teddy nodded, getting a little hype himself. what to do first ? drink ? dance ? do a lap and say hi to the people he knows ? the possibilities are endless and of course he can’t forget the girl next to him.  ‘ oh ? you should show me some of your sketches later — you know i live for that stuff ! that sounds like a very chill day, the perfect charge for a fun-filled night. ’  he matched her smile, an extra pep in his step,  ‘ it’s no problem ! i was planning on going anyway and the more the merrier. ’

         bright smiles on the girl’s face at the idea of what the pair could do together -- it wasn’t very often that she and teddy spent time together but whenever they did it was all one big party , feeling effortlessly comfortable in the boy’s presence . ‘  yeah , of course ! i don’t know why i didn’t think of that earlier . the perfect lazy day to charge up some energy for a good party . it’s been so long since i got drunk , i genuinely cannot wait to just drink and dance . ’

 It wasn’t often Perri found himself like this, apart of large group of people he didn’t really know, and drinking, no less. This was the dark haired male’s scene between the ages of fourteen and twenty, but as he grew into his legal years (and into his anxiety) he quickly became bored of spending his time intoxicated in a sea of people he really couldn’t give a shit about. But he figured a night out couldn’t hurt when a friend of a friend of a guy he met in jail invited him over. Maybe it was time for him to venture out and try to meet some new people? No one except Perri knew how awfully lonely he’d been feeling as of late. Taking a sip from his beer bottle, the male could have sworn he saw he image of someone stupidly familiar flash by his peripheral, but as he turned to try and locate where the figure, there was no one to be seen. Figuring it was the few drinks in his system, he shrugged it off and continued to only half listen to the conversation he was pretending to be involved in.@bombinates​

         hyoyeon couldn’t even remember the last time she had found herself at a party , schedule far too busy for her to find a moment like this to relax and have a good time . she had no idea how she ended up being invited , almost every face she spotted in the crowd a complete stranger -- almost . it had taken her about five minutes since entering the party to spot the male , causing an almost immediate ache in her chest . however it had taken her at least four shots of tequila , a malibu coke and a good hour and a half before she had found herself in a place where she was intoxicated enough to actually build up the nerve to talk to him . her entire body felt like it was burning , with anxiety , with anger , with sadness -- their situation so unresolved she didn’t know how to feel . ‘  perri !   ’ the girl feigned suprise , ‘  what a surprise to see you here , alive and doing well ! your hands look like they’re still functioning , which is weird considering you didn’t text me back for months ?  ’

    “ hereditary … “ lennon repeated, acting as if her attendance for the night wasn’t set in stone. as if she was still contemplating the pro’s and con’s of the situation. as if she wouldn’t follow hyoyeon to the ends of the earth, if only she asked. “ okay. “ the single word reply hung between them as baggy jeans fell to the floor. fingernails bit down to their core, her fingers even flipped her phone upside down on the night stand, phone already on do not disturb from their intimate activities before.

    “ i guess my friends and their shenanigans can fuck off, because i got the prettiest girl right here for me. “ kneeling on the bed, lennon had a thought, which was instantly lost. how could she ever focus with an image like that in front of her ? hair messy, cheeks red, mascara smudged. hyoyeon looked the most beautiful after she was all fucked out, after lennon had their way with her. and it was definitely distracting. the blonde tasted like strawberry shortcake and liquid sunsets, stars in her eyes and honey in her voice. and it was all part of her beauty: impossible, stubborn, dreamlike.

    “ do you have any snacks ? or soda ? “ lennon offered, but she climbed on the bed, close to hyoyeon to press raw, soft lips to hers. “ or popcorn ? “ another kiss. “ or candy ? “ and another. “ or we can just make out again all night ? “ with another, final ( for the moment ) kiss, she exhaled an airy laugh, cute teeth and eye smile showing in a way she always hated.

        a hopeful look was displayed on hyo’s face , she wanted more than anything for lennon to stay , to give her the attention she so desperately craved . their situation was weird , always stuck somewhere between a hookup and something more . the girl had no idea what it was she actually expected of the situation , knowing lennon well enough to know that an actual relationship was out of the question . eyes sparkling the second the words left the other’s mouth , ‘  thank you !  ’ it was silly really , feeling the need to thank lennon for the small gesture they were  showing - but thanking lennon after pleasing her was a habit stuck deeper than she realised .

       cheeks heating up at the other’s comments , probably only adding to her complete flushed and blissed out look . it was as if it took lennon minimal effort to affect hyoyeon to the point of shaking knees and goosebumps , but that could have been an after effect of their previous activities . ‘  of course, and if i didn’t lottie probably has some cookies baked  ’ the words hadn’t even left her mouth yet before her eyes widened , pleasantly surprised by lennon’s soft kisses . her stomach ached with how domestic the blonde was acting . if she could live in this exact moment for the rest of her life , she would . soft kisses to raw bitten lips , subtle touches on honey golden skin -- it were moments like this that reminded her why she was so desperately hung up on the other. 

      '  i don’t think i’d be opposed to just making out the rest of the night . ’ tongue darting out to lick her lips , completely captivated by the way lennon looked positively ethereal . ‘  if you actually want those snacks you’re going to have to get them yourself , you did that thing that makes my legs lose their function . ’

    ‘ then don’t go, ‘ the words stuck to lennon’s ears, front teeth biting down on the inside of her lip. because she was supposed to go out with friends. tentatively, sure, but a large piece of her, afraid and buried, pulled away at the thought of cuddling up with a scary movie in bed and finishing with a round. it felt so … domestic. so sweet and soft, just like hyoyeon and her small voice that cooed up at lennon. there was a voice in their head, yelling, to go, leave, don’t bother. it was a waste of time, right ? why sit and watch a movie when the whole of los angeles is at their fingertips ? but yet, there she stayed, sitting back down on the bed, legs comfortably hanging off.

    “ your roommates don’t wanna watch it ? “ she laughed, eyes searching the floor for her shirt which was nowhere to be found. “ but … horror and sex. you know the way to my heart. sounds more like you want me to stay than you wanna watch the movie. “ clicking her tongue, she realized she wasn’t leaving that apartment. at least not anytime soon. “ okay,fine. what movie ? “ and she was up again, searching for her baggy black t shirt … which she found, and abruptly pulled over her head. “ and can i borrow shorts ? or i can just gopantless, but these fucking jeans aren’t gonna cut it. “

    they wanted to act indifferent. as if they weren’t nervous about the actual intimacy of it all. but tracking through lennon’s memories, there were few instances, of recent, of just hanging out with a girl. a girl they were into. and they continued to tell themselves, it’s just a movie.

          part of the girl felt selfish for asking, wanting to indulge in her own little fantasy that maybe one day she would be able to get someone like lennon tied down. monogamy wasn’t even what she was looking for, she had done open relationships before and it was something she had always been okay with - content with the situation as long as she was getting the affection and attention she needed. -- but with lennon she needed more, an affirmation perhaps that the other girl cared for her in the way hyoyeon did. but the girl knew very well that that probably was not going to happen any time soon.

            a soft giggle left hyoyeon’s lips as she replied to the other. ‘ have you met my roommates ? ’ just the thought of watching a horror movie with either of them gave her the chuckles. ‘ now you’re just hearing what you want to hear i think. ’ the words came out as sure as she could, trying to hold in any waver  she could - not wanting to admit they were in fact speaking the truth. ‘ hereditary , i’ve heard it was so scary people in the movie theaters actually threw up watching it. ’

              blinking a few times before processing their words hyoyeon saw a perfect opportunity to work her plan of keeping lennon in her presence for as long as she could. ‘ you can go pantless , i quite like the idea of having easy access. ’

‘ it’s only a little bit further, ’  teddy tells her, lowering his phone to his side after checking google maps for the umpteenth time. they were already in the suburban housing area of this particular university area, the cars lining up the block an indicator of a party near by. if he were to be honest  ( which he tries his best to be )  it had been a while since he’d also been to a good ol’ fashion college party – let along a frat party – but one of the guys in his intro to finance class passed along an invite and who was he to say no. he only hopes it was alright to bring hyo — if anything the two of them could just sweet talk their way in. he turns to her again,  ‘ so ! did you really just stay at the brew all day ? you didn’t go to the beach or go shopping or stay home ? ’

            butterflies racing through her stomach , the girl felt more nervous than she usually would have for situations like this. it’s just that she had genuinely not been to a party in a really long time -- too busy with her jobs to find a time and place to breathe and have fun. the street looked busy and you could already hear the sound of the party a few houses below. hyoyeon had no idea what to expect but she was excited, especially to be here with teddy - it made her feel safe. ‘  no i was at the brew most of the day ! just did some people watching and drawing, it was nice - not nearly as boring as i make it sound. just very relaxing to be honest.  ’ a soft, sincere smile on her lips. ‘  thank you for inviting me to go with you, i’m really excited.  ’

    chest heaving up and down, defiant against lennon’s best wishes, sporty bralette had already covered her chest, and as she yanked up soft fabric over her waist, she sighed. she had already turned to meet hyoyeon’s gaze, and fuck, was it a gaze. the way messy hairclinged behind her ears and the sleepy gloss over her entire body … hyoyeon was stunning. and she knew it. and lennon knew it, too. all too well. because while lennon rarely knew many of the booty calls in her life, this was different. and it freaked the shit out of her.

    “ well, i do know i don’t have to do anything. ever. “ leaning against the plush mattress, a laugh exhaled from her lips before she searched for her outer layer of clothing. a moment later, a black, baggy shirt covered her head then her torso, begging to reach her knees but falling just short. fingers did … something, with her hair, absolutely messing the short bob more than it had been already. “ i mean, when you look at me like that, it makes it hard to go. “

    it was half joke, half serious. a party was calling lennon’s name, summoning her that night, and she half expected hyoyeon to welcome her departure. but she didn’t … and so this put the girl into a weird spot. digging her phone out of her jeans pocket, she saw so manymessages, littered with a few missed calls. some from friends, some from other girls. but she only skimmed them for a second before leaning her upper body over the other’s. “ why ?you already want another round ? “ she teased, hand on either side of hyo’s head. “ i don’t think your legs can take any more, baby. you look tired. “

        the girl identified herself with sunshine, she wanted to be and shine the brightest she could - she wanted to be an influx of positivity and happiness, but there were things even hyoyeon hid from herself. it wasn’t that she was affraid of commitment - it was more that she was scared of the unknown. though everything but cold, the blonde had always been very good at seperating sex from feelings, something crucial in her line of work, but for some reason with lennon it seemed impossible for her to do so. it wasn’t often this happened - but she wanted more than anything for lennon to stay.

         a small smirk tugged at her lips because it sounded almost as if the other girl had a soft spot for her, or perhaps she was just seeing and hearing what she wanted to hear. ‘ then don’t go. ’ leaning on her elbows the girl popped up slightly, thin sheets all that separated her from the cold air hanging in the room. she must look like a mess, she generally did when lennon had paid her visit - but she hoped it wouldn’t make a difference in the way lennon looked at her.

           ‘ try me. ’ she knew damn well that the other was right and that there was little to no possibility she would be able to muster up the energy for another round. ‘ okay maybe you’re right -- ’ pausing hyoyeon contemplated finishing her sentence, not wanting to push too hard and scare the girl, but what did she have to lose ? ‘ i’ve been wanting to watch this horror movie for days, but i’m too scared to watch it alone. ’ slight pout showing in the hopes of persuading the girl, ‘ and you know by the time it’s finished i’ll have enough energy for round four. ’
