those of you familiar with the royal family of númenor will recognize the name tar-ciryatan: he’s the dark-haired one on the right. next to him is a character of my own creation — his (younger, by minutes) twin brother, who later in life accepts a pretty ring from a stranger and goes on to become the witch-king of angmar.

along with the slight fashion influence from byzantium and medieval rus, i envision the númenórean court and formal attire to include more elaborate headpieces and earrings as well, but i didn’t want to add them here in case they’d be too much of a distraction.
