a disorder cannot abuse you.
it’s that simple.
no long explanation needed, just basic logic.
you cannot assign abuse to a specific mental illness (i.e. narc abuse) because a disorder can’t be held accountable, especially since no disorder has ‘being abusive’ as a symptom on the diagnostic criteria.

[ID: a cartoony drawn picture of a boy, labeled "me with BID", standing at a forking path. The path on the left leads to a bright, sunshine-filled hill with a dark castle edited in. The castle is labeled "staying able-bodied and dysphoric". The right path leads to a dark hill where the sky is clouded and lightning shoots down to a bright and shining castle that has been edited in. The castle is labeled "accomplishing my need but have a harder life" /End ID]

Friendly reminder that your mental illness acceptance is not true acceptance if it ends when someone has
- narcissistic personality disorder
- factious disorder
- Body integrity identity disorder
-Substance abuse disorder
-Antisocial personality disorder
-Schizospec disorders
You can’t pick and choose which mentally ill people are worthy of your acceptance and support. That’s just ableist.

As someone with an undiagnosed disability (99% sure its fibromyalgia) that I've had since I was a little kid, I've never understood why adults feel the need to enter the Pain Olympics whenever a kid says they're in pain.
I cannot tell you how many times an adult told me over the years that "you're too young to be in that kind of pain" or the classic "wait until you're my age", insinuating that I was a little bitch who could never grasp what true pain really is.
Just yesterday I was in class and a guy near me mentioned that his back hurt, which our teacher heard and said "you're too young, just wait until your 50s, then it'll really hurt", and I hear this guy very quietly say that he has scoliosis.
It's so annoying. Why do you need to win the Pain Olympics? Why do you need to prove to a child that your life is harder than theirs? This is the reason I didn't know I had chronic pain until I was 16

I saw a tiktok today where somebody was saying that DID fakers will talk a lot about their source and being an introject, whilst ‘real systems’ will avoid the topic and I think that’s bullshit.
People all react to and treat things differently, and that applies to us who just happen to be introjects too.
Idk man, I didn’t choose to exist. But I do. So I might as well try and have fun yknow? I just want to be happy too. Might as well embrace the situation im in.
I guess in some ways I’m proud to be an introject. I’m proud that I help to heal us all from our traumas. My existence isn’t easy, but I go on regardless, and I’m proud of that.

Being inclusive to autistics as an autistic is recognising and accepting that we all have conflicting wants or needs.
You may hate bright lights but another autistic may love them.
You may hate being in crowds but another autistic might love that.
You may hate tags on your shirt but another autistic may actually like having tags on their shirt.
You may love bland foods but another autistic may love rich or extreme flavours.
You may love infodumping to people but it may be too overwhelming for another autistic.
A spectrum includes all ends of extremes. And all of it deserves to be accepted and accommodated for.

“Don’t infantilize autism” should be used when people who aren’t autistic treat autistic adults like children.
It should not be said when people who are actually autistic have “childish” interests or stuffed animals and such. Autistic adults are allowed to find comfort and express their autism in ways that works for them (without causing harm), even other autistic people don’t get to tell them not to enjoy those things just because they dislike stereotypes or don’t want themselves to be infantilized.
You can’t tell someone else their life should be breaking a stereotype you dislike. That’s not up to you.

Being chronically ill is like
“It’s fine”
“It’s fine”
“It’s fine”
*complete mental breakdown because you can’t do this anymore*

you really can reach a point with transgender enlightenment wherein you can attribute any bodily feature silhouette and detail to any gender regardless of typical cisgender aesthetic connotations. anything can be a man's body if the person in it is a man. anything can be a woman's body if the person in it is a woman. anything can be a genderless body if the person in it is genderless. and so on. the only thing that matters is the personhood within and whether you are willing to look and know and see it. open your eyes. keep trying until you no longer flinch or turn away in shame or anger or confusion.
