can i be honest. i was naive and didn’t imagine this level of depravity. the radical left that opposes the genocide and famine in israeli society is too small to carry out any kind of meaningful direct action that can bring aid directly to gaza now. we used to be able to fly palestinian flags at anti-occupation and anti-apartheid protests in 48, that’s a distant dream st this point, sometimes it feels like i must’ve imagined it. i think about the lands a hike away from rashash that the shepherds were holding down against encroaching outposts in 2018. rashash isn’t there anymore. they were ethnically cleansed. that’s the west bank, that’s not even gaza

it’s so fucking terrifying how everyone is just going about daily life within israel as if nothing is happening. the cafes are full all day. i can get delivery in west jerusalem on wolt (doordash) from 300-400 places — restaurants, bakeries, grocery stores, butchers, florists — all within 20-60 minutes. there are people dying of starvation 90 minutes away while we don’t go without in the slightest. we will be all be arrested and jailed or shot if we show up at the border and try to bring food. this is in a world where other countries aren’t even intervening to help. macron says they’ll recognize a palestinian state in september. okay? but what about the fucking man-made famine in gaza? how do we all have food and they don’t? how is no one forcing israel to let food in?

there’s more soldiers everywhere too, and every time i see a soldier i think about the people who compare this genocide to the US in vietnam. and i just get angry because in the US people were at least fucking spitting on soldiers and finding ways to dodge military service. there were famous musicians writing anti-war folk songs. here in the hyper-militarized jewish state, the best they can give you is one harbu darbu and three hilltop youth jumping up and down while spitting “am yisrael am yisrael am yisrael chai”

A free Palestine is not s threat, but the fact it's scaring Israel I'd say is a good thing. There should be a free Palestine regardless and I hope nothing Keir does right now ruins that possibility.
