We are please to announce that we are a part of the Good Karma Brands John Moser’s Children’s Radiothon this year! If you’re not familiar with who they are and what they do- they are sort of a “hub” for all of the other nonprofits around Dodge County that serve children to go for additional grant opportunities! This provides wonderful chances to get to know others who run organizations similar to ours and others that may be different too! But one thing is the same- Our hearts to serve! •Letters to Heaven• Tonight was a tough one for Bo’s Heavenly Clubhouse’ Support Group Attendants. As we embarked on a workshop to paint envelopes to hold our letters that we wrote to our children. Writing these letters meant consciously facing our grief and turning toward those traumatic feelings that are extremely painful to acknowledge. https://www.instagram.com/p/CqUEUlsOw9O/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Tonight we had our Child Loss Support Group where we discussed the Mourners’ Rights. Some of the common rights expressed were: • I have the right to experience my own unique grief in my own unique way. • I have the right to experience unexpected bursts of grief. • I have the right to be given time for the healing process. In addition to the Mourners’ Rights we also were given the letterhead to the Letters to Heaven for the letters that we will write to our children. These letters should be brought back to the next Support Group for our Letters to Heaven Workshop, however, these letters will not or do not have to be shared. Snow days means getting creative with stickering the donations and employing some little helpers. Today we talked about Bristol Bruesch. We talked about what it means to love someone even if you’ve never met them. My six year old got to hear all about Bristol’s love for little treasures and appreciating even the smallest thing as a paper clip. And just as we finished stickering all of her beautiful donations from Mom’s Dialysis Coworkers- River said, “Hey, maybe Bristol is teaching Bo how to find treasures in Heaven?” This ministry is done by simply pouring everything that we have back into this. And we’re blessed when loved ones turn around to give back by serving other future child loss families. ❤️ Bristol, this red heart and conversation is for you! We had a great Children’s Support Group tonight at Christian Life Fellowship in Mayville. We made Feelings Pizzas! 🍕 The kids were invited to write down their feelings on each of their Pizza Toppings. With feelings like: •”Lonely” •”Scared” •”Anxious” •”Tired” •”Empty” •”Nauseas” And one of the favorites tonight: •”Not Fair” Providing children a safe space to process their grief and big emotions is one of the best things that we’ve ever done as an organization. We’ve got hearts of gratitude while hearing the kids state their favorite things about the night was making the pizzas, making new friends and being able to talk about their feelings.
