it was funny to realized that it was actually Slippy, who was Fox's best friend?!

I always thought it was Falco when i was younger... Think it's so cute tho to imagine a fox and a froggy being best friends hahaa XD

I think it was also because Fox and Falco were in Super Smash, so they kinda became even more, the face of the Starfox serie for me

Soooo, how i see it was that: Fox and Peppy must have been the original members of the new Starfox. then Fox must have asked Slippy a hand since he already knew him, THEN Falco joined?

I recently had that idea that Fox had to win over Falco's trust to join in... Maybe Falco was like, a really skilled freelancer causing some sort of trouble? Because of his arrogant and boastful personnality

Then Slippy had the idea to tell Fox to challenge him to an Arwing race or something. Then if he'd won, Falco would have to join their team

I imagine Fox was still young, full of potential, but wanted to learn from the best. Peppy was good mostly for the theory stuff but maybe too old to teach on the field? But Falco being younger and full of energy was more suited to teach Fox on the battlefield?

Maybe he underestimated Fox and was sure to win in a heartbeat, but then he lost against Fox. Maybe he felt both stupid and impress and was suddenly really interested in the idea to teach him.

Then, obviously Fox would have succeed and even tho they're together now, they're still rivals... Rivals that respect one another? So Falco is like, sort of his mentor... but also friend asshole.

He like a loyal asshole friend, brother, gonna shit on you, but also protect you with his life

Idk, i can't remember if they ever told the story of how every one of them joined SF, but you can kidna guess with Peppy, since he was with Fox's Dad... idk
