Introducing the Lolita Guide Book: A Modern Guide for All Things Lolita
After months of preparation, compiling, research, and collaboration, the Lolita Guide Book is officially open to the public!
Ever wondered what lolita fashion is? You saw some girls at a convention wearing poofy, elaborate dresses and thought “what’s that about?” and needed more information? Or, have you admired lolita fashion from afar and finally want to get into it for real? Or perhaps you are a veteran and want to help educate newcomers or curious onlookers? You have come to the right place.
Below is a list of our pages, detailing all you need to know to get into lolita. Our guide is up-to-date and will be updated when needed, unlike “dead” blogs and websites which have outdated information. The Lolita Guide Book strives in keeping you informed.
Volume 1: The Basics
Volume 2: Styles, Sub-styles, and Themes
Volume 3: The Anatomy of an Outfit
Volume 4: Construction, Quality, Detail, and Care
Volume 5: Getting Dressed
Volume 6: Buying Lolita
Volume 7: Community and Culture
Volume 8: Dictionary
Our ask is also open, so if you have any specific questions not covered in the guide, please feel free to shoot us a message. We will post all answered questions so that others can learn from your inquiry, but if you do not want your question to be posted for any reason, please ask it un-anonymously and tell us to answer it privately.
We encourage the lolita community here on tumblr to reblog this introduction post to spread the word! Please feel free to link to this blog and its contents whenever you need it as well. Enjoy.

Look at what I’ve been working on since Christmas. My friend got me this cute cow print natural satin and I had to use it. I call my creation Milky Sky since it based on misty sky. It’s my first full back shirring piece and my first piece with pockets also my first tiered dress so it was a challenge
