Sensors were still jarred and Power Joe shook his head, willing them to clear, even as he felt Nitro's grip change and clench around his arm. Too stunned to grab hold with his other or make any other attempt to brace himself, he felt the centrifugal force of his body flying up and the dark workyard spinning around him. The confusing blur of motion made him feel sick even as his sensors began screaming over the pain in his shoulder as the tensors strained to the snapping point. Optics still cutting out periodically, the world went black for a moment as he felt the sudden lash of reality, stopping dead and hitting the ground. He shrieked in pain as the tensors and socket of his arm disconnected abruptly and his limb was ripped away. Sparks and oil gushed from where the appendage had been and consciousness was flickering as the kung fu mech laid there, shocked and unresponsive as his sensors began shutting down.
Power Joe is it? Fallen under her spell yet? I know her better than anyone. I have something you need to see, it's important. Before she ruins you, and everyone around you. Meet me at these coordinates and I will give it to you immediately. Please come alone, I'm worried she already knows I am here and she wants me dead as it is!
Power Joe had been woken up by the ping on his communicator. Grabbing for it with groggy inaccuracy, he was suddenly very awake as he scanned the content. He read over the note several times, hand coming up to his mouth and clenching over his chin. Who could this possibly be? There was no good reason that he could understand… nothing at all he could fathom that would suggest that Velocity was a threat to anyone. Not like this. He found himself getting angry at the suggestion.
But… what if?
No. It wasn’t true. But… as a police officer, he also couldn’t in good conscious ignore it. He analyzed the coordinates for a few solid minutes. He would have to go, alone. He needed to. Whoever it was, maybe he could at least get an explanation out of them. Vel… his Vel wouldn’t hurt him, or any of them. This had to be straightened out right away.
Leaving as quietly as he could, Power Joe left the precinct and transformed into his vehicle mode, heading for the coordinates.

Power Joe felt the blow to the larger mech's chest land and was prepared to launch himself into another attack with his tonfa, when suddenly his reality halted and he felt his midsection being grabbed. He moved his limbs ineffectually, hoping to work himself free, but instead was met with a crushing force to his helm that was so hard and violent that this sensors cut out momentarily. He cried out, processor rattled as his optics flickered in and out a few times. He felt warm oil seep down from the seams under his optics and nose and sputtered when they trickled down to his mouth. Stunned, he grunted and tried pushing at the dark mech's hands, hoping to somehow work himself free.

It didn't take a genius to figure out that this mech was becoming hostile, and fast. Power Joe shifted one pede back and drew two tonfa from storage compartments in his hips, stance ready to move. "Vel hasn't done anything to hurt us! If you think she would then it's you who's the moron. It's all lies!"
Wait... in love?
The mysterious mech had stricken the first blow and it was one the kung fu mech couldn't prepare for. His processor raced at the notion for a vital second. Was he?
Not now, idiot! Power Joe knew he was in trouble. This mech was much larger than him, but he'd taken on bigger enemies. That's what he was built for. This guy was scum, and it was going to be his pleasure to beat that cruel smile off his faceplate! With a high-pitched cry, he made a powerful jump forward and brought his knee up to the black and grey mech's midsection.

"I'm not gonna shoot you." Power Joe sighed in annoyance and put his badge away. "But meeting someone out in an abandoned workyard in the middle of the night puts a cop on edge." His stance was relaxed, but ready to move. He got a weird feeling about this...
He listened to what the mech had to say and clenched his fists a few times. Vel... had murdered others? There was no way that could be right. "Yeah, look, I understand if you're trying to warn us, but if Shadowmaru didn't give us the information, I'm sure it's only because he thinks the same thing I think: it's bullshit. I'm not buying it." This mech looked dangerous, but he also couldn't afford to loose his temper completely when he only seemed to be concerned about their safety. "Look, we got it covered. If--and I'm humoring you here--but if she were dangerous, she's already in police custody. You can relax."

The kung fu mech rolled into a darkened lot, processing the coordinates again to make sure he was in the right place. This place hadn't been in use for years. Was this right?
It must be, otherwise the tall mech who stood in wait would be a strange coincidence. He transformed a few paces away and paused, showing his badge. "Brave Police. This had better be important. What's all that you were saying about Vel wanting you dead?" Something about the mech made him assume that he was the same race as Velocity, but he was a lot taller than him and he hated to admit that it was putting him on edge.

Velocity broke the kiss and Power Joe opened his optics, looking at her questioningly. Her mouth went against his neck and toyed and kissed and he let out a shaky vent. Her question was both easy and hard to answer, because the more she held him and touched him this way the more he did. "Yeah." he managed quietly. "I do." He processed her offer and felt himself flush with heat for several different reasons. "I dunno... if i can do what you did to me." he admitted timidly, pressing his face into her shoulder. Could he? The pleasure had been almost impossible. He didn't know if he could replicate that, even a fraction. "I... I'll try, though. I want to."
A knock came to the door of Velocity's suit. Power Joe's expression was worried and a little frightened. He'd seen the femme in distress before, but not like this. "Hey, Vel? It's Power Joe. I... uh, can I come in?"
There was a strangled sound, muffled by the closed door. It could have been a yes…but it was nearly impossible to tell. Someone was out to get her and she shouldn’t be surprised. Not really.
In the past she had been terrible, sparkless, cruel. She wasn’t this great and good thing now either but she was…trying. She had a real job, and friends now.
And it was about to come crashing down around her.

Somewhere in his processor, Power Joe still wondered if this was okay. She had seemed so upset just a moment before. But she was wrapping her limbs around him and it didn't feel like a bad thing at all. His kiss matched hers, and when she pulled up tighter against his frame he trembled slightly. His hands moved over her back and clutched her to him as his kiss became much less timid and and a little urgent. Heat was climbing, slow and passionate and making the core of him ache.

He shuttered his optics when she pulled away and felt his faceplate warm a bit. Easily he let her take his hand and be guided over to her berth. "Yeah... sure." he whispered with a breathy vent, feeling a little shy. He watched her recline herself and felt his engine gun. He was completely smitten and he was a little embarrassed to admit just how much he wanted to hold her. He wasn't quite as innocent as he had been before; he knew what they had shared before and found himself yearning for that. Not just because it felt nice, but because of her. He timidly slipped up onto the berth and faced her on his side, eagerly rejoining the kiss and pulling himself closer to her by slipping his arms around her waist.

Her expression made him worry that he had way overstepped. "I'm s--" Wait... what? She said yes? Not only yes, but very much so. She looked almost pained but she was beautiful and... she was his girlfriend. Wow. He smiled all over, grinning enough to show his dentae, but looking almost completely overcome with emotion. Then he wrapped his arms around her again and pulled her back into a tight embrace. "I like you a lot too, Vel." he said into her shoulder. Then he looked at her again and timidly kissed her lips.

It didn't make it hurt any less, but Power Joe did at least understand what it felt like when he needed to vent. He met optics with her, then shut them again when she kissed his cheek, feeling a keen pain and sudden warmth in that touch. His hands came around from her back and gently held her shoulders, then he let out a long vent and felt his engine turn a little faster. "I... hey. I know this is a weird time for this, b-but..." He ran his grip down her arms, having to look away for a second and collect his thoughts. Then he looked back at her sincerely. "Would you... wanna be my girlfriend?"

He didn't shy away from the kiss she gave him this time. It felt so perfect to him, even though her sadness was making him ache. He kept his hands gently moving soothingly in a circular motion over her shoulders. "Do you wanna talk about it?" he ventured, hoping that it wouldn't just upset her more. "It hurts to see you this way, Vel. It's not you." His mouth pressed into her shoulder and he kissed her there, only a little bashful about it. He heard her murmur against his neck but couldn't make it out. "Sorry, I didn't catch that..."

In hindsight, it was probably rash to simply open the door, but the sound that came from inside her room was awful and only made him worry more. He hit the panel and opened the door, stepping in to look around.
She looked awful. He had never seen her like this and it was hurtful to watch. "Vel... hey..." He went over to her slowly, suddenly unsure if she actually wanted his company but compelled to go to her and put his arms around her. "What's wrong?" He knelt down next to her and put his hands on her shoulders.

The sensation of her face pressing into his neck made the kung fu-mech a little warm... and he felt a little embarrassed at the fact that she would probably be able to feel it. But what she said was enough to move him to sympathy and he pulled his arm tighter against her in a hug, pressing against the middle of her back. "I didn't know you had a sibling. I guess I can understand that. I kinda see the guys like family, we don't get along all the time." He smiled contentedly at her question. "Yeah... yeah, this is okay." Oh man, you have no idea how okay this is, he thought.
Distraught didn't cut it right now. Her emotional state of being was very fragile and she was stuck between wanting to cry, break things, hide in a corner and all of it combined. Things with LC were touchy at best and they could never seem to understand one another. Spotting the yellow BP officer then she would, without even a warning, shove him down and unceremoniously flop upon his frame. The only sound from her a quiet murph noise.
Power Joe didn’t even have time to say “Hey Vel” before the femme had pushed suddenly on his chest and sent him toppling to the ground. Too caught off-guard to even think about maneuvering to avoid the spill, he only barely rolled his elbows back to soften the fall. Still processing that, he certainly wasn’t prepared for Velocity’s frame to flop down over his as if she had suddenly become frame-less. He let out a surprised “Hmpf!” sound and cycled a few intakes of air, then finally had a moment to process the fact that Velocity was draped over the top of him, here on the floor. His optics widened and he thought to sat up, but her weight cancelled that plan.
Partially out of concern, partially on instinct, he put one arm around her. “Vel… uh—are you alright?”

What she said put him at ease a little and he allowed himself to smile. He had just been kissed by a gorgeous girl, after all. He felt good about it. He had almost brought himself back down to earth when Velocity's lips came rather close to the side of his helm and the heat of the air cycling as she spoke tickled at his audial. His frame shivered slightly at the sensation, as well as the puzzling implications of what she said, and the way she had said it.
He was a little relieved that she stepped away, otherwise he was pretty sure he was going to end up wanting to kiss her again and that seemed like it wouldn't be appropriate. After she gestured somewhat suggestively at herself, he suddenly remembered what he had said before about letting her into the engineering bay. "Oh, y-yeah! I was forgetting. Come on, I'll lead you there."
Velocity had known it would be his first kiss. With the way he was acting she couldn’t guess otherwise. Sure she could have been wrong but since when was that a thing? Watching him for a few moments she really couldn’t help but smile. She herself had never been so naive, well…that was a lie. Naive sure, cute and sweet though, not at all.
"Well, there you go. You can remember that anytime someone tells you something about your mouth and trouble. Mouths /can/ cause trouble but they can do oh so much more." The last part was whispered conspiratorially at the side of his helm.
Pulling back she ran a digit up her frame and shook her own helm. ”Now, about those wash-racks?”

Every movement she made seemed so elegant and charming that he found himself pretty caught up in just watching her and realized that he probably looked a little stupid. He shuttered his optics as she purred at him with those luscious vocals of hers and closed the gap between them even more. The heat of embarrassment was rising as well as the heat of... whatever she was stirring in him. He almost asked what she meant by "one good thing" before the reality completely obliterated his thoughts.
He knew what a kiss was. He'd seen humans do it. He'd even mused how nice it must feel, since they only seemed to do it when they liked each other very much. But experiencing it was far more intense than anything he could have fantasized. As her lips touched his, a jolt lanced through his circuits and caused a flutter in his chest that he had never felt anything close to before. He didn't return the gesture, really. He was frozen. Only as she began to pull away did he unconsciously reciprocate with a small, uncertain caress.
When it was over, he looked like he had been rocked by a cosmic event, searching her with a shocked expression. He let out a shallow vent and said, "That was good." He couldn't even think of anything else to say. His processor was still swimming.
"Oh, disgusting. If it is anything like iced energon that is. I have no idea what ice cream is." The expression she made was downright haughty and she shook her helm at the mere idea. "I, thankfully, will never have to know such. No one will be driving around in me. Only /I/ drive me." Another snobbish flick of her helm and she just let that drop.
"Yes, that is my designation. Did you…want something PJ?" He was so easy to play with and she was having so much fun, none of it malicious though. The poor mech had no idea what he got himself into. "Are you feeling alright? You seem hot all of a sudden, I can feel it radiating." Should she… or shouldn’t she? Really now she had just met him but this was so perfect!
Why not?
"Maybe we should change that then hmm? One good thing." It wouldn’t be anything major, nothing too lingering, but she would kiss him. How could she resist?
