I don’t know who needs to hear this but Wille not having a plethora of hobbies doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a personality. It just means he’s a teenager who goes to school, does his homework, and hangs out with his friends/boyfriend in his free time. He used to play a sport but then he quit because he decided he doesn’t want to do it anymore. He tried out the choir but realized it wasn’t for him. All of this is like peak normal teenager. It doesn’t mean he’s not an interesting person. Not having a bunch of interests/hobbies doesn’t mean that he’s not funny, smart, kind, loyal, wtv.

“Remember that club in Stockholm?” Simon’s heart started beating more quickly as he dredged up the memories of that night. “When you disappeared all night?” Nodding, he lifted the mug to his lips to hide his face a little. “Am I about to finally find out where you were?” Lowering the mug, he swallowed and nodded again. He took a deep breath before letting the words out in a rush. “I was in Wilhelm’s hotel suite” Holding his breath, he waited for Sara’s reaction. Her eyes widened. “Wilhelm as in…?” “Yeah,” said Simon, nervously fidgeting with his mug. “That Wilhelm.” “Jesus Christ, Simon,” she said, an incredulous shake to her head. “Why?” And wasn’t that the million dollar question.

Both Simon and Wille try to get over it.

What was your favorite thing about the YR ending and Wilmon's reunion? What is it about Wilmon that makes them so special?

Ohhh this is such a good question. My favorite thing about the ending was how cathartic it was. People say that it's cheesy but I don't see it like that at all. Life is not a single string of misery, and as much as Wilhelm and Simon parting ways made sense with the story, their reunion felt like a celebration of the spark that made us all root for them since the beginning. They don't have to contemplate the what-ifs of their togetherness anymore. Tragedies stick with us more because it feels raw and real and honest. But sometimes, joy and bliss can be just as raw and real and honest, and the ending felt exactly like that.

I think what truly makes Wilhelm and Simon's love special is how their love for each other pushes them to love themselves more. Simon gets strength from Wille's love to walk away from the things that hurt him, even if it means jeopardizing their togetherness at times. Wille reevaluates his life and his choices because Simon's love gives him the strength to walk away from the things that hurt him as well. Their love itself is not a weakness that brings them down at all, it's a force that leads to the better for them.

Gonna indulge myself a bit here, because there's so much more to animation than just Ghibli or Disney! ✨

The most obvious answer for Sara would be Spirit, because horse 😂 But I also think she would love Song of the Sea. It's about a sibling duo processing the loss of their mother, and is based on Irish folklore. Gorgeous film! (You should check it out!!)

Simon probably saw Into the Spider-verse with Ayub and Rosh and thought it was the coolest film they'd ever seen. I can also see him as a massive Ghibi/Anime fan. Spirited Away probably topping that list. But then it also wouldn't surprise me if he and Ayub have a lot of inside jokes about Shrek because of memes lol

Felice for sure has a guilty pleasure of watching Renaissance era Disney films. The Little Mermaid, Lion King, Mulan, all the classics! I bet you she's like me and loves to sing along to the musicals and knows all the lyrics by heart haha.

I doubt Wille, or anyone else in that family ever enjoyed watching Disney Princess films. I feel like he might have inherited some nostalgia for older films from his parents. 101 Dalmatians and similar films around that era is as far as he'll go for Disney. Maybe he would like stop-motion? Coraline or Isle of Dogs could be up there for him!

one of my other fic ideas that I’ve been daydreaming about for literal years is an older exes!Wilmon in a friends with benefits situation where they’re sleeping together while dating other people with the promise that they’ll break it off when one of them does find someone they want to be with. Queue Simon forcing himself into pretending that he likes someone enough to finally break it off with Wille (his friends & family have been screaming at him to do so for months) - except the night that he chooses to bring up the issue, Wille is a little bit drunk and the truth comes pouring out: Wille’s been lying about going on dates, he’s only seeing Simon

Trivial question but: what’s Simon’s and Wille’s preferred snack for a movie night? 🍿🍫

Simon believes that there should not be anything natural or unprocessed at a movie night. Snacks should be beige or brown or artificially colored. We're talking chips, cookies, six different kinds of candy. The first time Wille attends a movie night with the Erikssons, Rosh, and Ayub, he gets thoroughly heckled for bringing a container of pomegranate arils. Rosh makes him put it outside on the front stoop until the evening is over. Wille doesn't have strong movie snack preferences, but sometimes when he wants to make a thoughtful but low key date night for Simon, he'll put together a spread of snacks and drinks themed to the movie they're watching. They also like going to the movie theater so they can taste the popcorn butter on each other's tongues 🤭
