He hadn’t been expecting it. Then again, he’s pretty sure he should have been, considering the fact that Adelé seems to have no shame when it comes to him. Not that he has any shame when it comes to her, either, but walking into his cabin to find her wearing his shirt will always be a bit of a shock. He watches her clean her nails for a while, leaning against the doorway with his arms crossed loosely over his chest. “I dunno. What d’you want me to do about it?” He grins as he says it, coming up to stand in front of her. He takes the blade from her hands and sets it aside, leaning into her space just a little. “I’ve got a few ideas, but I’m not sure you want to hear ‘em.”

@lvebug asked what does bucky do to relax/in his free time when he has no other obligations? what brings him peace?

He likes going to the local animal shelter to sit with the cats. They climb all over him and sit in his lap and he can just zone out and pet cats for hours. He also likes getting a good sandwich and walking around Central Park. He’ll feed the ducks if there’s any out. He likes doing quiet things that don’t require a lot of energy. He can sit on a bench for hours and just let his mind wander. Sometimes that doesn’t end well, but he’s working on it. He’ll write, but he doesn’t do that very often. It reminds him of being on the run too much.

@lvebug asked what is five's favorite point in time that he's visited?

Five doesn’t really have a favorite point in time, mostly because he was never in one point in time long enough to form any opinions on it. The Commission stuck him somewhere, he killed someone, and he left. The only time periods he’s been in for an extended period of time are the apocalypse and the 60s, and he’s got issues with both of those periods for many reasons. If he had to pick, he’d say the present, because there’s no apocalypse and his siblings are all alive, but he’d never tell them that.

Carp, Texas is known for one thing. Panic. It’s a game played by all the graduating seniors over the summer. Players are tasked with completing challenges—jumping off cliffs, breaking and entering, spending the night in a supposedly haunted house, crossing a bridge while blindfolded—with the hopes that they’ll win the cash prize. This year, though, there’s a wrench in the works, and its name is Dodge Mason.

Four days after Dodge turned sixteen, his sister was killed in a hit and run accident on Halloween. His father killed himself six days later. Dodge and his mother moved away from Carp after the funeral. He spent his sophomore and junior years of high school in the neighboring town of Beecher, and he started planning. He had to get back to Carp. He had to make the people involved with Dayna’s accident pay.

He spent those two years researching everything he could about Dayna’s accident. He scoured police records and security camera footage for weeks on end, but he could never find what he needed. In a moment of desperation, he begged his mother to move them back to Carp, believing that it would be easier to find answers there. He was right, at least in a way.

When the Masons returned to Carp, they were greeted by Sheriff James Cortez. He had been looking into Dayna’s death, he said, and he’d found out who had done it. The culprit was a boy named Luke Hall. Luke was the same age as Dayna, and had neglected to check on her after he’d hit her that night. Dodge, never one to ignore an opportunity, decided to re-enroll in Carp’s high school. His plan was two-fold: pay Ray Hall one dollar every day so he could play Panic, and get close to Ray in order to kill Luke.

Dodge was, for the entire school year, a mystery. He didn’t get close to anyone unless he had to, and he told no one about his plan. When summer rolled around, he participated in Panic like nothing else was going on behind the scenes. When he met Nik Rembrandt, he didn’t expect to fall for him. He also didn’t expect to find an accomplice.

Dodge and Nik terrorized Carp that summer. Luke Hall was found stabbed to death. There was a Ghostface mask left at the crime scene, but when police when to swab it for DNA, it was gone. They never found out who stole it. Cortez was next, also found stabbed to death. He’d lied about who killed Dayna and Dodge wasn’t going to let that go. Their final victim was Nat Williams. She was found hung in the same barn that Dodge’s solo challenge had taken place in, with a stab wound in her lower abdomen. She’d used Nik in Dodge’s solo challenge and he wasn’t going to let that go, either.

Carp never finds out who was responsible for the murders. Nik and Dodge leave town after killing Nat. Eventually, Carp moves on, but no one ever really forgets the murders that happened that one summer.

some notes

this is the worst version of dodge. he’s incredibly possessive (toxically so) when it comes to nik, and he will not stop until everyone on his list is dead.

his mother never finds out that her son was behind the murders, but she suspects it was him. she doesn’t know how to feel about it.

dodge’s classmates know him as the weird quiet kid that never really said anything to anyone. he fades into the background incredibly easily, which works in his favor.

his primary weapon is a knife, but he can and will use a lasso in order to stop victims from running away.

nik was nearly hung for dodge’s solo challenge—dodge stopped the mechanism that he was hooked up to in time—and so they decide to kill nat the same way that she’d almost killed him.

Art blames his disorientation on the alcohol in his system. And he blames the alcohol on Patrick. He knows he can’t refuse Patrick—he tried, once, and then never again—but he really would like to stop ending his nights at hotel bars. He’s not at a hotel bar right now, though. He’s wandering down some random street in some random city. He should’ve called an Uber, but he didn’t think of it, and he doesn’t know where he is, so there’s no point in it now.

He frowns up at one of the houses. He knows that door. Or at least, he thinks he does. If not, he’ll just have to hope that whoever lives there takes pity on him. It won’t be that hard. He’s got hickies and bruises all over him, and even though most of them aren’t visible, he knows he’s got at least two hickies on his collarbone. The bruises are all covered by his clothes. They always are.

Slowly, he makes his way up to the door. He knocks. And he waits. When it opens, he smiles in what he hopes is an apologetic manner. “Hi.” He winces at the slur in his voice. “Can I come in?”

Riff meets Tony the dog on one of his many nights of self pitying, drunken wandering around what used to be San Juan Hill. The dog came up to him one night and followed him back to the bench he was sleeping on, and slept under it. Riff couldn’t get him to leave no matter how hard he tried, so now he’s got Tony the dog.

In his modern verse, he finds Tony the dog wandering the street in front of Val’s and takes him in. He becomes the unofficial mascot of the Jets.

just saw the live action httyd and i’m trying so hard not to give riff a verse (i’m failing. he’s either got a monstrous nightmare or a sand wraith. her name is brynja and she’s a menace. riff found her in the woods near berk and raised her from a baby or potentially an egg, i haven’t decided yet) and i’m also failing at trying not to add astrid and hiccup (i haven’t added them yet but i’ll probably end up doing so by the end of the week)

He’s not really either one. He never did well in school—he’s never been very good at paying attention or sitting still—so he’s never really liked anything school related. He’s very good with his hands, and he’s good at fixing things (cars, sinks, toilets, electrical things, etc). He doesn’t mind reading, but he’s incredibly picky with what he reads. He likes sci-fi a lot, though. He likes to wander around art galleries, especially if they’ve got abstract art on display, but he doesn’t tell anyone that because he doesn’t want to ruin his image.

@lvebug asked does kaz have any scars/long-term injuries/chronic pain in addition to his leg?

He has one on his upper lip. It’s a small, straight line going through the right side of his upper lip. He’s got assorted ones on his knuckles from countless fights over the years. The gloves are good protection, but not from everything. He also has a very raspy voice, thanks to the firepox he got when he was nine. It doesn’t really affect him, though. It took him a bit to realize that he’d sound like that forever, but it doesn’t hurt him.
