When Optimus found his optics opening, his gaze met with Ratchet's, and instantly felt himself slump further into his berth with a relieved smile.

... He couldn't remember how long he'd been trying to deal with things. Felt like a headless avianoid trying to deal with... everything about Cybertron. So when he'd returned, at least temporarily, he just hit the nearest berth and powered down for a time, only to wake up from his recharge and be met with Ratchet. Light crept through old windows, past curtains of metal fibers.

He blinked a little, then softly murmured, " ... thank you, Ratchet. "

" I am... sorry, for being gone for so long, old friend. Things have been hectic. "

The look of pure joy on Optimus's face was quite honestly unlike any other.

At this point, it had become more uncharacteristic of him to smile (or even start beaming), of having his optics light up so bright-- yet it happened. At meeting this magic greybot, his optics widened and lit up like they were sparkling when this rather long dark-colored gown reached his pedes. It was a longer gown that had long sleeves, with frills along the edges and a frilly apron, with a frilled headband on his helm. The gown itself was a darker blue to the point of nearly being black in color, with white frills, apron and headband. It was all rather modest, not too overly-designed like the little princess outfit he had.

Smoothing out the gown, he managed a little laugh. By Primus, it'd been some time since he felt so-- so... free!
