BEGGAR TEACHES A PRIEST, A LESSON HE'D NEVER FORGET
Once upon a time, a beggar reached out to a Priest to beg for alms. The Priest in return told the beggar to come through the back door and sit on the floor while he get the leftovers from the House.
The beggar who had no choice did as instructed.
This Priest came back with some bread, gave it to the beggar and requested they pray before he eats.
So, the Priest instructed this beggar to repeat after him. The Priest says, "Our Father, who art in heaven" but the beggar replied, "your Father, who art the heaven." The Priest glanced at the beggar and repeated the statement but, the beggar replied, "your Father, who art in heaven." The Priest then shouted at the beggar, "I said you should repeat what I say" but the beggar kept to his version of the 'Our Father.'
The Priest then asked the beggar why he had chosen to say "your Father" ...

THE MESSAGE OF FATIMA
HOW TO SAY THE "O MY JESUS" PRAYER
On July 13, 1917, Our Lady requested through the three little Seers, that while praying the Holy Rosary, the "O my Jesus, forgive us our Sins, save us from the fires of Hell, lead all Souls to Heaven, especially those who are in most need of your mercy" prayer be said after each decade.
Many Catholics, even learned ones say this "O my Jesus" prayer immediately after the three "Hail Marys" preceding the mysteries of the Rosary."
According to the Story of the Apparition of Our Lady of Fatima, the third apparition of July 13, 1917, relates that Our Lady asked we say this prayer after each decade. A decade, according to the dictionary.com is a group, set, or series of ten. This definitely means that the "o my Jesus" prayer should be said after each set of ten "Hail Marys."
There are 53 Hail Marys in 5 decades of the Holy Rosary, so no matter how many decades that is being said, the O my Jesus prayer should not be said after the 3 Hail Marys but after the 10 Hail Marys - which forms a decade of the Rosary.
This is how Our Lady of Fatima instructed that the "O my Jesus" prayer be said.

Vatican modifies the distribution of ashes for Ash Wednesday
A note was released by the Congregation for Divine Worship on the process in which Ashes should be distributed on Ash Wednesday, while observing the covid-19 social distance protocol.
Covid-19 has caused a lot of changes introduced into the tradition of the Church, that even some dioceses of the World no longer receive the Holy Eucharist on the tongue but on the palm of their hands. This act is being rebuffed by some sects who thinks it is a sacrilege, explaining that some particles of the body of Christ may fall to the ground from peoples palms.
Without digressing, in preparation for Lent 2021, which begins on Ash Wednesday, February 17, the Congregation of Divine Worship and the Discipline of Sacraments published a note on how Catholic priests all over the World should distribute Ashes to their Flocks.
The Instruction
After the ashes had been blessed and sprinkled with holy water in silence, the priest addresses those present, reciting just once the formula found in the Roman Missal: āRepent, and believe in the Gospelā or āRemember that you are dust, and to dust you shall returnā.
Then the priest ācleanses his hands, puts on a face mask, and distributes the ashes to those who come to him or, better still, he goes to those who are standing in their places.ā
He then sprinkles the ashes on each personās head ānot uttering a word.ā

NOVENA TO INFANT JESUS OF PRAGUE
Eighth Day - January 12
Meditation
The Most Holy Name of Jesus
āAnd thou shalt call His name Jesusā
(Luke 1:31)
What a beautiful name it is - Jesus. Once this name comes to anyone's mind, that Soul will be filled with joy. There is no other name in Heaven or on Earth that surpasses Jesus' name. The name of Jesus, formulated in Heaven, is a name of Majesty and of power because it is the name of the Incarnate Son of God. At the Annunciation, when Angel Gabriel told Mary that she was to be the Mother of God, he said: āThou shalt call His name Jesus, He shall be great and shall be called the Son of the Most High; and of His Kingdom there shall be no end.ā
Saint Paul, in his letter to the Philippians, talks about the majestic power in Jesus' name. The universe must adore the name of Jesus whenever it is mentioned.
The name of Jesus is comforting, invigorating and influencing. Going through agony, many martyrs found courage and strength by simply whispering "Jesus." The name is music to the heart for He is our only Hope and our Final End.
Once Jesus' love takes possession of a heart, all earthly vanities depart. Then truth begins to shine, enkindling love divine. Jesus is indeed our Light, our Fount of Life, and our true Joy. The sweetness of His Holy Name surpasses all that we can desire. So with Holy Mother Church let us raise our grateful heart and fervently exclaim: O Jesus!
āMay every heart confess Thy name
And seek Thee more and moreā
May every voice Thy praise acclaim
āAnd ever Thee adoreā
O Jesus Spotless Virgin Flower!
Our soulsā true Life, our Peace!
To Thee be glory, endless power!
And praise without surcease?
Let us Pray
O Holy Infant Jesus of Prague, behold us prostrate at Your feet imploring Your blessing and assistance. We firmly believe in Your goodness, Your love and Your mercy. We also know that the more we honour You, the more You will bless us. Remember that You told us to ask, to seek, and to knock at the Door of Your Infinite Mercy. So it is with the greatest confidence that we kneel before You today. Teach us how to ask that we may receive; show us how to seek that we find. Be pleased to listen while we knock, O Divine Infant Jesus, and open Your loving Heart to our trustful supplication. Amen.
O Mary, Mother of God and our Immaculate Mother
Pray to Jesus for us.
Concluding Prayer
O Sweetest Infant Jesus, You Who emptied Your Heart for love of us, Your creatures, give us a new heart filled with Your love. Make known to our spirits, the excellence and power of Your Holy Name, so that in all the trials of this life we may pronounce it with confidence and with love. Be pleased to lend an attentive ear to our suppliant prayer; and, if it be for Your glory and the good of our souls, grant us the petitions of this Novena (Here mention petition) ... Now, as we leave You, O Gentle Child Jesus, help us to remember that You are our all in all.
āO Hope of every contrite heart,
O Joy of all the meek!
To those who fall, how kind Thou art,
How good to those who seek.
āJesus, our only Hope, be Thou,
As Thou Our Prize shalt be.
In Thee be all our glory now,
And through Eternity!ā
Amen
O Mary, to whom this Most Holy Name was first revealed, teach us to love and honour the Holy Name of Jesus!
Our Father ...
Hail Mary ...
Glory be to the Father ...
Blessed be the Most Holy Name of Jesus without end ...
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit ...

NOVENA TO DIVINE INFANT JESUS OF PRAGUE
Seventh Day - January 11
Reflection
Poverty of Jesus
āFoxes have holes and the birds of the air nests, but the Son of Man hath not where to lay His headā
(Matt. 8:20)
Jesus was poor from the time of His incarnation. He became Man to teach us to emulate the virtue of poverty among other virtues. As God, all He needed was within His grasp but He chose to be poor. In fact, Jesus had no where to lay His head because He spent His nights praying for the whole World in open air. During His passion, He was ripped of His garment, and even at death, he does not even a sepulcher where He would be buried.
Our Divine Master tells us: āBlessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.ā This means that if we are content with whatever we have in life, and are resigned to the dispositions of Divine Providence in our regard, not clinging to, or coveting material goods inordinately, we shall receive the reward of eternal life.
May the Infant Jesus of Prague grant us the grace to be poor in spirit so that we may abound in the spiritual riches of eternity.
Let us Pray ...
O Holy Infant Jesus of Prague, behold us prostrate at Your feet imploring Your blessing and assistance. We strongly believe in Your goodness, Your love and Your mercy. We also know that the more we honour You, the more You will bless us. Remember You told us to ask, to seek, and to knock at the Door of Your Infinite Mercy. So it is with the greatest confidence that we kneel before You today. Teach us how to ask that we may receive; show us how o seek that we find. Be pleased to listen while we knock, O Divine Infant Jesus, and open Your loving Heart to our trustful supplication. Amen.
O Mary, Mother of God and our Immaculate Mother
Pray to Jesus for us.
Concluding Prayer
O Holy Infant Jesus, we thank You for all the sufferings which You endured in this world for us. At Your birth, a humble manger was Your Cradle. Your entire life was spent among the poor and it was for them that Your greatest miracles were performed. O Prince of Peace, Redeemer of mankind, the very son of God, we recommend our earnest petitions to You in this Novena
(Here mention petition)
Teach us to be poor in spirit that we may receive the blessed reward that You promised.
Enlighten our minds, strengthen our will, and inflame our hearts with Your love. Amen.
Holy Mother of the Infant Jesus,
Intercede for us.
Our Father ...
Hail Mary ...
Glory be to the Father ...
Infant Jesus, poor and simple,
Grant our petitions.
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit ...

NOVENA FOR THE SOULS IN PURGATORY Sixth Day - October 29 Meditation Painfully and gradually, the Holy Souls in Purgatory are nearing the end of their stay in there. The thoughts of uniting with their Almighty Father, who is merciful and just, makes them always look forward to that day they will be free from the torment they are going through. Let us pray today, that God will grant their desires and bring them peace. Let us pray... All powerful and merciful Father, grant the desires of Your Children who are going through the purification process in Purgatory. Send Your Angel to announce to them their freedom from the torments of Purgatory, so that they may enjoy Your presence, which is their utmost desire. O Holy Souls in Purgatory, do not forget to lay before God our intentions too (mention your intentions) when you finally see God. Our prayers and mortifications will help you find peace with God, so bring our intentions to Him on the day freedom. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen. SEE WHAT OUR LADY PROMISED THOSE WHO SPREAD HER MESSAGES THE TWELFTH OF THE FIFTEEN PROMISES OF OUR LADY TO THOSE WHO RECITE THE HOLY ROSARY Our Lady, through Blessed Alan, madeĀ fifteen promises to those who pray the Holy Rosary. The twelfth is simple, just like the other fourteen. Our Lady said, "all those who spread the messages of the Rosary shall be aided by me in all their necessities." This is a call to Order to all Children of the Blessed Virgin Mary. If you want Our Lady's assistance, you are not even asked to pray the Rosary instead, you are to spread the message with any medium you can, just likeĀ King Alphonsus of Leon, who always had the Rosary around his waist, by so doing, his Servants always recited the Rosary because they always see it on him and this practice saved him from Hell.Ā Do not be ashamed. If you want Our Lady's help in everything you do in life and in eternity... Just spread the messages of Our Lady, maybe on the internet, with your friends - whenever you have the chance and she had never been known to fail anyone. https://www.brcblog.org/2020/04/see-what-our-lady-promise-those-who.html https://www.instagram.com/p/CG69qX3lk96/?igshid=1b59xlr6vz8e

SAINTS CRISPIN AND CRISPINIAN Feast Day - October 25 Lived (d. 286) Patron Saint of Shoemakers, Cobblers and leather workers Legend has it that Crispin and Crispinian were noble Roman twin-brothers who with Saint Quintinus, went to Soissons, Gaul to preach the gospel. Saints Cripsinus and Crispianus as they are sometimes called preach during the day and spend their nights making and mending shoes. When Emperor Maximian, visited Gaul, they were dragged before Rictiovarus, a hater of Christians, whose position is somewhat unknown. Rictiovarus subjected them to torture but could not succeed in killing them, so he killed himself. Maximian therefore had the two brothers beheaded. https://www.brcblog.org/2019/10/saints-crispin-and-crispinian.html https://www.instagram.com/p/CGxHBYLFYl9/?igshid=1sdx8wbho7ep1

THE MIRACLE THAT LEAD TO THE BEATIFICATION OF CARLO ACUTIS The beatification of Carlo Acutis took place on October 10, 2020, after a miracle attributed to his prayers and the grace of God. In Brazil, a boy named Mattheus was healed from a serious birth defect called an annular pancreas after he and his mother asked Acutis to pray for his healing. Mattheus was born in 2009 with a serious condition that caused him difficulty eating and serious abdominal pain. He was unable to keep any food in his stomach, and vomited constantly. By the time Mattheus was nearly four years old, he weighed only 20 pounds, and lived on a vitamin and protein shake, one of the few things his body could tolerate. He was not expected to live long. His mother, Luciana Vianna, had spent years praying for his healing. At the same time, a priest friend of the family, Fr. Marcelo Tenorio, learned online about the life of Carlo Acutis, and began praying for his beatification. In 2013 he obtained a relic from Carloās mother, and he invited Catholics to a Mass and prayer service in his parish, encouraging them to ask Acutisā intercession for whatever healing they might need. Mattheusā mother heard about the prayer service. She decided she would ask Acutis to intercede for her son. In fact, in the days before the prayer service, Vianna made a novena for Acutisā intercession, and explained to her son that they could ask Acutis to pray for his healing. On the day of the prayer service, she took Mattheus and other family members to the parish. Fr. Nicola Gori, the priest responsible for promoting Acutisā sainthood cause, told Italian media what happened next: āOn October 12, 2013, seven years after Carlo's death, a child, affected by a congenital malformation (annular pancreas), when it was his turn to touch the picture of the future blessed, expressed a singular wish, like a prayer: 'I wish I could stop vomiting so much.' Healing began immediately, to the point that the physiology of the organ in question changed,ā Fr. Gori said. On the way home from the Mass... https://www.brcblog.org/2020/10/the-miracle-that-lead-to-beatification.html https://www.instagram.com/p/CGNh_OTlSWm/?igshid=j83ia7c6a58n
