It was terrifying, that tiny female version of his husband standing in front of him. Magnus wondered for the millionth time what he did to deserve this life. Still, he stalked forward, refusing to be put off by a glare that would have cowed lesser men. “Papa, yes!” he declared gleefully, sending the small ball of water towards his daughter.
She ducked, the water splashing against the leg of the desk and splattering her dress and cheek, making her laugh out loud as she threw her own waterbomb at him. Darting under the desk, she crawled until she caught up with it and wrapped her arms around his legs, chest heaving from having run around the house for hours.
❝Got you, Papa!❞ Dottie giggled, throwing a water bomb, propelled by blue magic which matched Magnus' hue exactly, also the exact same colour of Alec's eyes.
Magnus turned around just in time to get a water balloon to the chest. It exploded, drenching him from eyes to waist. “Dorothea,” he laughed, leaving it for now. The summer had arrived in New York and anything to take the edge off was welcomed in his opinion. “You do realize I will have to get my revenge right,” he growled playfully, conjuring a ball of water in his hand.
