Mascot Exhibition

7th-level Conjuration Casting Time: 1 minute (Ritual) Range: Self Components: V,S,M (A Vile of ink, A chunk of stone carved into a humanoid shape, A fire, and A handful of dead insects (all consumed in the process) Duration: 1 hour. Classes: Bard, Cleric, Druid, Warlock, Wizard

Description: You focus on each school of the Strixhaven collage invoking the power of each of their mascots. The ink then begins to worm its way out of the vile and form into a Silverquill Inkling, The stone then shatters and forms itself into a stone humanoid, known as a Lorehold Spirit, the fire explodes launching a Prismari Elemental, The Insects morph into a Witherbloom Pest, and finally a  Quandrix Fractal forms itself out of a mathematical vortex. The creatures are an ally to you and your companions. In combat, the creatures shares your initiative count, but it takes its turn immediately after yours. It obeys your verbal commands (no action required by you). If you don’t issue any, it takes the Dodge action and uses its move to avoid danger.  

These creatures will be uploaded parodically throughout the week.

Alright folks, I know i’ve been rather absent since the whole Tumblr Apocalypse thing, but here’s some Proof that I haven’t just been sitting on My Ass:

Announcing The Oracle!

A couple Months back, while I was working on the Mutophage, I had the idea stroke me of trying to play DND using a Deck of Tarot Cards in place of dice. Seemed like a silly idea, but as it happens sometimes, it stuck. I had seen a few classes out there that tried to make use of a deck of tarot cards in same way. but in most cases it was something along the lines of “I play this card to cast this spell” and felt more like a TGC than like reading tarot. I wanted to make something more integral. The Oracle is My take on support-centric class. By reading and manipulating fate, they are able to change the tide of battle, granting boons to their allies, and casting certain doom on their foes. This class is built from the ground up with the intent of feeling like an actual tarot reading when played. Having read tarot for almost 15 years, I worked to make sure that everything flows naturally in the same way as an actual reading, and in a way that won’t upset your deck. In fact, I designed the class to work as a great exercise in getting to know a new deck, or just learning the essentials tarot in the first place. If you love DND, and you enjoy Reading Tarot, you should definitely give it a read.

Bedtime Talks

We’re playing Curse of Strahd and my party (consisting of a Tiefling Rogue, Elf Cleric, Dragonborn Warlock, and Draconic Bloodline Human Sorcerer) is currently staying at the inn in Vallaki. We split up into rooms with the girls (Rogue and Cleric) in one room and boys (Warlock and Sorcerer) in the other and we always have chats with each other before bed.

Rogue: I flirted with him (NPC) and it worked!

Cleric: That’s great! Okay, so we should get some rations and supplies before we head out tomorrow.

Rogue: Yeah. Maybe we should disguise Ireena too if we’re leaving her here?

Cleric: Good plan. You know, I think Strahd should try to kidnap himself a therapist instead of a young woman.

Rogue: He really seems like he needs it.

Cleric: We also need a better codename for vampires than “pitcher of tuika”.

Rogue: Mmm yeah, we’ll workshop it. Hey, what do you think the boys talk about?

Warlock: Why do tieflings have hair? Wouldn’t it burn off in Hell?

Sorcerer: Why do DRAGONS have hair?

Warlock: Why is [Rogue] such a bitch? I can’t believe she left me in the middle of combat

Sorcerer: Do you think we’re related?

Warlock: …oh my god are we related?
