BIG NEWS, everyone! Ciro Nieli has been given a copy of the zine!

Ciro Nieli and Greg Cipes both received copies of the zine at Turtlecon this weekend, thanks to @chanceofcloud!

Getting the zine into the hands of the cast and crew was a big part of the reason the Shuggazine team put so much effort into making a lovely physical edition available, and I'm beyond excited to see it's really happening!!! 8D (Photo shared with Chance's and Ciro's permission. last night i dreamt i was flipping thru channels and came across this boomerang-esque one (reruns of old cartoons) and there was a super robot monkey team spinoff on it..???

like it was undeniably the same style, same character names but it had no monkey team branding like it was pretending to be its own thing i was so mad literally nobody awknowledged it - not the wikis, not the creator, Nobody. like.. wtf do you mean there was a srmt spinoff from 2008???

it was like the same show except the monkeys were all pre-cyberknetics so they were all cute babies and they didnt talk. What da hell

I am split between Technikki X Starlow and Technikki X Maykit, tho I lean into Technikki X Starlow. Any thoughts?

theres huge potential for technikki/maykit but I dont think they even interact in canon... but the chemistry is there damn it!! I rlly like it personally ^_^

Her and starlow have some cute interactions! But theres so many viable options... its not my top pick but i can see why youd like it!

(also my mutual @fullmoonfireball has done some cute art of technikki/ten if ur looking for more potential ships hehe)

when I first learned of srmt i thought to myself 'super robot monkey team hyperforce go? What kind of stupid name is that lol'

then i watched "I, Chiro".

Mom Holy fuck. This ☝️. is the moment that sold me. made me realize 'Oh. this is something special'.

I gotta be real w you i think srmt has inspired me to be a better artist, branch out and try new things i never dreamed of doing... the sculpture im most proud of... my first ever zine submission.. i taught myself how to sew and made my own plush from scratch...

that episode that got me into this turns 20 today. and i just wanted to give it some special attention ya know? Thanks ciro for making the best monkey team episode : ]
