It's insane how casually the calls to end a genocide, not just the students in Columbia University but pro Palestinian views in general, are labelled as terrorists. The audacity to still publicly support Israel's actions even after the horrific bombings these last months and then turn around to say that the ones who oppose it are violent anti semites is just baffling
As a wheelchair user I'm trying to reframe my language for "being in the way."
"I'm in the way," "I can't fit," and "I can't go there," is becoming "there's not enough space," "the walkway is too narrow," and "that place isn't accessible."
It's a small change, but to me it feels as if I'm redirecting blame from myself to the people that made these places inaccessible in the first place. I don't want people to just think that they're helping me, I want them to think that they're making up for someone else's wrongdoing. I want them to remember every time I've needed help as something someone else caused.
Maids, cleaners, janitors, and sanitation workers are all the most important people of civilization by far. Even 12 hours without them is VERY noticable and they simply need to be highly compensated for it
If able to, would you rather work 5 days a week and 8 hour shifts; 4 days a week and 8 hour shifts; 3 days a week and 10 hour shifts; 4 days a week and 6 hour shifts; or 5 days a week and 6 hour shifts? Or something else (explain in tags). Assume your paycheck would be the same regardless of how many hours a week you would work.

A reluctant cleric sent on a mission by his goddess. A rogue desperate to save his brother. A ranger lost to the path of vengeance. Plus a handful of allies—should that be the path you choose.
In this heavily dnd inspired interactive fic, David, a half-elf, has been plagued by a series of haunting nightmares, urging him towards the elven hometown he foreswore never to return to. He must traipse through the nearby city in order to return to the hollow he and his ranger sister Sarah were born in.
Where will the story take us next? That is for you to decide!
How it will work:
I will post a scene/part of the story, and at the end of the post, there will be a poll asking how the character you are playing (one day it might be David, another it might be a different character, etc) should respond. Whichever answer receives the most votes determines how that character will act. Sometimes, the poll will direct you to a random number generator, or a dnd dice roller and ask you to “roll” for a check.
These decisions and rolls will affect the story as a whole, and will influence character’s relationships with each other.
I hope to start this sometime in the summer, and there is no definite timeline as to when it will end. I have lots of ideas and am very excited for this!
