End of Year Review

1. First things first, did you have a good year? It had its ups and downs, but overall? Amazing. 2. How old did you turn this year? I turned 24. 3. Do you feel your age? Yes, in some ways, no in others. 4. Did your appearance change in anyway? Lost a bit of weight, accepted my girly side, finally started bringing colour into my wardrobe, got some scars, fucked up my thumbnail... 5. Post your favorite selfie. No. 😂 6. If you traveled, where did you go? Stoke, thriving metropolis that it is. 😂 7. Which fashion trends did you love? Boyfriend button ups, thick brows, lashes, the final acceptance of ginger hair, oh my god. 8. Which fashion trends did you hate? That like wavy brow thing? And glitter in your parting? What on earth. 9. What was your favorite article of clothing this year? Post a pic if possible? I've been entirely neutral on all the clothes I've worn this year apart from the boyfriend button up I got like...last week, lmao. 10. What song sums up this year for you? Oh god, probably something cheesy like Taylor Swift's Fearless. 11. What album came out and has been on heavy rotation since then? Ed Sheeran's Divide. 12. What was your favorite movie of the year? I've been exceptionally bad at watching movies this year, but I did just see Bright and loved that, so, uh...that. 13. Did an actor/actress catch your attention for the first time this year? Amybeth McNulty in Anne with an E! 14. Favorite new TV show? Anne with an E, probably. Peaky Blinders? Silent Witness? (Not even new to me, but like...newly watching episodes, not just catching bits here and there?), Bones, Making A Murderer, etc. 15. Which new ship/fandom has taken over a lot of your time, attention, and tears? Uhhhhh Anne Shirley-Cuthbert and Gilbert Blythe, take my fucking heart and stomp on it. 16. What food did you try for the first time? Halloumi, I guess? 17. Did you make any big permanent changes this year? Hell yeah. Left my fiancé, moved house starting building a proper relationship with my mother, all sorts. 18. What was one nice thing you did for someone else? Moved in to take care of my mother and help her in her recovery. 19. What was one nice thing you did for yourself? Gave myself the time to heal enough to start creating art again, to start reading books again, to start listening to music again. 20. Did you develop a new obsession? Hmmmm, delving deeper into history? 21. Did you vote? Yes. 22. Did you move? Yes. 23. Did you get a job? No, I've kept the same job I've had since June of 2016. 24. Did you get a pet? Briefly, yeah, but then she disappeared, sadly. 25. Do you regret not doing anything? Nothing I can think of. 26. Do you regret doing something? I wish I'd been nicer to some people, been more upfront to some people instead of letting things carry on that I wasn't happy with. I kind of appreciate the breakdown I had, but I wish I didn't scar so badly, since the scars are very noticeable. 27. Have you done anything that scared you? Yes, yes, yes. Admitting I wasn't in love with my fiancé and getting the courage to finally leave, facing the issues with my mother, admitting that I am severely depressed and have crippling anxiety and a self harm issue, admitting that I've always been in love with Joseph, finally letting myself believe that he loves me back. 28. Did anyone/thing make you so mad it stayed with you for days? Oh, absolutely. Mostly just office bullshit, though, thankfully. 29. Did you lose anyone close to you? No one that I wish was still in my life. Stay in 2017, fuckers! 30. Did you fall in love? Technically no, I've always been in love with him. Technically yes, because once we got back in touch, I fell in love with him all over again. 31. Did you fall out of love? I suppose it looked like that from the outside, but I'd never really been in love with him, I just thought I owed it to him so I made myself think I was. 32. Did you start a new relationship? Yes, two. 33. Did you go through a break up? Yes, two. Dumping people kinda sucks, but it's for the best. 34. Did you have to cut ties to someone? Yes, a few people. 35. Who was important to you this year but wasn’t important last year? I guess my supervisor, haha. He's like my best friend now. 36. Who wasn’t as important to you this year as they were last year? I actually don't think this applies to anything, except maybe my old boss? 37. If you could have a do over on one thing you did, would you take it? I don't know, maybe? But the things that come to mind have helped me grow so much as a person. 38. What was the best moment of the year for you? When he told me he loves me. 39. What was the worst? Holding my mum's hand as she went through violent withdrawal symptoms. I try not to think about it. 40. Did anything happen that you were sure would change you as a person but it really didn’t? No, not really. 41. Did anything happen to you that you were sure wouldn’t change you as a person but it did? Leaving my fiancé, going on antidepressants (I can feel things again? It's bizarre), seeing my grandfather age. 42. What are you most proud of accomplishing? A photorealistic portrait, helping my mum recover, admitting to the self harm. 43. What have you learned about yourself this year that you didn’t know in the years prior? I am a strong person. I am a good person. 44. Did your opinion of anyone change for the better? Yes, a few lucky, lucky people. 😜 45. Did your opinion of anyone change for the worse? Yes, sadly. 46. If you make resolutions, did you complete them this year? I've spent the last few years completely on autopilot, to be honest, so I've not set myself any resolutions previously. 47. If you make resolutions, what will your resolutions be for the coming year? Love more and care less. 48. If you could go on an adventure during the remaining days of the year, where would you go and what would you do? Who would you go with? Well, I'm filling this out on New Year's Day (a few hours in, really), so...all year is available. I wanna go to cathedrals and museums and art galleries and the Isle of Skye and somewhere icy and gorgeous, all with Joseph. We'd just wander around loving things and learning things and we'd go on walks in the snow together and go to a fireworks display and see amazing things. 49. What do you wish for others for the coming year? Happiness, health, love, wealth, peace, comfort, acceptance, friends, broadened horizons, accomplished goals. 50. What do you wish for yourself? All of the above, and specifically such things with Joseph.

1. What is your name, and does it mean anything? My name’s Bethan; Google tells me it means either “oath of God” or “God is satisfaction.”

2. How long have you known your best friend? Six years in September.

3. What position do you normally sleep in? On my stomach, for sure.

4. Were you a part of any “clique” in high school? I suppose? Just the nerds, though.

5. Who was your favourite teacher in high school and why? I didn’t really have one at the time, but I am always fond of my English teacher.

6. Do you want to travel a lot? I think in a world where I wouldn’t have to work, yeah, I’d love to travel. I might still end up travelling now that I can afford it, but I don’t know that it will be a lot, really.

7. Did you participate in any sports while in school? Not by choice, lmao.

9. Have you ever given blood? No.

10. Do you like the way that you grew up? Yes.

11. Do you like your siblings? Why or why not? I don’t have any.

12. How did you meet your best friend, and why did you become friends? We met at college on the very first day, and we ended up being in the same Classics class, and all throughout we just ended up realising how fucking awesome the other was.

13. Name one movie that made you cry. Literally almost every movie, lmao. I’ll cry as soon as anyone else is crying. Even one tear.

14. Do you prefer to read poetry, write poetry, or neither? I prefer to read it; it requires more organisation of the mind to write it than I have, I feel.

15. Things about someone you find attractive? He’s my boyfriend.

16. What song are you currently listening to? I’m not listening to any songs, I’m just watching Gogglebox.

17. Have you ever broken a bone? If so, how? I’ve not broken one that I know of, but I fractured my collar bone when I was two or three. I was apparently playing dress-up with my mum’s high heels in a Cinderella dress and ended up falling all the way down the stairs, lmao.

18. A random memory from your childhood? Getting taught how to ride a bike by my neighbour.

19. Where did you grow up? Partly in London, but mostly in various towns in the north-east of England.

20. What was the last thing you watched on TV? On the actual telly, it was the news.

21. Do you think you’d make a good parent? I don’t know, I think everyone thinks that they would, but you might never know until you’re actually in that situation.

22. What was the last dream you remember having? I had a dream that I was tasked with finding the reason for our company being charged an extra several hundred quid from another company, and I was absolutely dead set on finding it on Thursday, because I’ve thought this was real for the entire last week of my life, but when I asked my boss about it it turned out that there never was such a situation. Fucking top class dreams, really creative, lmao.

24. How many pillows do you sleep with? Two very flat ones.

25. Do you wear glasses? If so, how long have you been wearing glasses? No.

26. What colour is your hair? Ginger.

27. Name five facts about your appearance. Ginger hair, blue eyes, eyebrows that refuse to comply with my wishes, boobs far too big for the no bra style to be rocked these days, chunky.

28. What is your favourite soda? Probably Diet Coke. Fanta or a fruit flavoured one is my actual favourite flavour, but they go flat so fucking quickly.

29. What is a strange talent that you have? I can make all of my fingers bend at the knuckle closest to the fingernail and make them stay like that without any help, I guess.

30. How’s the weather right now? Sunny for now, but it’s been alternating between sunny and rainy every ten minutes all day, so I’m not holding my breath.

31. Why did one of your friendships end? She just decided that we weren’t the people she wanted to hang around with any more.

32. Who do you miss right now? No one.

33. Why did your last relationship end? Because they wanted to use the excuse of some difficulty in their life as a reason to treat me like shit.

34. Are you still figuring out who you are? Absolutely. I feel like I always will be.

35. Have you ever been admitted to a hospital? Why? Yeah. When I fractured my collarbone I went to hospital. When I got appendicitis, I was admitted for the appendectomy.

36. What is your favourite restaurant? I don’t have one yet, to be honest.

37. What’s a word that you always seem to spell wrong? I don’t spell it wrong, but I always find myself typing “equipment” wrong unless I concentrate.

38. Would you ever adopt kids? Yes.

39. What is your favourite kind of pizza? I feel like I’ll always be finding new favourite kinds of pizza, tbh.

40. What was your first thought when you woke up this morning? I was really shocked, because I woke up to a text about someone I know vaguely dying.

41. When was the last time you got really, really happy and why? Recently, because I was finally able to get my boyfriend something he really, really wanted for his birthday, and I’ve since seen him just so engrossed in it and so happy, and it’s amazing that I actually earned the money that got him something he’s been obsessed with for almost the entire time I’ve known him.

42. What’s the strangest thing you’ve ever eaten? Probably the scrambled eggs my mum made me in the microwave when I was like fourteen. I’ve since had them made the same way and they turned out fine, but for some reason the ones my mum made turned out grey. I only had a bite of them, though.

43. How do you start a conversation? It depends, really. If it’s with a colleague, I’ll ask how their weekend/night went. If it’s a friend, I’ll just tell them whatever’s just happened to me, or ask them whatever question has popped into my head.

44. What’s a band you’ve been obsessed with lately? Panic at the Disco again! Finally gotten back into music, thankfully.

45. Do you come from a family “of money”? No, definitely not.

46. Do you have a bucket list? Not really.

47. What is your favourite series of books? Definitely has to be the A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas, because it’s the first one that has ever, ever made me feel like I desperately need the next book, and the first time I’ve ever gone straight to re-reading the first book, not to mention the first time I’ve ever genuinely fallen in love with characters. Even with Harry Potter, I’ve cared about the characters, but not so much as those in ACOTAR. I’ve not yet finished the second book in her Throne of Glass series, so I’ll see if it’s just Sarah J. Maas’s brain that I love after that. I certainly consider Celaena Sardothien as my own personal chocolate-loving badass princess who deserves better already, so I guess we’ll see.

48. When was the last time you laughed so hard your stomach hurt? I get that once every week or so, to be honest.

49. Where do you go when you’re sad? My office.

50. Five random facts about yourself? I can sometimes hear a pin drop, but at other times I can’t hear what someone’s saying right next to me no matter how hard I try, I dream of having smaller boobs, I hop from not only book to book, but painting to painting like no other, colouring books have saved my sanity in my first month of work, and I almost fantasise about all the lipsticks that I could wear, but every time I get one I convince myself it doesn’t look right and never wear it outside.

1. When you have cereal, do you have more milk than cereal or more cereal than milk? Definitely more cereal than milk. I try to avoid soggy cereal at ever step.

2. Do you like the feeling of cold air on your cheeks on a winter day? Sometimes. Like, if I’m for some reason overheating (which I do more than I would like), then stepping out when it’s just Baltic, and bitter, that’s really nice. But if you’re walking for miles and your face is going numb and you can feel nature trying to scrape every bit of make-up from your face, then it’s not so enjoyable.

3. What random objects do you use to bookmark your books? Honestly, nothing. I’m not one of those people that gets butthurt about breaking the spines (of paperbacks - I’d have to be quite violent to do it to hardbacks) of books, so usually I can find where I was, so bookmarks aren’t needed, whether it’s a book I’ve pretty much not been able to put down (which is rather rare for me), or it’s one that I haven’t picked up in years.

4. How do you take your coffee/tea? Almost never. But if I do, then I take it with barely any tea, tonnes of milk, and two sugars. I will only have coffee if it’s Douwe Egbert’s caramel or hazelnut cofffee, same amount of milk and sugar.

5. Are you self-conscious of your smile? Well, I don’t think it’s the best possible smile I could have. I’m perfectly happy with my teeth, thanks to braces in my mid-teens, but the way my mouth actually forms a smile isn’t the way I’d make it if I had the choice, but I don’t, so who cares? It’s just a smile.

6. Do you keep plants? Right now, no. I’d love to, but my father-in-law is hell-bent on having our garden be basically plant-free (he calls it sufficient or sustainable, I don’t think he knows what that means) until we have sorted out how the garden is going to be this summer.

7. Do you name your plants? No, they have names already.

8. What artistic medium do you use to express your feelings? Oil paint on canvas.

9. Do you like singing/humming to yourself? Sometimes. I much prefer it if I get to sing to a loud song when I’m alone rather than just singing by myself.

10. Do you sleep on your back, side, or stomach? I don’t know. When I’m falling asleep, I have to switch between all four options, because I get uncomfortable if I’ve been on one side for too long, and I’m told I’m basically the same when I’m asleep. So the answer is both all of the options and none of the options.

11. What’s your inner joke you have with your friends? There’s “good laas” with Jack, based off of a typo in a conversation on WhatsApp, National Treasure with him, “You know what I’ve had?” “It?” “It.” from Drag Race with him, and basically any memory from secondary school with Chris.

12. What’s your favourite planet? I’m quite a big fan of Earth, tbh.

13. What’s something that made you smile today? I don’t think there is anything I can remember that’s made me smile so far.

14. If you were to live with your best friend in an old flat in a big city, what would it look like? Probably exposed brick walls, flowy, gauzy curtains, a well-stocked, cosy kitchen, one whole room dedicated to being a really kick-your-feet-up, bounce-ideas-around library of both of our books together, a room dedicated purely for my art so I don’t get oil paint everywhere. There’d be lots of secret passageways, because the old flat is actually an old Victorian mansion, so maybe not exposed brick walls, all old, well-cared-for, solid wood stuff, huge puffy armchairs and massive sofas everywhere, huge beds, lots of light, a massive garden filled with massive bushes and trees for the bees and birds, and in the summer it would be the best place to hang out with a big jug of iced tea with the bushes providing shade and a gorgeous, heady scent...just the cosiest, most comfortable place for me and him.

15. Go google a weird space fact and tell us what it is! Apparently in space, the skin on your feet peels off. That’s exactly where I want to end my knowledge on that, my dude.

16. What’s your favourite pasta dish? A creamy tomato pasta bake with pancetta and a TONNE of mozzarella.

17. What colour do you really want to dye your hair? I don’t want to dye my hair. I’ve reached the stage where I sincerely love my natural hair colour, and at this point, where it’s only about six months before all the horrible yellow-blonde is grown out and cut off from the rest of my hair, I’m just so ready for it to all be my own, natural colour, which looks amazing.

18. Tell us about something dumb/funny you did that has since gone down in history between you and your friends and is always brought up. I didn’t actually do this, but got accused of it. This one girl decided that because I wouldn’t tell her about how my best friend’s mum died (which, bitch, first of all, why would you want to know, and second of all, why do you think that it’s my place to tell you that?), that she would just...I dunno, get revenge somehow. So two or three months go by, I’ve completely forgotten about this, as well as this girl in general, and then as soon as I get to school at around 8AM, I find my group of friends, and my best friend comes up to me and says “Have you been bullying ____?” And of course I’m like “What...”, so he tells me that she’s said that he, myself, and a few others in our group, but mostly us two, have been seriously bullying her and threatening her, including threatening to push her off the balcony in our school when we pass her on said balcony. Of course I lose my shit, because that’s insane, and it’s the first time I’ve heard any of this. My best friend lets out a breath and says “Oh, thank god. I had to check before you have a chat with ______ (our year leader, who the problem was brought to before it was brought to the headmistress), just so I knew whether you’d done it or not.” By my reaction he knew I hadn’t done any of it, just like he knew none of the rest of us had done any of it, either. So that gets brought up quite often because things around that time with us and this girl were a bit crazy.

19. Do you keep a journal? What do you write/draw in it? I do keep a journal. I just write what’s happened during the day. I’d love to have a much bigger journal so I could write for like five pages per day, and I’d really love to have enough space to draw in it, too. I’ll find a big book or I’ll get one of those ones that are just the jackets and you add the pages in yourself, I’ll do something like that.

20. What’s your favourite eye colour? I like all of them. Brown eyes are what I’d choose if I was forced to choose one, though, because they seriously are underrated and they turn to golden honey when you see them from the side and the sun’s out.

21. Talk about your favourite bag, the one that’s been to hell and back with you and that you love to pieces. You know, I haven’t really had a bag that I could say has even featured as above anything but neutral to me. When I was at school I think I had a number of your typical emo bags, and I probably loved them quite a lot back then, but since I’ve gotten out of school, college, and uni, I’ve just used Primark handbags. There’s a non-Primark one that my mum got two of so she gave one to me which I love the size of, but it’s a bright turquoise so I can’t wear it with every single outfit. If I could have that same bag but in a neutral colour, I would pick that one, because it’s literally like the size of my torso. I have used that one for stuff I’ve had to bring with me when I’ve been with my mum to hospital frequently, so I guess that one has technically been to hell and back with me.

22. Are you a morning person? I think I am. I’m currently finding it difficult to get up before 9AM, but fuck, I was getting up at like, 3PM at some points before, so I think I’m getting better. I absolutely love the feeling of actually waking up at, like, 6AM, and knowing you have the whole day ahead of you. It’s a totally boring stereotype to think that artists just paint at night and that it’s not “cool” for you to be an artist and to have a healthy sleep schedule at the same time. I personally fucking hate making art at night, now, especially because it gets so cold here at night, and when I’m painting I need to really be painting in a well-ventilated area. So yeah, I’d say I’m a morning person, or if I’m not quite there yet, I’m working hard to getting there.

23. What’s your favourite thing to do on lazy days where you have no obligations? Painting is really nice. If it’s one of those gorgeous sunny days where it’s just the right amount of hot weather to the point where you’re not dying of the heat but you’re feeling sunkissed, I love sitting or lying out in the front garden and reading a book.

24. Is there someone out there you would trust with every single one of your secrets? My best friend, Jack.

25. What’s the weirdest place you’ve ever broken into? I’ve never broken into a place, lmao.

26. What are the shoes you’ve had for forever and wear with every single outfit? I don’t have any that fit that description. I think my old Converse would have been what I’d have answered had I been taking this survey ten years ago, but I don’t really care about shit like that anymore. I just wear shoes suitable for the weather.

27. What’s your favourite bubblegum flavour? Don’t really like bubblegum, tbh.

28. Sunrise or sunset? Sunset, I’d say.

29. What’s something really cute that one of your friends does and is totally endearing? Jack gets really happy about his plants, they’re like his kids, and that’s really sweet to me.

30. Think of it: have you ever been truly scared? Yes.

31. What is your opinion of socks? Do you like wearing weird socks? Do you sleep with socks? Do you confine yourself to white sock hell? Really, just talk about socks. I don’t really have an opinion about socks. I used to sleep with socks on, but I don’t anymore, not for any particular reason, though. I think I basically just wear black socks and then there’s one pair of fluffy socks for when it’s cold in the house.

32. Tell us a story of something that happened to you after 3AM when you were with your friends. I guess something that happened is that me and Jack worked on the basis of a book together.

33. What’s your favourite pastry? Baklava is lovely.

34. Tell us about the stuffed animal you kept as a kid. What is it called? What does it look like? Do you still keep it? It’s Dougal from The Magic Roundabout. Yes, I still keep it.

35. Do you like stationery and pretty pens and so on? Do you use them often? Yes, I do like them. I use pens every day, for my journal at the very least if I’m not inking a sketch in a sketchbook. Not enough to justify buying like ten a day, though.

36. Which band’s sound would fit your mood right now? One of those City and Colour types, I suppose.

37. Do you like keeping your room messy or clean? I much prefer it when it’s clean, but I need to get better at keeping it that way.

38. Tell us about your pet peeves! I’d get way too angry, lmao.

39. What colour do you wear the most? Black, still.

40. Think of a piece of jewellery you own: what’s its story? Does it have any meaning to you? My pearl set has a nice story, I suppose, in that my boyfriend got it for me for Valentine’s Day because he knew I always wanted some matching pearl jewellery.

41. What’s the last book you remember really, really loving? A biography of Bess of Hardwick by Mary S. Lovell. You could tell that the author seriously loved how badass Bess was. Oh, and Amanda Foreman’s biography of Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire! I mean, at the end of the audiobook, there was an interview with Amanda Foreman, so you do get to really find out how much she loves Georgiana, but even before hearing that, I just had the sense that she really cared for her subject, just through the style and the way things were approached.

42. Do you have a favourite coffee shop? Describe it! No, I don’t.

43. Who was the last person you gazed at the stars with? Probably my boyfriend.

44. When was the last time you remember feeling completely serene and at peace with everything? The first day of spring this year, so only a few days ago.

45. Do you trust your instincts a lot? Pretty much all the time, like everyone else.

46. Tell us the worst pun you can think of. I can never think of puns, that’s up to Aaron.

47. What food do you think should be banned from the universe? Tuna, tbh.

48. What was your biggest fear as a kid? Is it the same today? Spiders. YES.

49. Do you like buying CDs and records? What was the last one you bought? I suppose I liked it when digital wasn’t a thing. But I don’t even really listen to music so much anymore, so I have no idea what the last one I bought was. Probably like Panic!’s first album, or something a long time ago.

50. What’s an odd thing you collect? My own paintings I guess?

51. Think of a person. What song do you associate with them? I associate Jack with the song The Devil Within by Digital Daggers.

52. What are your favourite memes of the year so far? Fre sh a vacado 100%.

53. Have you ever watched The Rocky Horror Picture Show? Heathers? Beetlejuice? Pulp Fiction? What do you think of them? I’ve watched all but The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and I like all of them.

54. Who’s the last person you saw with a true look of sadness on their face? I don’t know. My dogs do a pretty good impression of it when they’re not getting attention or food for five minutes.

55. What’s the most dramatic thing you’ve ever done to prove a point? Um, shouted, I guess.

56. What are some things you find endearing in people? Just being open-minded, having a good sense of humour, and having good banter before I even get to you.

57. Go listen to Bohemian Rhapsody. How did it make you feel? Did you dramatically reenact the lyrics? No, I won’t go and listen to it. I’m listening to a biography of Napoleon and I’m so close to finishing it after days so I’m not just going to stop. But I don’t reenact the lyrics. Although I do dramatically sing them.

58. Who’s the wine mom and who’s the vodka aunt in your group of friends? Why? We are both actually both of them at different times. Nothing to do with drink, just personality/joke wise.

59. What’s your favourite myth? The Persephone myth, of course.

60. Do you like poetry? What are some of your favourites? Yes, I really like poetry. I used to hate it when I was in school, but we were made to read some very boring (for me) stuff (I truly hate Seamus Heaney’s work, I’m sorry), and they tried to get us to write it, as well, which...no. Not for me, sadly. I used to really love Pablo Neruda’s stuff, but then I found out he’s a rapist, so now I’m a bit worried that I won’t be able to separate the poet from his works. I like Anne Carson, and Margaret Atwood, and I’m really loving this surge of poets on Tumblr who write mythic poetry and poetry that references characters like Ophelia, and the poetry that’s all about women being amazing, and princesses not needing to be rescued, that’s really refreshing to read.

61. What’s the stupidest gift you’ve ever given? The stupidest one you’ve ever received? I pretty much have only ever given paintings I’ve made, lmao, so if you find that stupid, then all of them have been the stupidest. I don’t know what the stupidest one I’ve ever received was, to be honest.

62. Do you drink juice in the morning? Which kind? I drink juice literally all of the time I’m awake. I get every single ice cube from the tray and shove it in my bottle and then have summer fruits juice and drink like...six of them per day.

63. Are you fussy about your books and music? Do you keep them meticulously organised or kinda leave them be? I’m definitely not fussy. Since my music listening has taken a real beating, I can’t answer that one right now, but books, whew boy. I just last weekend cleaned up my entire art room (which is where I also have 98% of all the books I own in this house), and since I only have two bookcases, we had to take a Tetris approach. So no. I basically just leave them be, now. I’ve got the twenty-five or twenty-six books I’m currently reading physically out on the lower part of the coffee table, and I won’t go into the bookcases until all of those books have been read. So I’m definitely leaving them be for a month or two, at least.

65. Is there anyone you haven’t seen in a long time who you’d love to hang out with? Both of my best friends. I haven’t seen Chris in like...three years, so I need to sort that out soon, because I love him to bits. I haven’t seen Jack since last August, when he moved to Newcastle, and that needs to change!

66. What would your ideal flower crown look like? White peonies, dude. It’d probably be heavy as fuck because they’re like the size of apples but I love them too much.

67. How do gloomy days where the sky is dark and the world is misty make you feel? Well, something like 95% of all days in the year in Britain are like that, so sometimes it doesn’t affect my mood at all, but then sometimes it also makes things feel magical. That’s why I love Jack so much, because he shares that with me.

68. What’s winter like where you live? Where I am right now, it can get snowy, but being right on the shore of a big river, I don’t think we were far enough inland this past winter to get any. Basically it just got cold.

69. What are your favourite board games? I quite like Monopoly, because I always win, lmao.

74. Describe a good friend of yours without using their name of gendered pronouns. They’re the best thing that ever happened to me. They’ve been through very, very similar situations to what I’ve been through, almost at exactly the same time, and they were just there for me, right when I needed them. They always will be. They bounce ideas off me, and let me do the same with them, and just talking about the little worlds we have made up is such a great way to pick up my mood - I can’t think of anything that has such an instant affect.

75. Tell us about your pets! I have two dogs, both the shorter kind of Jack Russells. Trixie is the eldest one, she’s around eleven now, rather chunky, with brown eyes, and ginger and white fur. The worst smelling farts ever. She can whine with cadence and stops and starts that sounds like she’s talking to you. She gets possessive over her collar and always tries to eat her lead when we take her on walks. When she’s lying on her side she looks *very* like a seal, and she loves to wiggle on her back to try and get a scratch. Leila is the younger one - I think she’s about two or three years old. She wasn’t treated very well by the people who had her before us, so she came to us not only the runt of the litter, but also quite malnourished. She is a serious, unashamed thief of food, so since we’ve had her she’s put on some weight, and we can’t see her spine now. She can jump up about four or five feet when she wants to. If she’s not getting attention or something then she will whine to a point where it almost sounds like she’s screaming while someone’s kicking her, so that’s not the best thing about her, lmao. She’s got very, very dark brown eyes, and black and white fur. On her back, actually, her markings are like those optical illusions where it’s both a vase and two profiles. She likes to play fight with Trixie, and will get hold of Trixie’s collar with her teeth and actually drag her around the room. Trixie treats her like a mother would, so she’s not fussed at this treatment.

76. Is there anything you should be doing right now but aren’t? Not really. I’m finishing this before I get in the bath, but I don’t have a set schedule of when to get in, so I’m not breaking any rules by doing that.

79. What’s one of the cutest things someone has ever done for you? I don’t know, because I don’t like big, grand romantic gestures, as they’re just fake to me. I guess being there for me.

Thankfully, this relative is able to prove that she is totally unable to work, but there are people who have not had other people to absolutely back them up, or have them but have been tricked, and their money has been stopped, so they have starved to death. There are people whose money has been cut so severely that they can’t even afford the rent and bills, so they’ve been forced to take their own lives. There are many unreported deaths, but as far as I know right now there have been 4,000 people who have died as a result of this shit, and David Cameron is this week getting more scrutiny for having stuck his dick in the mouth of a dead pig when he was in Eton than for killing people. Thousands of people.

I'm usually just a bit worried that drama's about to start, that's what usually happens when someone messages me. Sometimes I'm surprised with a nice message, but usually it's someone I don't want to hear from, haha.

3. Have you ever looked down on someone because you thought your religious views were superior? Not specifically because of my religious views, no. I try never to look down on people.

I have a friend who would instantly cut out sleeping, but honestly...I like doing all of those things, I wouldn't cut anything out. I'd like to be able to go without all three when I need to. You could tell that they were the sort that opened from the outside. On our side of the doors, someone had spray-painted "YOU'RE TRAPPED". There were a few other women in there with me, and they were too scared to talk. The doors opened and it was all black on the other side. I got a horrible feeling so I went and hid in the corner and didn't look. I heard running footsteps, ones that you could tell were coming into the room, not out of it, and then someone screamed. I didn't look for a long time, but when I did, one of the women was gone, and the doors were closed. This happened a few times, with more women disappearing, and then the next time it happened, it was my turn. I was doing the same thing I did before, facing the wall, and I heard footsteps running up right behind me, and then I just heard heavy breathing behind me. The tension was building up, and building up, and right when I knew something was going to happen, I woke up.

I try not to have an ideal partner in my head, personally, just because I kinda think that if you have all these things that you have set in stone as what you desperately want, then you make it harder for yourself in whatever relationship you get into, like "oh, he's nice, but he can't bench press three of me at the same time as reciting Shakespeare to me and making me the perfect spaghetti bolognese with his perfectly clean feet". You're gonna set yourself up for disappointment, focus on things that probably don't matter, depending on what your criteria are, and it's gonna make it that bit harder for you to do what is super important in a relationship (in my eyes), which is to accept them for who they are. If you're constantly wanting them to do amazing things, it's not fair on you, and sure as shit isn't fair on them. That's not to say that you shouldn't have deal breakers, etc.

6. If you could go back in time and change things, would you? I don't know. Anything that's major enough to be thinking about in relation to this question was also major enough to actually mould me as the person I am right now, so I don't think I would, no. The things I've learned from mistakes/misfortunes that are obviously connotations of this question have really helped me to learn more about myself and my mind and to reconsider things that I didn't even notice about my life before now, and they've helped me to look at things in a completely new light and understand that I can get through things. This guy then turned into a straight up pussy bitch and called the police, thinking that it was my ex who was threatening him, and that he needed protection. Little freak.
