people need to realize that clear and explicit death threats are the one thing you can’t weasel out of…you can get away with a lot of implication and metaphor but as soon as you say “i’m gonna murder…” with your name and face attached, you’re basically cooked, no matter how noble your cause is. i don’t know if it’s because the internet has cheapened death threats, or because it has incentivized competitively hyperbolic language but like…yeah…if you literally say you are going to kill someone, you’re gonna have a bad time

my favorite theater reaction was the second time i saw merrily when frank said “i just met the girl i oughtta marry” and the audience…gasped and murmured…instead of laughing…they truly got it…

btw if you’re going to a movie or a show in a theater and you’re gonna be on your phone the whole time, you have no reason to be there and it’s better for everyone, including you, to stay home or go somewhere else
