoli arc.) This is a pretty long read, so please enjoy!

(KH3 Remind Spoilers) Time to talk about Yozora’s JP VA
Well after a loooong time I decided to write down all my thoughts out about the reveal of Yozora’s seiyuu as Tasuku Hatanaka. I mean we all suspect it back when the final trailer was released, but it’s still mindblowing that it’s confirmed that it is Tasuku Hatanaka.
To think just last year that I posted about Tasuku Hatanaka appearing in Mob Psycho II because he finally able to meet his idol, Miyu Irino, during work. Fast forward a year later, Hatanaka managed to:
- Released his first album
- Landed a lot of main and supporting roles in anime.
- Held his first solo live.
- Then he even got married to Sayaka Senbongi on December 2019 at a young age of 25.
- And now he even FREAKING GOT A ROLE AS YOZORA in KH, which possibly means he could be the lead for the next KH game (which could be a spin-off). We all know there’s going to be a Yozora KH game.
2019 is really a productive and busy year for him, it’s crazy. To think that I first heard him in Kabaneri and enjoyed his first single Stand Up back in 2017, and now his popularity is booming.
Because Yozora is a secret boss, the Japanese side never did an official announcement of Yozora and his JP VA. But of course based on the trends, usually the characters featured in secret endings become the main character for the next spin off game, so I expect an official announcement for the next KH instalment soon. Square Enix still didn’t unveil Final Fantasy 16 or any of their plans for the next decade.
After the official announcement, I can’t wait to hear when he audition and got the role. Due to some of my stalking research on Twitter, back in March 2019 Hatanaka answered his favorite video game series is Kingdom Hearts, with additional comments as ‘KH3 just released right? I like Miyu Irino’s acting so much...’ (Seriously his respect for Miyu Irino is so huge, in 2019 there were a lot of instances that he mentioned Irino’s name).
So I just want to know did he already landed the role as Yozora as early as March 2019 (hence why he answered that as a nod)? Or did he got the audition offer after that? I bet he was so happy when he landed the role, imagine being able to say that iconic lines back from original Kingdom Hearts with the person you admired so much. I felt like Tasuku Hatanaka is living his best life for now, but there still more better things to come from him.
Well hopefully he finally gets his dream to co-act again with Miyu Irino in anime so he can meet Irino more at work. And I look forward what KH and Nomura will give to us next, even though I groaned loudly watching that secret ending in KH3 Remind (ugh Nomura we want to move on from that era already whyyy).

Yes, I totally love his Yozora! Like Dylan Sprouse played Yozora straight as that dark, brooding JRPG protagonist, which is amazing too, but Hatanaka seems tried to portray Yozora like this tired, vulnerable boy instead. Yozora just came off more boyish and softer in the JP version than the ENG version.
Aahh I'm still not over Hatanaka Tasuku's voice as Yozora! He gives Yozora so much life!!

CONGRATULATIONS TASUKU HATANAKA AND SAYAKA SENBONGI FOR YOUR MARRIAGE!!!
Ohmygod I didn’t follow Hatanaka’s official twitter so I saw Hanae Natsuki’s tweet about it and I literally choked to tears with HAPPINESS when I confirmed it myself.
AHHHHHH I’M SO HAPPY FOR THEMMMMM!!!!! YESSS SO MANY SEIYUU MARRIAGES THIS YEAR!!!!!
I posted about Hatanaka Tasuku before and I am literally on a middle of fangirling over him because I listened to Hatanaka’s 2D idol songs and his own songs (it was so goodddd). Last night I listened to the Kabaneri Radio of him with his now wife which is famous for being Do-M radio, because Hatanaka called her Senbongi-sama and then he will get bashed verbally from her and the listeners. No joke he literally went out all masochist on that radio with no shame with Senbongi trying not to kill him for his stupidity. Now that they are married Kabaneri Radio listeners just basically hearing them flirting with each other for years HAHAHAHA.
Anyway I do feel a bit worried because both of them are still young (Hatanaka 25 and Senbongi 24) and they really just starting to climb the peak to their careers with landing main roles frequently. But I guess I can only watch over them warmly and hope for the best - I wish them all happiness for now and the future. I really look forward on how they further develop as actors :).
(On a side note if I’m moved to tears with this wedding and Ryota Ohsaka’s wedding, I don’t know how I’m going to react when Miyu Irino announced his marriage lol.)

As a Miyu Irino fan, I’m always surprised how he’s always charted in almost every Top 20 poll even though he has so few anime roles and barely appeared in events. His popularity is amazing.
But how could Kouki Uchiyama not listed?!
Charapedia's Most Popular Seiyuu 2019 (First Half)
Charapedia actually released the result of the survey they did between March 21 - April 17 about most popular seiyuu in the first half of 2019. The demographic of the survey is :
Men : 44.3% | Women : 55.7% | 10s and 20s : 65.8% | 30s : 34.2%
So, for the female, we have :
Aoi Yuuki
Minase Inori
Sakura Ayane
Hanazawa Kana
Sawashiro Miyuki
Takahashi Rie
Uchida Maaya
Hayami Saori
Kayano Ai
Oonishi Saori
Touyama Nao
Kugimiya Rie
Taketatsu Ayana
Ogura Yui
Amamiya Sora
Mizuki Nana
Hidaka Rina
Taneda Risa
Itou Shizuka
Endou Aya
As for the male, the list goes like this :
Kamiya Hiroshi
Kaji Yuuki
Nakamura Yuuichi
Fukuyama Jun
Saitou Souma
Sugita Tomokazu
Matsuoka Yoshitsugu
Okamoto Nobuhiko
Shimono Hiro
Miyano Mamoru
Ono Daisuke
Ishida Akira
Sakurai Takahiro
Kimura Ryouhei
Nakai Kazuya
Uchida Yuuma
Aoi Shouta
Irino Miyu
Namikawa Daisuke
Toyonaga Toshiyuki
Since I don't really follow female seiyuu, I don't have any reaction to the list. Somehow it's kind of predicted.
BUT. The male list sure have surprised me.
From a lot of list I've seen, Saitou Souma is in one of his highest place. He rarely got placed in top 10 so I'm really happy to see this.
BUT. Miyano Mamoru is actually placed at position number 10 and Ono Daisuke in number 11 makes me surprised. Is it because they didn't take a lot of work for those months? It is taken before Tenki no Ko was released so I kind of understand why Miyano Mamoru only got 10th place.
And I'm also surprised that Hanae Natsuki didn't get to the list while his Kimetsu no Yaiba's seiyuu mate, Toyonaga Toshiyuki, get a place in top 20.
And I'm glad that Uchida Yuuma can be on the list, also Namikawa Daisuke!!! Finally this old man get the recognition.
Did the list surprise you? If so, what makes you surprised the most?

Vinland Saga anime is what I dreamed and more
I read the manga for years now and really didn’t put any high expectations for an anime adaptation or a decent one if any (side-eyed the Berserk anime).
So imagine my surprise when they did announce an anime adaptation. Honestly the last few months I tried to ignore the news from anime side because I want to watch with the most low expectations I can have lol. I’m expecting a Golden Kamuy adaptation style, great but didn’t elevate the source material to next level.
Then I watched the three episodes and I’m honestly blown away. Let’s be honest the animation and CGI of Studio Wit would never reach the top level of Bones, Madhouse and ufotable (and with Mob Psycho 100 II already set the bar for the greatest level of animation this year, it’s hard to beat that) but the direction, camerawork, storyboarding and music are incredibly exceptional. I cried so many times already.
And oh my dear Thorfinn, you broke my heart so many times in the OP. I forgot how much I love this boy and seeing he developed great on the later parts of story just made me teared up again. He doesn’t deserve any of this :(
Anyway please watch Vinland Saga anime, if they managed to maintain consistent quality (because you know how much Studio Wit likes to crash and burn with their production schedules) you are about to experience one of the greatest anime in this decade, seriously. Yukimura Makoto’s writing is THAT incredible, as expected from the Planetes mangaka.

Thank you for this! I love it! But I’m actually surprised that he has a younger brother because I got the impression that he’s an only child with how he always did whatever he wants lol.
Irino Miyu - Trivia
It’s soon going to be Miyu’s 10th Anniversary of his singing career. I thought it’s a good opportunity to make a list of Miyu trivia that I collected over the years. I’ve always wanted to do it but was too lazy.😅 It’s also in celebration of his upcoming 6th mini-album’s release in 5 days.
This is a little pet project I wanted to complete before going on hiatus for a few months. I love, respect and admire this guy, and with this, I’d like to let people know a bit more about Miyu beyond his voice and his characters. I’ve tried to add references and sources, most of them are with links too.
- It’s an unusual way to pronounce the kanji 自由 “Miyu” which is normally pronounced “Jiyuu (Freedom)”. His parents wanted him to live his life freely and independently so they gave him that name. They originally wanted to name him “Miyuki ( 自由貴 )“ but thought Miyu sounds neater. (Hairuno Jiyuu Radio)
- And true to his name, Miyu is very free-spirited as many people, from his manager to voice actors friends, would often point out. (Break Out 2015)
- His parents enrolled him in Himawari Theater group when he was only 4 years old. Other voice actors like Miyano Mamoru, Uchiyama Kouki and Kimura Ryohei were also members of that group.
- They thought Miyu might be interested in theaters, when they saw him watching a theater play intensely:
vimeo
- Miyu graduated from Meiji Daigakuin University, majoring in Economics and Business. He once mentioned in KAmiYU 2 that his university was near Yokohama, so he may have attended the Ikuta Campus.(wikipedia.jp)
- He had his first VA role at the age of 6.
- He was 12 when he voiced Haku (Spirited Away). And that was right before he hit puberty and his voice changed.
- After voicing Haku, he would imagine himself having the ability to fly. He once ran up a stairway and jumped. A week later, when the pain didn’t get better, a crack was discovered in the bone of his foot. (Dansei Koukousei no Nichijou Radio)
- For his role in Garden of words he memorized almost all the lines and the director, Shinkai Makoto, was impressed. Miyu wanted to give a different nuance to his voice acting by fully focusing on the screen instead of reading from the script. (Makoto Shinkai in “Garden of Words” Bonus)
- Shinkai Makoto is quite fond of Miyu. He likes his voice, the way he carries himself when he voice acts and he thinks Miyu is “kakkouii”. There was almost no doubt in his mind when he cast Miyu for Garden of Words. (”Garden of Words” Bonus)
- Shinkai-san couldn’t imagine anyone else for the characters Shin and Shun in Hoshi wo ou kodomo. He has also seen some of Miyu’s acting in other works and praised his versatility and skill, saying that Miyu is a natural. "Not only that, he’s such an openhearted guy and so easy to like that I became his fan instantly (laughs)!” (“Hoshi wo ou kodomo” official site)
- Shinkai-san would continue to praise Miyu’s voice acting in other movies that aren’t his, like in Silent Voice (2017) and Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms (2018). (Shinkai Makoto Twitter, eigaland)
- One of Miyu’s skills as a voice actor is said to be his “natural, raw“ voice acting. Probably because he didn’t have the traditional training that voice actors generally have. That’s why some directors like to cast him when they want a voice acting that is different than in Anime series. (“Hoshi wo ou kodomo” official site , “Silent Voice” interview)
- Miyu would love to do more bad guy roles. When he got to voice one in the anime Kurozuka, he was very excited. He apparently has kept saying that he’d like to play a evil character and Kingdom Heart’s creator Tetsuya Nomura joked that he got carried away with it when he created Vanitas. (Hairuno Jiyuu Radio, BBS interview)
- Miyu is quite an airhead. When he eats he sometimes gets pieces of food stuck on unusual places like his hair, his forehead or his shoulder. Though he eats in a normal way. So he says. (Break Out 2015)
- He often forgets stuff like his hats, umbrellas or even his bags in the train. Somehow he would lose things that he was holding in his hand moments ago, like his train ticket. And even once his credit card during one of his oversea travels, though it was quickly found, fortunately. (Hairuno Jiyuu Radio, Kiracomp 2016)
- Saito Chiwa once gave him chocolates on Valentine’s Day. Miyu put it in his pocket but forgot and it melted. He felt very bad about it and apologized to her. (Gundam 00 Celestial Being Radio)
- Some people call him weird/mysterious. (Haikyuu Radio 2014, KAmiYU in Wonderland 2)
- According to him, the first impression of some people is that he seems like a nice guy but also kind of distant. Miyu can be very frisky but also aloof at times and people can’t really figure him out. (Haikyuu Radio 2014)
- Actor Kamiyama Ryuuji, who worked with Miyu twice in stage plays, said "I think I’ve never met someone with such clear eyes like him (laughs). He’s a wonderful person with a boyish charm and I really like him.” (Vincent van Gogh Musical Interview 2016)
- Miyano Mamoru said that even though there’s some age difference between him and Miyu, it doesn’t feel like it to him. He values Miyu’s opinions and thoughts and feels that he can continue doing what he does because he has a friend like Miyu as well. (Miyano Mamoru’s M-one GranPrix Radio)
- Miyu admires Mamo. They are childhood friends but only started collaborating more in voice acting since Kingdom Hearts. (Hairuno Jiyuu Radio, nicopedia)
- He can play the guitar, but also the drum and piano a bit. He actually learnt how to play them as a project of his then freshly started radio show Hairuno Jiyuu. (Hairuno Jiyuu Radio)
- He had some training in several dance styles as a kid, like hip-hop, free style, pop and ballet. (Kiracomp 2016, Hairuno Jiyuu Radio)
- He loves horror movies. He also likes going to the haunted house in amusement parks. (DN.Angel Bonus Disc, Sakurai Takahiro no kakko warai)
vimeo
- Miyu hates loud sudden noises. In Kirafes 2009, he forgot to put his earpieces in and got startled by the sudden explosive noise during his Faith perfomance.(Hairuno Jiyuu, Kiramune Fan Meeting 2014)
- He doesn’t drink nor smoke. He doesn’t like the taste of alcohol and would only order soft drinks whenever he’s out with friends or colleaques. But he loves tea and milk. (Hairu no Jiyuu Radio)
- Miyu has a dog. (KAmiYU in Wonderland 2) Apparently he has two dogs and a bird too now, I’ve heard it from a japanese fan who read it in a seiyuu mag.
- According to the cast of Kimi to Boku, Miyu rarely gets angry. Miyu said that the last time he got really angry was in high school. He was carrying a table up the stairs and he got kancho-ed by a classmate. Miyu was so angry that he got into a real fight with him. (”Kimi to Boku” event in 2011)
- Miyu was more interested in musical and theater than pop music, but a friend once invited him to a KAT-TUN concert, saying that the experience could be useful if he were to perform in a live concert too one day. Miyu felt a bit weird at first, being there and surrounded by girls, but he eventually got carried away and was impressed by how cool and awesome the idols were. (Hairuno Jiyuu)
- He was very nervous during Kirafes 2009. And it’s been quite some years since he danced and he would mentally go over the moves backstage while CONNECT was performing. When it was his turn it occured to him that he should’ve gone over the lyrics as well. (Hairuno Jiyuu)
- Suzumura Kenichi said though that Miyu never seems nervous but is always having fun on the stage. And that Miyu is a very hardworking guy but he never lets on about it. (Kirafes 2010 commentary & 2012)
-Suzu apparently adores Miyu. He’s never tired of mentioning that he knew Miyu as a kid and they’d often go hanging out together after work. He still remembers vividly when he was treating little Miyu to curry rice, how adorable Miyu was when he tried his best to finish the adult sized dish. (Sheeh! Wave Radio 2018, Kirafes 2009)
- Miyu had french language courses for four years during high school and liked it so much that he once considered studying French literature. (Sheeh! Wave Radio 2019)
- Suzu and Miyu were in France in late 2018, shooting for a Bonus DVD for the Osomatsu movie. Suzu highly enjoyed travelling with Miyu and if he were to go oversea again, he would love to go with Miyu again. ”With Miyu there’s always something funny happening!“ (Sheeh! Wave Radio 2019)
- He was amazed at how experienced Miyu is. “That guy’s got great knowledge of how to manage in travels and in a strange country, he’s smart! Even though he’s a baka too.(laughs)“ (Sheeh! Wave Radio 2019)
- Miyu is very bad with tongue twisters, but Suzu loves to make him say them for fun every time they meet. (Sheeh! Wave Radio 2015)
- Suzu said that teasing Miyu is just so much fun because of his reaction every time. And Miyu would always go along with it. “Miyu, stay your pure, honest self (so that we can tease you more).“ (Sheeh! Wave Radio 2015)
- After he graduated from university, Miyu went travelling to several countries. He discovered his passion in travelling and his interest in other countries, so he always takes some time off every year to travel somewhere. (”Boku no mitsuketa mono” making of 2015 & “Dare to Dream” making of 2016)
- Miyu had two hiatuses, a short one during 2013 when he decided to concentrate on his stage acting (kiramune official site), and during 2017 when he went abroad studying. (kiramune official site).
- It was during that time that he also went to Valencia, Spain, attending the Fire Festival Las Fallas. The experience there inspired him to write the song Mascleta for his upcoming mini album “Live your dream“. (TV Guide, April 2019)
- He also did backpacking, exploring several locations. It was during one of those trips that he wrote Monet for his mini-album “Live your Dream“. (TV Guide, April 2019)
- That year abroad left deep impression on him and he thought he grew and learnt a lot as an artist and as a person. On Sakurai Takahiro’s Comchat Countdown he said that he would’ve loved to stay abroad longer. While Miyu was abroad, him and Saku and Miyu kept in touch, exchanging messages. (Comchat countdown)
- Kamiya Hiroshi also likes teasing Miyu, though he does it in a more physical manner, like punching or kicking Miyu out of a whim, hiding his shoes/mobile phone/pen, kicking his hat in a corner and stretching it until it becomes too wide to wear. In Suzu’s words, Miyu would always get “some physical damage from Kamiya’s teasing“. (Sheeh! Wave Radio 2015, KAmiYU in Wonderland 4, Haikyuu Radio 2014)
- Kamiyan gives him clothes that he doesn’t need anymore. Once, when Kamiyan was moving, Miyu saw how many clothes he had and was astonished.(KAmiYU in Wonderland 1&4)
- Kamiyan once bought an iPod for Miyu’s birthday. And he had the cast of Captain Earth sign and write sth on the cardboard box. Miyu was very touched and embarassed at the same time. He still has the box. (KAmiYU in Wonderland 4)
- They share some similarities as both love to play pranks on other people. And both aren’t good at saying “sweet words“ with a straight face, they feel embarassed even if it is for a character. (toretame)
- For a while they both had the same phone case, because Miyu had one with a character of Kamiyan as the motif and Kamiyan liked it so much that he got himself the same too. (KAmiYU in Wonderland 3)
- Miyu gave Kamiyan a huge stuffed tuna for his birthday once because he somehow had the idea that Kamiyan likes tuna. (KAmiYU in Wonderland 1)
vimeo
- He is also good friends with Uchiyama Kouki. They once travelled together in Kyushu and sometimes they had to rent a car to get around. Miyu would drive, since Ucchi doesn’t have a driver’s licence. Ucchi said he doesn’t intend to get one, but “as long as I have Miyu I’m fine.” (Btw, does he still have no licence now? Somebody can tell me?) (Uchiyama Kouki 1 Cour!)
-They would always “argue“ over some trivial stuff though, according to Kimura Ryohei. (Kimi to Boku Radio)
-One time, when Ucchi, Ryohei and Miyu were out eating pasta, Miyu couldn’t decide what to order. Because he wanted to try them all though, he asked them to order different dishes and he would have some of theirs. Ryohei: “He’s such a kid!“ (Kimi to Boku Event 2011)
- Miyu has a sweet tooth. And he often leaves the crusty, hard part of the bread. (Hairuno Jiyuu, KAmiYU in Wonderland 3, Gundam 00 Celestial Being Radio) I love how Mamo immediately chuckles when Miyu says that he has a sweet tooth. Like, yeah, he knows it very well and then he goes on teasing Miyu: “You’ll get fat!“
- Miyu adores Namikawa Daisuke and likes to tease him a lot. He also often jokes that people would always warn him not to become like Namikawa Daisuke. When they worked together for the first time in Tsubasa Chronicle Reservoir NamiDai said to Miyu that he should keep doing things the way he wants and that he will always support him. (Kiracomp 2016, Haikyuu Radio 2014)
- Miyu, Namikawa Daisuke and Iwata Mitsuo were all child actors. And coincidentally, they are all “ame-otoko“ (”rain men”, as their presence seem to cause rain). (KAmiYU in Wonderland 2012)
- Murase Ayumu is the same age like Miyu but doesn’t really like the fact to be pointed out and would always insist that they are from different school year. Ayu said that “Irino-san has such strong senpai air. Even though I do know that we’re the same age, admitting it makes me feel small somehow.“ Miyu said Ayu shouldn’t feel self-conscious about it but gives in eventually. (Haikyuu Radio 2014)
- Setsuo Itou has always admired Miyu since elementary school when he played Kingdom Hearts (he’s 3 years younger than Miyu). During the recording of Mob Psycho 100 Miyu would gently guide him sometimes. (Mob Psycho 100 Radio)
- Apparently, Miyu taught Hatanaka Tasuku the basics of voice acting when they worked together in YuGiOh Zexal! and Hatanaka is very grateful to him and would mention in his radio and in interviews that Miyu is someone he looks up to.(got this bit thanks to @bluesora91)
- Miyu has a younger brother whose name means the opposite of his. (Sheeh! Wave Radio 2018)
Since Miyu wrote the song 例えば歌が日記だったなら (If a song is a diary) in his upcoming mini-album “Live your Dream” which is dedicated to his parents, here some facts about them:
- Miyu’s father is free-spirited and quite a character as well. Here’s a funny story Miyu recounted:
vimeo
- Sometimes he’d just use Miyu’s toothbrush instead of his own and displace it, and Miyu couldn’t find it or would wonder why his toothbrush was wet. Or he would scare Miyu in the middle of the night. (Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou Radio)
- Miyu’s mother used to work with deaf people and thus understands the sign language. (“Silent Voice” Special Programme).
(It got longer than I thought orz. And I’ve tried to limit it and left some facts out. Still became that long, ahaha!) But I hope you enjoyed it! Thanks so much for reading it! 😊

Mob Psycho II Episode 9 just give me feelings
- Ritsu yes he’s going to appear more.
- Sugiyama Noriaki as Shimazaki was incredibly smooth and I LOVE him already.
- AND HATANAKA TASUKU APPEARED. Finally after years from YGO Zexal he finally worked in the same anime with his idol Irino Miyu! This was the best part for me!
- And Hatanaka killed it as Joseph, he sounds completely different but great. I always had the sense he struggled acting with his deep voice, but this time he was amazing. I like to think that he practiced hard and 100% concentrate because he doesn’t want to mess up in front of his idol 🤗
- I’m just so proud of him because last year he took a break from twitter and he always seems to be low on self-confidence. But he worked hard and about to release his first album and live this year. And now being able to work again with Irino (cause he really really want to meet Irino again in work) would have motivated him greatly. Irino Miyu better treat him gently and take him out to dinner last year after recording, Hatanaka really admired him greatly.
- Then a magazine would release an interview with anime staff, and the cast interview are Setsuo Ito, Irino and Sachi Kokuryuu. I’m happy to see that Irino is actively getting involved in anime promotion, he finally going to appear for the first in Chihayafuru seiyuu event.

Hyped for Carole & Tuesday
I just want to say thank you Shinichiro Watanabe for making the anime with lots of foreign composers. And for casting Miyu Irino and Mamoru Miyano together, very happy to see them in a same show.
