“BOMBS” a custom midi fighter inspired arcade controller outta MADURAI (INDIA) & My first tumbler post!
Well, a couple months ago I decided to make a Custom Arcade button midi controller. Took me a while to source the materials and plan out the Enclosure and design but the biggest issue was figuring out the Code since I wanted CCmode as well as Note Mode. Took me a while to write most of the C++ code but there were bugs still, surprisingly I met another hobbyist programmer who helped me out!
The controller comes with two modes Note and CC (Changed by a toggle switch). The CC mode allows you to map 16 buttons to whichever function you like inside your DAW of preference and the Note Mode has access to 4 octaves (navigated by the Knob) and also has a special ability to stack notes from different octaves allowing to create lush chords which also can be used as a sustain function. The Arcade buttons have great tactile feedback with extremely low latency enabling tight playing of any VST or Stock Instrument for live or studio scenarios. Bombs can also be mapped to use with Traktor or Serato to dj with. BOMBS is also a highly customizable MIDI device making every device it's own by customizing the Colours of the buttons, Lazer etching side panels with designs or Messages, Lazer Etching the artist logo on the backplate and adding a backlight to add a little pop of colour! Building the custom controller is a very artist involved process from designing to customizing.
oh and when you buy you get access to a vast variety of mappings for a lot of popular softwares !
