New Legacy!
Background Info:
Madison is an only child who was raised in Henford-on-Bagley. At thirteen she had to suddenly move to San Sequoia when her mom was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. She began finding herself constantly painting. During her freshman year her art teacher (Beth Winter) recognized her aspiring talent and mentored her. Through her freshman year they became very close and Madison began to view Beth as a grandmother figure. Madison went to Beth for everything big or small. During sophomore year she was introduced to Beths grandson Caiden. They soon became inseparable. He helped Madison with her paintings while she helped him with his songs. At the end of Junior year they fell apart and stopped talking. Madison continued to pursue her talent for art and is now attending University of Britechester majoring in Art History. On the weekends she works as a ski coach to help her dad with her moms treatment costs. Everything seems to be smooth sailing but only time can tell.

Late March 1927, Edinburgh Scotland
It wasn’t the life Samira’s parents wanted for her. She was supposed to marry a man like her father, one who could help run the company she would inherit. Yet, here she was, in a small house in Scotland, making dinner for herself and a man she was not married to. Her parents liked Montgomery when she’d brought him to India—though secretly, her father had implied that while she would still inherit plenty of money upon his death if she married Montgomery, her male cousins would get the company, not she.
She didn’t know what was worse, the threat of being cut out from the business her family had worked decades for or the fact she didn’t care if her cousins got everything. Samira supposed that was what love did to someone. She was willing to live in a completely different country, where accents were difficult to understand, and the food was atrocious because she loved Montgomery. Of course, Scots were much kinder to her than most English—perhaps it was over a shared bond of being ruled over by a bunch of culture-lacking idiots, or how Montgomery and his sister Elspeth called them when their English friends weren’t around, numpty cunts.
She tried to spend her free time with the local Indian community in Edinburgh, but most days she was alone in their house while Montgomery treated the poor. She didn’t have siblings or female cousins, so she had grown up mostly alone. It didn’t bother her.
Some days Samira spent hours staring at the photographs of Montgomery and Edeline. When they had moved in, Montgomery set those aside, knowing it was inappropriate to have all those photos of his former wife, but she had insisted on hanging them. She thought it cruel to leave her in a dark corner, gathering dust. She was not jealous of the woman her lover had married years ago. She knew how deeply he felt for her—the quiet weeping in the late of the night he thought she did not hear when it was their wedding anniversary or her birthday and day of death. Samira knew she was loved by him, and therefore found it pointless to deny the presence of Edeline’s ghost.
The door opened, and the Scotsman walked in with a smile on his face—most days he came home upset, groaning over the sick people he couldn’t help.
Samira welcomed the change of emotions as she kissed to greet him. “You’re in a good mood.”
He nodded. “Aye. Today’s a good day.”
“And why’s that?”
He shrugged nonchalantly. “I dinna ken. Just is.”
During dinner, Montgomery talked her ear off, telling her a humorous thing that had happened at the hospital where he worked. It was the happiest he’d looked in some time, and Samira was sure there was a reason behind his mood. It was nefarious to think so, but for someone who’d dealt with bouts of melancholia often, being this happy meant there was a force behind it.
In the evening, after they’d gotten ready for bed, Montgomery played an old classical song on their phonograph, twirling her into a waltz. While she had learned Western dances for fast-paced jazz such as the Foxtrot and Charleston, she’d never learn how to properly waltz—at Byron and Eleora’s wedding, she’d spent most of the slow dances drinking until proper jazz began to play. Montgomery led them slowly as she tried to clumsily follow along, praying she wouldn’t step on his toes.
“Ya make me wanna do this every night,” he claimed, his blue eyes unfocused without his glasses.
“Step on your toes while I try not to make a fool of myself?”
He chuckled. “No. Just… bein’ with ya. Together.”
Samira stepped away from him and crossed her arms. “What are you plotting?”
“What’d ya mean?”
“I know you’re up to something.”
At this, he paused before slowly nodding. “Aye, ya’ve got me there, darlin’.”
He walked toward the nightstand on his side of the bed, putting on his glasses and opening the drawer to fetch something. “I’d like to see ya when I do this.”
“Do what?”
He smiled, turning around, and she quickly realized he was holding a small box. “I think… I’m ready. To move on. I fuckin’ love ya, Samira,” he began, bending on a knee, revealing a ring adorned with a small diamond. “I wanna marry ya. And… I ken that I’m not the man yer parents wanted for ya. I’m a hypocrite when it comes to me politics and friends, and I’m difficult to live with. I canna offer the life ya deserve, but I love ya, and I’ll do anythin’ for ya. I’ll be yer husband, if ya’ll have me.”
Samira pulled him by his arm to stand. “Oh, shut up you bloody melodramatic Scot, of course I will fucking marry you—I don’t care what people think of us. I love you. And that’s all I need.”

It’s pretty self-explanatory, drinking milk from a cowplant will now cure zombiism! Unlike the elixir of life, the cowplant has no fail state, so the interaction will always succeed.
Most of the code for the cure came from treeag’s sim transformer, though partway through this project I came across @jellymeduza’s potions and borrowed some from her too. If you have her “Cured of being a zombie” memory, it will be added during the interaction. It isn’t required, though. Use caution when installing custom memories, as they are difficult to safely remove from the game.
I also incorporated some of Meduza’s code into making a version that’s compatible with @midgethetree’s zombie overlay mod.
I’m not 100% sure what the EP compatibility is- I did my best to add EP checks where I could, though. In theory, the only requirements should be University and Pets. Why Pets? Well, I used the werewolf transform animation so that the transition from zombie to human skin would look more polished:
Known Conflicts: Midgethetree’s Elixir Doesn’t Work on Ghosts- @veetiesims2 has created a mashup of midge’s mod and mine (even the overlay version!) which can be downloaded HERE.
Onto the downloads- choose only one! If you get the zombie overlay compatible version, please note that you need to get the zombie overlay mod. It is not included.

3.129 Friend

Sophia was still on the couch when I got home, rubbing her belly ever so tenderly. Knowing Dr. McKnight prescribed rest, I wondered if a little exercise would be okay. All that sitting couldn't be good for her health, but our focus was the baby for the time being. Besides, Sophia was perfectly happy to sit there and host our girl until check-out time; she was so beautiful doing it, too.
"Looks like our sweet potato is not a sweet potato anymore," I said.
"Nope," she replied, still rubbing her belly. "She is fully grown and ready to rule the world!"
"World domination already? I thought we'd have time for a few rounds of hopscotch before then."
She laughed heartily.
"I'm sure she will pencil you in."

"I hope so."
"So how is Maira? Is she coping alright?"
I paused for a moment, thinking about how to answer without going into too much detail. It wasn't that I didn't want her to know what we spoke about. I just didn't want to worry her...because of the baby.
"She, uhhh... She's got a lot on her mind. I think she'll be okay, though. She was talking about corrupting our child, so I'd say she's back, heh."
Sophia chuckled and shook her head.
"Hopefully she'll wait until she's at least a teenager! But I'm glad she's alright. It's so tragic what happened! That's way too young to die."
"Yeah, it is. What about Rashidah? She seemed okay at the parties."
"Well...you know how it is when you wear a mask."
I certainly did. We had become experts at it.
Sophia's text notification chimed.
"Oh! Speaking of her," she said, looking at her phone. "She's inviting us over tonight."

That was a first. We'd been together all that time, but now when it was critical for Sophia to rest, she invited us to her house? Sims.
"Do you feel up to it?" I asked. "I mean, you're in the home stretch now..."
"I'll be fine, Luca! We're just gonna go over there and sit around, so what's the difference?"
It wasn't the sitting around part I was concerned about. Socializing wore her out sometimes, and she was supposed to be conserving energy. But whatever my pregnant queen wanted, she got.

Mark and Rashidah lived in Willow Creek down the street from our old house. It felt really strange to be back in Courtyard Lane after all this time. Bittersweet memories came to mind as I glanced at our house. From the outside, it looked so cheery, with its manicured landscaping, colorful flowers, and white picket fence. The new owners had no idea what secrets lurked behind the walls and how many gallons of tears stained the pillows. Hopefully, they were having a much better time than we did. Flashes of lightning and booms of thunder cut my memory lane jaunt short. Mark and Rashidah came out to usher us in from the storm.

Naturally, Sophia and Rashidah flew to each other like magnets, sharing their excitement about the baby together. I didn't know Mark that well, but we tried a little small talk. As the night went on, the two lively friends carried on as always, laughing and swapping stories. Maybe she bore her grief better than Maira. After all, she was a lot older than Imran and may have already left home by the time he was born. Or perhaps she desperately needed cheering up, and Sophia had done her job well. Either way, I was glad we left her in higher spirits.

3.115 House Tour
Hello! It's me, Jess, and we're back! Luca and Sophia have furnished and decorated the house and got it looking lived in. Let's take a look around, shall we? As always, these pics were shot a while ago, and some things have changed already.
Despite its deceivingly large exterior, the rooms in this house are tiny, making it hard to take decent pictures. I hope I don't have regrets trying to get shots for the story in here lol. Let's start in the front at the door. The foyer is small, but it's a proper enclosed foyer. Access to the main bathroom is in there.

Next, let's go through to the living room. As you'll see, grandma has already been shopping lol.

Next is the dining room, the biggest room in the house. Behind it is the office. Pardon the awkward configuration in there. The Elegato media center mod is still broken, so he can't make videos at his computer anymore, and there's no room for the media station, so this will have to do for now.

The kitchen! If I ever come into some money, or get really serious about my savings, this is the color scheme I want in my real kitchen, except I want butcher block countertops. Also? Can we just stop and applaud how far I've come with the clutter??

The stair landing was the perfect and only place the dogs could go, so I had to dress it up a little for them lol. I'm wondering if there's a routing error though because they both sleep on the couch instead when they usually sleep in their beds.
As you can see, throughout the house we have empty picture frames. I'm saving space for pics of the babies! Also I thought having a portrait of a spot in Oasis Springs would be something they'd enjoy to remind them of their start.

You can tell Luca and Sophia are enjoying and taking advantage of having more space in the bedroom lol. He's enjoying not living out of a suitcase anymore, and she loves having easy access to all her essentials. I didn't realize that bassinet was deco, so it's gone now.

Y'all know Emmy is coming lol. Like...we all know this, right? I'm not sure if she'll move in, or if Luca will ask her, but y'all know she's gonna all but live over there lol. There are four tiny bedrooms, and of course one is the nursery. They're not sure how many kids they're going to have, but with birthdays around the corner, and fertility drama, they're thinking not as many as they thought. They decided to make the smaller of the two rooms Emmy's the guest room. The other will remain empty for now until they know how their family is going to change.

Finally, the nursery and upstairs bathroom.

Mr. and Mrs. Gardenhouse on their wedding day, July 17th, 1925
Thaddeus and Adanna Gardenhouse were married in a large Roman Catholic ceremony in St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City—while Thaddeus remains Baptist, his marriage to Adanna ensures that their children will be brought up in their mother's faith, much to Jedidiah Gardenhouse's annoyance. Adanna comes from a wealthy Igbo family from Onitsha and met Thaddeus while studying zoology in America.
