Last but not least - Aliens!!
For this lot I used the civil centre from Isla Paradiso and got three birds with one stone: Military, Law enforcement and City Hall. I put that one underground too and made this lot in a ancient landmark of sorts. I decided that this planet has seen a lot of different species come and go - and stay. One of them is sitting on the bench, the lovely Taahe Eylee'N by Yogi-Tea. Alien Vampires, both she and her husband. I have had them in my CC folder literally for ages, but couldn't find the rigth world to use them in. But this world will have aliens, a whole bunch of them.

I used rugs for another couple of rabbitholes and put them in the domed parks. This is the hospital. Otherwise the parks would just take up a lot of space.

New rabbitholes
This is how the warp portals look. I still have 4 of them in game. Two of them in their original spots, this is the criminal rabbit hole - and it couldn't look any cooler, so it got to stay. I also didn't touch the graveyard.

I put one of the other warp portals, the theater, in a park.

And on the park on the opposite side of the street I put the school. But it is underground, and not a warp portal, I used a rabbithole rug instead.

The existing community lots were complete eyesores - the lot of them. The gym got turned into an art gallery.

The huge monstrosity that was the original gallery got bulldozed. I put a gym from the Store, Skylight Studio for the Performing Arts, on this lot instead. It fits right in. Just changed the interior a bit. Among other things I always put in equipment in my gyms, so that the sims also can work on their skills in martial arts in the local gym.

There were three different pools in this world - all of them ugly. One got turned into a poolside club (no pictures yet) , two got bulldozed - but I put the pool from Katy Perry Sweet treats there instead. Haven't found any use for that lot before. Changed the palm trees into the local yellow fantasy trees, but otherwise I let the vegetation be. Since they are growing potatoes and watermelons in this world, I decided that some other seeds the sims brought from their "human" world, also were able to take root.

Other are just small parks, like these three. They are mostly decorative for now. Will probably be turned into residential lots further on.

Among the other "meeting places" I created by using these small lots, are a basketball court and a café.

And up in the mountains - a local wateringhole. Most of it is underground.

Small lots
I bulldozed most of the warp portals, and got a bunch of small lots - and what did I do with them? Some of them I turned into meeting places of different kinds. This is a snooker hall - and the table evidently draws the sims in, because this is a very popular lot among the residents. At this time the visitors are the Landgraab clones.

I have thought for a long time, that it should be possible to turn Lunar Lakes into a really cool and fun world. Because as it is - it isn't: only basegame rabbitholes and every each and one of them a warp portal on a tiny little lot. Nothing much for the sims to entertain themselves with, no places really to mingle and get to know each other. A very, very boring world to play. And now finally I took the time to work it over- and it actually turned out better than I had dared to hope.

I also made over the Babes's house, so that i got a big more spacious. But since I really long to see the Kraken, I moved Karli and Rajan to a house boat that came with the world. Rei and Harley got the house after them. Also, this weekend I built a couple of new houses. One small starter lot and a family home.

Other than the beautiful diving areas (I've built at least one in most of my custom worlds) I never get tired of building house boats.

Because this extension is the reason I went from The Sims 2 to The Sims 3 - I just love the diving areas and features.

And the sharks still give me the heebie jeebies. Because no sims has had time (since I restart so often...) to perfect their scuba diving skills, I usually chicken out when I see a shark and make the sim return to the surface. This time though, Rajan started "examine" the shark autonomously - and sure enough he got attacked. I feared that his and Karli's baby never would get the chance to meet their dad, but thankfully Rajan had 9 points athletic skill, The Loves to Swim trait and had all his needs in the green, so he managed to defeat the shark and got a shark tooth as a trophy.

NPC Mermaids Triton King and Mia Azul got makeovers. Mostly Mia, who got a new more fitting hair colour. Also, they become residents, living on one of the islands in Cyclonsues Sand Castle.

And here come the custom sims... I gave Rajan rich parents, living on a yacht. And they are not the only extended family I have added. Hinni Hashini married Lora and Leandro La Rosa's only son - aspiring singer Felipe. I should have a pic somewhere... but I forgot to find something before posting.

I haven't posted anything in a very long time, but I have by no means stopped playing. But I keep re-starting and re-playing the same old worlds and mostly with my own custom characters. Isla Paradiso though, is actually into its second sim year, and I have been playing Babes on the Beach, where Karli now is married to Rajan Patel, and Rei is married to Harley Greenwood.
But of course I couldn't help myself, but added custom sims and made-over Karli's face so that she now has a snub nose - I thought that suited her better.

Verdante bachelor pad
Skyla Verdante took the kids and moved out. I decided to give her the house they were living in and built this for Roman instead. It’s a highrise on 8 Wellington St. and had a much smaller and not at all glamorous apartment before. Took some sloppy pics before I went to bed, and here they are.
