you ever realize that for two season + a movie diane has no face or even a voice and that her name is pretty similar to diary. do you ever realize that cooper, somehow, didnt even know her last name for 10 years.

𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐎𝐍𝐄'𝐒 𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐆. . . for Annie.
you don't have to tell me, if you don't want to.
Annie gives a thin smile, little more than a reactionary expression, as she slides her hand back towards her side, wrist hidden against her body. It wasn't as if her history wasn't visible on her own flesh, raised skin, the body's remarkable desire to heal. To live. Sometimes, even, against its own wishes. A permanent reminder of times long wished to be forgotten. @buckstops wouldn't be the first to notice. He'd never be the last. Too would he not be the first to question, to wonder. To give her a look of concern. Some to give her a look of disgust. She'd seen that plenty. From doctors, nurses. From her fellow nuns. Pray for her.
Sometimes, she didn't know which was worse.
" It's not a fun story, " She keeps her voice casual, unperturbed. Almost as if she's talking about the weather being a downpour instead of clear skies. She'd done this song and dance before and it lost its sting long ago. Everyone would notice, in time. Everyone would wonder. Annie had accepted that fact long ago, too.
" Definitely not something you want to hear about, " She urges. It wasn't ever a topic for polite conversation.

𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐎𝐍𝐄'𝐒 𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐆. . . for Lucy.
i'll take the blame for this
" Oh, no, Sheriff Truman ! " Lucy attempts to keep her voice at a whisper, as if the two of them were discussing a plan for a crime they were planning to commit... Well, actually, lying could be a crime, sometimes, but Lucy wasn't about to start down on such a dark path. Regardless, she seemed perfectly content on a cover up and, perhaps, tampering with a crime scene. She stands next to @buckstops , the door to their makeshift coffee station closed behind them to block out any unwanted attention. Before the two of them is a broken coffee maker, its pot cracked and almost shattered at their feet. Somehow in her attempts to clean the machine and pour a new batch of coffee, she managed to knock the entire thing over. Her stomach twisted up in knots just looking at it. She knew how much the boys at the station loved their coffee - and she loved making sure they had it! It was the least she could do, outside of getting them a large assortment of donuts each night as both a way to recharge from their work and as a reward for all they did. She pries her eyes from the murder scene, " I can't let you do that. It was my fault. I need to be the one to pay for the crime. "

Lucy chews at her bottom lip, her fingers splayed against each other, twisting around each other in a physical display of minor nerves. A comment huffed out in slight agitation at the thought that, once again, her words would fall upon DEAF EARS. Some may consider her air headed, oblivious, long winded and not all there - and she wasn't ignorant of these facts. Far too many times had calls gone south or visitors to the station took out their first round of anger out on her as she tried to help them or, even worse, they looked at her with some form of pity. Like the poor girl hit her head one too many times and couldn't even be trusted to man the phones.
She tried to stay positive, but even she would think enough is enough. She's trying! That had to count, right?
" I'm just so- so sick of nobody listening to me, " She hadn't really meant to turn this into a whole thing. She wasn't particularly a fan of hiding her emotions ( it was always obvious when Lucy was upset with someone ), but she didn't exactly mean to take them out on Harry either. " I always listen to everyone's phone calls every day when I sit at the reception desk and I always listen when people come in and need to tell me about all their problems so I can help them, but no one ever listens to me either, " She sounded more exasperated than anything else, the end result of days worth of stress.
" I'm good at my job!.. Aren't I? "

what i enjoy about twin peaks - the town - is that it is just a small little town. not entirely forgotten (think buckhorn) and definitely has some more... life to it. the great northern lodge, the mill, a relatively fancy apartment store. it looks nice on the surface. the trees, the wildlife. the hunting and fishing. everyone knows each other. but it's not. the town is inherently a bad place. drugs. sex. murders. the town itself almost has a corrupting influence on people that stay inside for too long and the only real solution is to leave. it's so perfect on the surface but underneath it's this swirling vortex of grief.
