Winners are Good and Losers be Evil
It’s glorious to be excellent. Excellence in work ethic and decision quality maximizes changes of success. Success is good or at lease in the eyes of history the winners are always the good guys.

Do We Have Free Will Is Not the Right Question? Do you?
What if free-will requires conditions. In some weird way the universe like to conserve energy and thus some NPCs (non-player characters) are made to fill in.
It seems to me that there are some people with agency that can construct their way into managing their lower-level self’s. Others that follow prepackaged programing such as cultural norms and religion and others that can never overcome this part simply by the lack of one’s ability to possess higher level self.
So, do people have free will? Perhaps some people have some free-will within probabilistically determined outcome based on one’s nature. Some have none. And some can chart their own destiny by working around their own weaknesses of nature and build around it only if God willing, you’re born with extraordinary talent and the stars align on one’s struggle and evolution through nature.

Lead and Follow and Connect the Dots
The brain seems to like reveling something unexpected. It’s a feature of comedy, magic, and many entertainment formats. I often even see this in politics, in business sales presentations, and educational lectures.
This form of leading someone down an obvious path and surprising them with a non-obvious or unpredictable connection seems to delight people.
Big ideas and others are unseen moves that one can make in chess that perhaps requires a few more moves. Maybe we're hardwired to like this- by means of people being able to identify extraordinary intelligence.

Sick Before Recovery or Death and New Life
When you’re sick, when you’re down, when your cup of energy left to the last few drops and it takes much effort just to carry on.
In this delirious state- reflections and inner voice seems to be a nihilistic version of our lower-level self. Quite a loser- a highly critical scrooge, one that see’s little humor in anything, and is cruelly critical towards the hedonistic version of lower-level self past.
Much resentment towards one’s own stumbles as a result of what is only obvious in hindsight.
Don’t entertain and welcome this imposter. He’s perhaps the devil in disguise as your inner voice whispering in your mind to poison your thoughts before you regain your energy or pass on.
Catch yourself- reflect that you’re being incepted inside a dream. Don’t do the devils bidding. Rest and live, and let be.

G-Factor 1000
Being more capable is not evenly distributed. It’s an unlock.
Women can have babies and men can not. That’s an example of an unlock binary capability. They are not marginal advantages. Some of these capabilities compound and thus creating exponential benefits.
One of such capabilities seems to be simultaneously holding conflicting ideas in ones head while thinking about them from multiple perspectives.

Grumpy Old Men
Thought this was behavioral and lazy- from situational mood.
However, this may be due to a root cause of excessive and chronic stressed that causes adrenal fatigue- resulting in a long-term hormonal imbalance that makes people grumpy and extremely irritable.

Careful to let your ego grow- your ego will run away with your wife and then your life. Archegos.

Be a Novice
If you learn quickly and are able to struggle and evolve well. Chances are you tend to find mastery overnight.
There’s something to traveling to a new place, to going outside of your routine, to exploring a new frontier without diminishing returns on effort.
Perhaps the one part of us that can not be replaced can only be exercised and kept well by novelty. By learning new abilities and skills- a new field of intellectual challenge, a new place to not know what you’re doing- to be a fool and experience accelerated progress and drink the elixir of the dunning-Kruger effect.

The Marriage
An Allowance for Chaos
From the ashes rises the phenix. Chaos destroys, disrupts, burns down weeds and tills the soil for new life to take root. Chaos is creative, chaos is emotional, it’s impulsive, it’s a reaction, it’s fleeing.
Much of chaos is responsible for the failures of complex being. Complex groups. Complex systems.
Chaos is exciting, it’s necessary to create new.
After chaos- is a new equilibrium. A blank slate, an open canvas for order. Order is guidance, it’s scaffolds new growth. Order helps protect life from infancy. Order is the hand of God shielding the forces of Nature to give rise to new life and allow it the breathing space to prosper.
The ying-yang of order and chaos dance through time. From song to song, each with a different rhythm.
Be kind life in nature for both order and for chaos.

Fip The F***ing Table on this B
The Ultimatum Game: Is a behavioral econ experiment done in the 60’s.
One player, the proposer, is endowed with a sum of money. The proposer is tasked with splitting it with another player, the responder. Once the proposer communicates his decision, the responder may accept it or reject it. If the responder accepts, the money is split per the proposal; if the responder rejects, both players receive nothing. Both players know in advance the consequences of the responder accepting or rejecting the offer. Source: Wikipedia
In the classic experiment- the participants mostly rejects a split less than 20/80, which is ironic as it’s another one of nature’s Pareto.
However the experiment was not run with different magnitudes of reward scale. I believe in observations using large sums of rewards as a proxy and of rewards at scale--- we can use wages and taxes per benefits as a comparison.
It would be rational if scale of the payouts creates significant marginal utility.... the % share would be closer to classical econ where any additional benefit should be accepted. Thus the equilibrium is not always incorrect as discovered in this study.
So perhaps the equilibrium of the reward %split also diminishes as the total sum is grown in orders of magnitude until some indistinguishable hurdle is achieved.
Taxes are also a great example of this give and take moving equilibrium- albeit in the inverse.
Financial freedom is one of such hurdles today for many in capitalistic society. Much of the American dream is optionality of one’s ambitions on financial success and glory.
So disrupting the hope or perceived ability can pierce the illusion and allow the rational focus become more myopic- where by the participant will rather not play than get a share that is <=20%.
Or put another words- expectations or hope itself can be discounted to achieve a different outcome of the Ultimatum Game.

The Toughest Negotiation
…. Is with oneself. Daily. Between the lower-level-self (LLS) and the executive function (EF).
While the LLS wants to indulge in immediate gratification- the executive function limits this to allow for long term goal attainment. One is impulsive and one is strong. The ice-cream now or the ideal body composition 1 year from now?
The daily negotiation of the two is a duality that must come to a compromised consensus for one to reach personal integrity.
It’s a negotiation- why? Well, the LLS does not like to endlessly lose. Perhaps that’s a form of suffering that is worst than two bodies of master and slave- it’s an unjust and takes the color and flavor out of life.
What is that percentage does LLS need to win to optimize for EF? Don’t know. Perhaps like many of nature’s other Pareto’s it’s something like 20%.
Be patient when negotiating with your LLS as if talking to small child.
Life is hard. Be kind to yourself.
