Meeting the Family (Part one)

Here's a comic I've been wanting to do for a while now. Also needed a little more Hop on Spots to heal my soul. I doubt I'll ever get far enough into my story to write this part out, so this'll have to do.

I don't have names for Carm's parents (maybe I did at some point, but they're long gone now) but I should probably think of something at some point. But I did like the idea of them being opposite body types. Short chubby mom (let's see how you look after four kids) and thin as a rail farmer dad. Good combo.

The dragon Oltura from Monster Hunter Stories 2; remade from scratch as a World-style model.

Very tricky project; around 15 million polys and several 4k texture sets. Those wings are almost double the normal surface area of the monster; but I feel like this came out pretty well.

In retrospect I might have done something different with the weird angular teeth instead of following the original design; they seem really artificial.

Fun Fact- I actually started this comic two god damn years ago, but never got far because I lost a lot of progress because of a crash. That's why the first page looks slightly different than the rest. Also I wanted to wait until we got to this point in my story, and guess what? These two nerds finally got there after 30 or so chapters.

I've been slacking in the Hop on Spots content lately. Drawing has been hard the older I get. Hoping to get back into it with this.
