I always get asked why I shoot in 4K with the responses of ‘it takes up too much space’ and ‘you just don’t need it’. Personally I love shooting in 4K so I can pull stills from my footage and it looks like a professional photo.. the size of these files means that the clients can receive a much higher quality product - and I am completely willing to spend money on storage and deal with a slower edit so that my clients can receive cool pictures like these. I made one of the biggest decisions that I have ever made this week, and that was to resign from my full time job with a major bank to pursue my passion full time in the filmmaking industry. There are a million feelings and thoughts going through my head but deep down I know that it was a risk I had to take.
