Shout out to older trans women and trans women in general who post their transition stories.
I’m an AFAB cis woman who may be intersex(? depends on your definition and if PCOS is an intersex condition) and I need hormone replacement therapy to regulate my body and increase my estrogen levels.
I was a little hesitant though because I’m 30, done developing and I didn’t think HRT would do much to alleviate my symptoms and the way I felt about my body. But I did research and sooooo many trans woman came up and showed and talked about how much they changed with the help of meds I’m taking, even women who started HRT in their 20’s or 30’s.
So I decided to start HRT and I feel great! My acne has lessened, my body hair is starting to thin out, my head hair is healthier, and bigger changes might be on the way like fat redistribution, who knows! All I know is that I’m thankful to the trans woman who showed me the effects of the medication I need to live my best life.
