So how does this work? Rating songs against one another is inherently an apples to radioactive walnuts sort of situation. That becomes even more complicated when you realize that I played 187 songs from 2018 this year… That’s a lot of information to juggle! 

Luckily for us though, some songs are more similar to others. There are just more entry points for comparison when you���re listening to Clark and Aphex Twin, than if you were trying to compare Brockhampton to Courtney Barnett. 

Therefore, I have broadly tried to classify the songs into sub-genres so it’s easier to evaluate them… but means there are 20 categories to vote on. That’s A LOT. So if you can’t rate everything… don’t! Just do the three or four categories that appeal to you the most, and pick your favourite song. 

Each category has it’s own Apple Music and Spotify playlist (thanks to Andrew aka, Pterodactyl in chat for his help!) for easy perusal and listening! Enjoy!
