#art#traditional art#watercolour#embroidery thread#oc art#ocs#oc group: unsorted#oc: unnamed#i gotta name him. my guy whos secretly a school of fish pretending to be human#this was another study i made for class along with a few other doodles of this guy. then i got kinda roasted by my TAs lol#wasnt their fault i think they were just tired and stressed. plus theyre like the same age as me. i know what its like being 25 LOL#it did discourage me a lot in the moment because despite the everything about me thats probably apparent both through my blog and irl#i keep my art passions really REALLY closed off irl LOL so at the time i was like just barely stepping my toe out and showing my truth:#that all i do all day is draw dorky oc stuff HDKJSDS i did kinda immediately get called cringe in all but the actual word orz#it was a bummer but i think i feel better about it now. especially because again my TAs are the same age as me or younger than me#and im not gonna let a 25 year old calling me cringe get me in my head HKFSKJFDSd plus again i think they were just stressed and in a mood#because other times theyve been chill even when giving a harsh critiques so it mightve just been like. something in the air#but you know. isnt that a bit of a milestone in its own right. being called cringe in your fine arts class critique <3#but i still like my funny guy from my dream. hes just a normal ass looking guy. who is made of fish :)

OH i forgot i drew this but heres a doodle of that one character i made in like. that love live character generator i made in like my first year of university. i forgot where it is. its out there somewhere LOL
#art#traditional art#watercolour#oc art#ocs#oc group: unsorted#oc: unnamed#i like her. shes very cute#someday ive thought about remaking that generator. i never finished as much as i wanted to because 1) i was using picrew#which is a great lightweight infrastructure for a user but for the artist takes FOREVER if u like lots of colours and parts (like meee)#and 2) i for some ungodly reason tried to mimic the project/sunshine art style. despite that being like the opposite of the way i draw LOL#careful linework and neat colouring and glossy shading. it was a lot on my hands orz#but i did always wanna put in the hairstyles for every girl + some other stuff like curly hairs and such#but i only got through like u's and passed out and died. maybe i should remake it tho#simpler art and maybe i can find someone to help with colouring since digital colouring kills me#and then i could finally put all the hairstyles i wanted to....maybe someday.....

the shipping situation in vocal synth fanbases can be so funny sometimes since most commercial voicebanks (even ones with mascot characters) don't have much "canon" to begin with (and most are meant to be messed with for different songs anyway) so seeing what commonalities people latch on to in order to create a relationship can be interesting. ive seen at least 5 people start shipping asterian and frimomen because they're both bass vocals who are a bit beefy
#well frimomens much beefier than asterian (asterians more like just slightly built) but both got more going on than like#ur average stick-like bishonen vsynth LOL so i get it. i also think the ship has. potential. im considering it. im considering.#gorgeous glowing moon god + some kind of weird freak. the bride and her ugly ass groom etc etc#considering it...................................considering it..........................

im still holding on to that pipe dream that all current love live groups will someday cover sunny day song all together. and holding out hope that they'll also release solo versions of it for every single girl. the fanmixes will be legendary..................................................

I WANT to get my ears pierced so bad so i can fulfill my childhood dream of wearing the largest hoops known to man all the time forever BUT i literally can never find a good time to do it because i have a million allergies so spring and fall my eczema on my ears are always going nuts and then in the winter its dry as hell so my eczema also goes nuts and then in the summer its really hot so my ears are sweaty and then my eczema goes nuts again. i cant catch a break orz
#my mother has some really REALLY severe metel allergies. i dont but i always wanna keep that in mind too orz#so i gotta really make sure whatever piercing place i go to has like really hypoallergenic metals just in case#but literally i was looking at. a character i like who has his gay little ear pierced and i was like I WANT MY GAY LITTLE EAR PIERCED TOO#auuhhhh....i dream forever....forever i dream......

and you know i dont know much about project sekai (it does not run on my phone <3 ) but i will say im glad it exists if not just because of how good some of the commissioned songs have been. lower obvs is great (jesus judas yuri FOREVERRRRR) love salamander and identity is fun and dear GOD stella is so good its UNREAL

vocal synth from a pure hobbyist perspective is really funny particularly if you also do art. like hee hee i will make a little amateur cover of a tune i like. hee hee maybe i should draw a little picture with the vocal synth mascot to fit with my little cover. and then u think like oh hee hee hee maybe i should put a couple other vocal synth mascots in the drawing too. and next thing you know you're nailing that cartoon character to the cross. that cartoon character died for our sins

one thing about me and my vocal synth covering adventures im learning is that there is nothing i hate more on this earth than having to pitch down a song to a different key to fit a different voicebanks range better. if i cant drop it a full octave down or two and have it work i am going to run deep into the woods never to be seen again
#i dont like pitching instrumentals down!!!!! its hard to do without it sounding weird!!!!!!#i also probably wouldnt like doing it up but i dont think ive really had a reason to most of the time#i tend to use mid-to-low range voices more often than not and i like a lot of high pitched songs LOL#but either way. if i cant just put it up or down 12 semitones i scream and cry and throw up and explode HJKDSJKFD

#literally i just got a new cd in (naomi paytons third single cosmo notes! its really good!) and like ive become a bit of a cd collector#theyre smaller than vinyl and i like being able to rip the CD for backup along with making mp3s for my phone#and i also like the art and all the little booklets! i really love cd cover art. it would be my dream someday to illustrate some album art#for some music project or something like thats been a bit of one of my dreams for a few years LOL#and while i was looking up stuff about the philips cdi format for a class project once i learned about the CD+G format#and i felt so much anguish. knowing that its no longer a thing HKJDSHds#I KNOW it was barely used BUT LISTEN....SECRET IMAGES#there are SECRET IMAGES in the cd!!! they have lyrics and simple animations!!! secret images!!!!!!!!!!!!!#really awesome. i think its neat. when you follow me you will occasionally get a post that is something neat i want to talk about#the fun fact posts about weird media! im a visual culture student this is what i do <3#Youtube
