Making me pull out my notebook smh.

I need to change the file name in my folder since I have a title now. "Quacks like a Duck" but here's a bit from my notebook:

...In the middle of the room stood a middle aged woman. She was dressed much like Laoshi and was holding a basket. Surrounding her was the most adorable gaggle of ducklings Lishu had ever seen in her life.

So fluffy.

"Ah, is this the new young lady we were supposed to be getting?" the woman asked, unfortunately drawing Lishu's attention away from one of them adorably pecking at their feet.

"Yeah Xianan, this is Lishu. I'd like you to show her the ropes around here." Laoshi gestured to her.

Ah-Duo stepped back and put a hand on her back, gently urging her forward.

"H-hello ma'am, it's nice to meet you," she squeaked out.

"No need to be so formal, I saw you eyeing the ducklings. Come here." Xianan bent over and scooped up the duckling that had been picking at it's feet before beckoning her over.

Hesitantly, Lishu crept closer.

"Hold out your hands."

Lishu cupped her hands in front of her and Xianan gently deposited the duckling into them. Lishu's heart melted at the sight of the fluffy-wuffy little duckling settling into the palm of her hands.

...and then it pooped.

tbh there is a lot in my drafts that go there to die but we'll try anything I've touched in the last uhhh 3 or so months that I can share. all are mass effect/shakarian except for one ml fic that I'm just gonna label so no one asks about anything they don't care about. and some of these are uh. self explanatory.
