More pictures from the clinic. I'm of course one of the few people wearing a helmet at a western clinic😂 I also ran into a horse I knew 13 years ago. He looks so good & this family absolutely loves him! It was so fun to see him again💜

Whiskey and I participated in our first clinic together yesterday. She was anxious on the trailer, which when its cooler we will start to haul her all over the place so she gets used to it. I feel like when we take her off property is when she tends to show her age and lack of experience. Shes an EXTREMELY confident 5 year old in so many aspects that I think I forget she does have limited miles and shes still young. My western trainer was the one doing the clinic so she worked with her some on the ground and then popped on her in under saddle. No real naughty behavior. When I first sat on her I felt she was close to having a small explosion but it could've been my anxiety. But my trainer got on her and gave her a good solid ride and overall she was good! Seemed tired to me watching her but its so hot in Florida and this mare does not appreciate the heat. Then I was able to ride her and actually had a really good ride. We have grown so much as a team so it was cool to see in a new environment. We kind of knew she didn't appreciate traffic in the ring but this ring being so narrow really showcased it. We will have to devise a plan to get her more comfortable with horses going near her because she is a really good mover and it would be a shame to not place higher in rail/flat classes because shes too busy trying to beat up the competition😂

Whiskey has officially built so much top line she grew right out of the saddle I bought that fits me way better🥲 Thankfully i've been dragging my feet to sell the other saddle I have, too small seat/too deep of a seat, but a wide tree. Fits her WAY better and she was much happier so I will suffer until I can find a saddle that fits us both lol
