As we observe Juneteenth, we remain steadfast in our hope for a unified and liberated society.
Father God, please guide our nation. May the gospel encourage us to love one another. May the teachings of Your scripture guide our practices. May Your Spirit foster an unprecedented sense of unity among us.
Amen

One of the most significant challenges an individual can face is admitting when they are lost. We often find ourselves driving in circles, ignoring directions, and disregarding our navigation systems, driven by a desire to navigate our own path. It is only when all avenues have been explored that we finally acknowledge our loss. Are you seeking a solution to your problems? Are you currently on the wrong path and looking to regain your bearings?
In such situations, there exists a trustworthy reference guide that can provide precise directions. The Bible serves as your spiritual compass, offering expert guidance through the complexities of life. While newspapers, radio, and television may offer some insight, they pale in comparison to the Bible's comprehensive coverage of every conceivable scenario, rendering it the supreme navigation guide for our lives. By immersing yourself in the Word, you will soon be directed back on course.

Be aware that it is not possible to meet everyone's expectations. Shift your focus to pleasing God. The key to pleasing God lies in faith. By placing your trust in God, you bring Him immense happiness. A superficial acknowledgment of His existence is not enough. He requires you to trust in His power to accomplish the impossible. Invite God into your current circumstances through faith. Even the smallest display of faith can have a profound impact and help you overcome seemingly insurmountable hurdles.

It is essential to take a moment to appreciate life. Our time on earth is fleeting, and tomorrow is not guaranteed to anyone. Take a step back from your daily routine and pause. Allow yourself the privilege of spending quality time with loved ones. Acknowledge the significance of both minor and major blessings. By nurturing relationships with those dear to us, we create lasting connections.

God desires that we exercise discernment in our commitments today. Merely because someone has solicited your involvement in an activity does not obligate you to participate. Be prudent in what you consent to. Refrain from permitting external pressures to dictate hasty decisions. The choices you decline can create opportunities for you to engage in endeavors ordained by God.

Help is a universally understood word that indicates a need for support. Upon hearing this word, individuals immediately grasp that someone requires assistance. However, not everyone feels at ease asking for help. Some people are uncertain about who to turn to. Do you hear the people around you who are in need? Are you willing to provide assistance?
A family member may be struggling to pay bills. A young person in your neighborhood may be looking for a mentor. Each day presents an opportunity for you to act as an agent of hope and rescue. We all have needs. There are two roles you can play: the one who receives blessings or the one who gives them. Let's make a collective effort to make a positive difference in someone's life. Your act of kindness will significantly benefit the recipient. You may also find that it benefits you in the process!

My wife and I watched a movie that featured a poignant scene, which had a profound impact on us. In this scene, a grandmother, traveling with her grandchildren, brought her car to a halt in the middle of a dirt road. A man approached the vehicle, anticipating the need to provide assistance, only to discover that the car was not stranded. Instead, the grandmother had intentionally stopped, as she was adhering to God's guidance. She had been instructed to travel down an uncharted road and await God's presence. The grandmother waited for seven hours before being encountered by the man, who, despite being an unlikely candidate, proved to be an angelic figure. He provided her with the exact amount of money she had prayed for. Will you be obedient to God's command and willing to wait for His guidance?
God is omniscient and aware of our problems. Many of us have been socialized to be self-sufficient. Nevertheless, God desires for us to rely on Him, as He wants the best for us. We must cultivate trust in Him, surpassing the trust we have in ourselves. Waiting on God necessitates submitting to His voice and adhering to His guidance. When we choose to wait on Him, His blessings surpass what we can achieve independently.

Today, affirm to yourself that success is within reach. God has authored your triumph. Inform your thoughts and emotions that, in God's loving shelter, you possess sufficient strength, success, and resources. Allow God to be your pillar of strength. When you are weak, God's power prevails.

When I was twelve years old, I had a near-death experience due to drowning. I lay motionless on the concrete floor of a public pool. The prolonged period I spent underwater led people to believe I wouldn't survive. The doctors advised my parents that if I did survive, I would likely suffer from long-term complications. Despite this, my parents remained confident that I would make a complete recovery. Are you currently experiencing a "near-death" situation in your life? Is everyone around you counting you out?
Life is replete with trying and tempestuous situations. In the midst of these difficulties, it's hard to discern a glimmer of hope. While others may be doubting your ability to overcome, remember that you have an unyielding advocate and intercessor in Jesus Christ. Just when your situation seems most dire, He intervenes to save you. Have faith and believe in God's capacity to deliver you. By entrusting your situation to Him, you empower Him to intervene and bring about a positive outcome.
