obviously we have shanks being more verbally and physically affectionate because that’s just how he is in general… but i also raise for your consideration mihawk who doesn’t care what anyone thinks about him. only person’s opinion he’s ever cared about was shanks. mihawk who kisses shanks whenever he feels like it, and doesn’t really care if people stare at them… it’s also just mihawk making up for his poor verbal affection with strong physical affection—shows his care by the gentle way he patches shanks up after every duel, so naturally he shows his love by being as gentle with him in romance… i also just like the idea of shanks thinking mihawk won’t be very affectionate until mihawk shamelessly kisses him in front of his crew, and then his face is red the rest of the night heehee… anyway just thinking about mihawk being good at physical displays of love since his love language is acts of service and he’s touch starved to HELL
