He knew she had a hard day from the moment he laid his eyes on her. Wrapping his arms around her, he embraced her, kissing the top of her head in a comforting manner. "And I don't have to leave early, I can stay as long as you want me to, don't need to be at the office tomorrow. What can I do for you now?"

Torrance slid the play money towards him, sighing. "Exactly what I said. What kind of fucking asshole does that to someone when you rang up a nearly two hundred dollar tab? Said he left me a nice tip under the napkin. Yeah. This is such a great tip."

Romy was horrible at flirting. It was something that she just didn't have the talent for, so to speak, but she figured if anyone could take it in stride? It would be Rodrick. Deflating a little bit when he started laughing, she rolled her eyes. "I was trying to see if you were interested in maybe going out, Rod. When am I supposed to ask you? You're always very faded - I guess I'm worse than I thought when it comes to seeing if someone's interested."

Ripley frowned a bit, reaching out and resting a hand on Liv's arm for support. She didn't know the situation, but she knew that the person wasn't leaving Liv alone, which alarmed her. "Well, I won't stop you if that's what you decide to do. But we're going to need a really good cover story so you don't go to jail."

"I haven't had coffee yet, sarcasm is lacking," Erik groaned, stretching more to try and wake the rest of the way up before answering her. "Sometimes I can be a normal human being that doesn't need to say something that might get me punched first thing in the morning." Running his hand through his hair, Erik gave a yarn. "How ya doing this morning Brookey?"

God, he grated on her nerves more often than not, but even with that, she still enjoyed his company for some unbeknownst reason. All she needed to do was get out of her work clothes and into something more comfortable. "I will gladly get you something when I come out," she called from her room, peeking out the doorway at him. "I just don't trust you to not down half the bottle by the time I'm done. I'm sure you can behave yourself for a glass of nearly three hundred-dollar whiskey, Damon. Just be a good boy."
@blumhouses asked: And don't touch any of my liquor
Damon snorted a laugh as soon as the words left Lilianna's mouth. Of course she knew him well enough to know that yeah, he absolutely would have helped himself to her booze had she not said anything. In fact, he was still considering it. "Ouch, I'm fucking wounded that you wouldn't offer any to me. I shouldn't have to be sneaky about getting a drink." As was typical for his character, he was in a prickly mood. A drink or two would definitely help take the edge off.

It meant a lot to her that someone else saw that she was a good person outside of her two fathers. She felt that Montez was a kindred spirit in that regard, someone that could understand how kindness can be a good thing instead of something to be looked down on. With so much ugliness in the world, she couldn't understand why some people chose to be hateful and unkind when it took more energy to be that way, rather than nice. "Neither does yours, Montez, I appreciate you saying that, really. Seems people are so angry lately that I'm always wondering if maybe I should stop being so nice."
@blumhouses said -> i choose to be kind.
Montez took a moment to look her over, to absorb the words that she had said to him. He, too, found a lot of value in being kind to others, never raising his voice always keeping his head down, working hard for others and putting everyone else before him. "I see that." He said, nodding his head at her with a small approving smile. "It shines through you, all the goodness. Your efforts do not go unnoticed, Isis."

It was easy for Isis to always see good in a person, even when they had proven otherwise. However, Indigo hadn't done anything to sway Isis's opinion of her anyway, and she had been kind to Isis where some just were evil trolls. Worried that she had overstepped somehow with saying that to Indigo, she was about to say something else when the words came out of the other's mouth. "Oh, well, thank you, I would hope that no one thinks that of me." She winced briefly. Did anyone think that about her? She'd never even considered someone had.
@blumhouses said -> i don't think you're a bad person.
Indigo slowly looked over at Isis, contemplating the meaning of the words that hung in the air between them like fruit overripe and too heavy on the vine. She nodded her head, offering a little half smile to the other young woman. "Thanks, I don't think you're a bad person, either."

When someone bothered Graci, she was used to dealing with things herself. The uncomfortable feeling someone else gave her when they tried getting too close and not taking no for an answer was something that she liked taking care of. With Draven, she was still learning to navigate this role of being someone's partner. She hadn't expected him to take care of her little problem before she even had a chance. "Perhaps if I wanted you to handle the problem? You did this and didn't even include me in your decision; you just made it by yourself. I would have liked to be asked if you could, is all."
@blumhouses asked: It's inconsiderate
Draven simply stared at her, his jaw set as he pondered his next move. His instinct was to snap at her and remind her that he didn't give a single fuck about being considerate. But this was his Graci, he couldn't talk to her like that. She wasn't like everyone else, she was above them all and he had to treat her as such. "Okay. What's appropriate in your eyes then?" he asked quietly in response, his voice steady as his irritation stilled - not yet dissipating but certainly not getting worse.

Aspen felt the blush creep up on her cheeks, and she also knew that it would stand out against her pale skin. Damn it. To distract herself, she took her snacks and put them into the pockets of her jacket before taking the drink. She had to think about how she wanted to answer him. "Maybe," she finally settled on, handing the drink back and keeping her eyes straight ahead. "I think it's perfectly natural to be nervous on a first date - even if you know the person."
Gage didn't think her jokes were dumb, it was a part of her personality. Knowing not to take all the jokes to heart. "I do know that." He said as he leaned in slightly as he walked out the door with her. "The little ramblings that you do, they're adorable. But you don't have to be nervous." Gage nodded, handing her snacks and another offer of their drink. "Do I make you nervous?"He asked with a slight tilt of his head. Not in a rude way at all, just curiosity.

"Don't think I didn't catch that little glance over, Sir," she teased, smirking and starting to heat the pan up. She was a decent cook, couldn't do anything fancy but she was able to feed herself and others when she needed to. "Clean up? Your place is basically spotless already, what are you going to clean, Gavin? The possible dust bunnies living under the couch?"
Gavin leaned against the wall watching Poppy go through his kitchen. He was intrigued by how she moved around. Glancing at her up and down until she had asked for plates. Omelettes were one of his few favorites when it came to breakfast foods. "Yeah." Grabbing a couple of plates he had set them on the counter. "I didn't have any plans, really. Maybe groceries and clean up a bit but nothing important really."

It was true, but most of them were from a time when casseroles were huge. During the time they grew up. He didn't mind, though; free meals were great. "Hey, you could like the old-fashioned way. You can text me or just come knock on my door, whatever you prefer to do." At the question about cooking, he nodded. "Mhm, I do. Why? Want me to cook instead of taking you out?"
Its usually the elder who made the best casseroles no doubt. Lorraine finished off her pizza, closing the box but keeping it there in case August wanted more. "Slip you a note?" She chuckled slightly, "I have your number but I could catch you around the building." Sitting back down she looked back at August with curiosity, "Do you cook?"

There was something about the way that he carried himself that Callie enjoyed, which was strange. Normally, she couldn't stand to be around someone for more than an hour tops, and even that was pushing it. "Best things in life aren't easy. Look at us, we've struggled for years to try and break out and we found our thing that works. You should look a little harder into doing it. Maybe do it on the side for now until you make a name for yourself and get some clients. You're not under some contract that you couldn't, are you?" She raised a brow, smirking back at him when she asked to tell him more. "Well, I mean, we do have a lot of undead things on stage with us during songs. It would just be easier to have someone in house to do things rather than hiring someone from each city and nothing be consistent. Just putting it out there."
Zachary could be charismatic, could find it easy to talk to other people depending on the circumstances. He definitely found it enjoyable to converse with Calliope, she was fun and artistic and challenged him in ways that other people didn't. "What an angel." He snarked, laughing lightly as he shook his head before she got close, made her suggestion. He thought about it for a quiet moment then nodded his head, "A good suggestion. Might not be the easiest, it's definitely risky, but I've thought about it before. It's interesting to have someone else put it to words." He didn't know that he had enough faith in himself to do something like that, but if someone else backed him up, he might be able to go through with it. "Touring with you?" He leveled her with another grin, "I think it sounds absolutely fascinating, tell me more."
