it's 11:55pm... In five minutes it's official, i have lived 21 years of my life and the next series of events will be different, as for the 10 years of those 21 glorious annum, here i sit on my couch drinking my cup of coffee 😋 and listening to the "walang kamatayang" songs of Parokya ni Edgar (4min) as i look outward the window of my balcony, i see the horizon... who would thought that at the this age ill be already here in the United States, never in my wildest dreams (childhood and youthful) have i consider this possibilities.. never did i thought id be saying goodbyes, starting all over again, & have a sudden addiction to Nike Shoes! still i raise my mug! Salute to new beginnings! new stories! new steps! (3min) i always wanted to write a book, i guess looking at my notes on my laptop.. i don't even know when to finish it, i started writing the first sentence when i was 9 yrs old: "the bell on the church tower rang" it reads.. I remember abandoning the idea but when i turned 13 i started writing on it again... Now its half done.. i have done lots of stuff, started stuff and was never to finish them... made errata, change several sentences, changed the plot... But still i raise my mug! Salute to those mistakes! They made me learn lessons and affirms me to finally finish IT! (2min) usually i would spend my day with my friends & family, my barkada, my mates, my love ones... i had shared tomorrow's event with countless people who are special either still here or already left my side... funny how for the next chapter i see no one beside me but Him, His grace radiating, His voice- affirming.. He was their representation as my friends & family became His mirrors in my life.. I have to admit that most of those 21 years.. I was alone but never lonely.. My faith keeps getting tested but He was always faithful; He made me see that my past imperfections are no match to His perfect love; His presence takes out the sense of lacking in me... I am thankful & grateful to Him.. And so i raise my mug! Salute to my Savior! Salute to His unending calls! (1min) and so i find myself... asking... have i grown right? have i grown to be who people expected me to be? who i expected me to be? Or who God expected me to be? alas.. I don't have an answer to that, all i know is i am happy 😆 & that i am still a work in progress.. What would become of me, is up to those coming years to come, just like how Ash starts a new adventure in another Pokemon Region or like how Harry starts a new school year in Hogwarts (sorry cant help it.. Ehehe).. As i bid farewell to those 21 years.. I am ready for the couple more years to come, willing to do as much as i can.. So that in the end i may see Him face to face and say "Boss, i have finish the race and i kept the faith" So i raise my mug! Salute to all those years and Salute to a new age!
