Hello., just want to ask what do you think Taichi meant by messing around? do you think Taichi is turning into the dark side now?

Hi. Honestly, I do not know what Taichi really meant by those words and I am not really sure whether he’s turning into the dark side now (I think no one can really be sure on what’s going on, on his mind right now) But if he meant those words in negative way, I do not think that will be enough to define him as a bad person or that he’s turning into the dark side. Because whatever Taichi meant by those words, I believe that the Taichi we knew and loved isn’t fake. - his hard work and things he did to show how much he care for his friends and those “inner thoughts” about his regrets in each mistakes he does - is all real. And a person who naturally have a bad attitude wouldn’t even bother to think of each mistakes he did and regret it later on. And you cannot change that kind of  person into someone completely different in a matter of few  months.

Favorite moment from Taichihaya match part 3: You're the one who's actually hurt.

Taichi and Chihaya's hands collided during their match (which even Arata noticed). Then Taichi asked Chihaya if she's okay, she was a bit confused on what he’s talking about, but Taichi told her that their hands collided and asked her again if she's really okay (since her hands just recovered from an injury) Chihaya told him she's fine, but Taichi's hands caught Chihaya's attention - turned out, he was actually the one who got hurt.

And so, Chihaya started to realize that he's still the same Taichi, even though he's playing a different karuta it's still him -”the boy who's been doing his best with her the whole time”. After that, Chihaya calmed down knowing that there is nothing to fear. She started to look at Taichi more often, which eventually made Sumire thought on how "she's looking at him" and that "she's seeing him" even if it's not with love or passion, and commented on how Taichi have always wanted Chihaya’s  eyes to be on him.

Comment: What I love in this scene is the fact that Arata cheered her on before her match with Taichi begun and almost everyone she cared about is watching them, but what made Chihaya really calmed down is Taichi himself. And I also love on how this scene is what actually made Chihaya revealed a bit of how she really sees Taichi - that person who has been doing his best with her the whole time and cared for her more than his own.

Favorite moment from Taichihaya match part 2: Taichi stares at Chihaya.

The match that one of the spectators described as "overwhelmingly" serious continued. Nikuman commented on how Taichi's unfamiliar formation made Chihaya cautious. Chihaya thought on how difficult it is, that she's barely hanging on and that it's hard for her to breathe. Then she remembered Sakurazawa-sensei's advice about her posture and so, as she tried to fix her position, she ended up looking at Taichi who has been staring at her.

Comment: My favorite part is when Chihaya looked at Taichi - who has been staring at her. How can you not fall for that? - I just really think of this scene as one of the most romantic scenes in Chihayafuru. And I also love the way Suetsugu drew Chihaya as somewhat connected with Taichi.

Favorite moment from Taichihaya match Part 1: Taichi trolling

They were dead serious at the beginning of their match until Miyauchi-sensei reminds them of their Tasuki. They bickered,while tying their tasuki, then Taichi looked at Chihaya with somewhat “annoyed” face, thus Chihaya looked at him with a confused face. Then Taichi gave her a sweet smile and she smiled back at him, and the memory of the two of them resting after carrying the tatami mats, resonated on her mind.

Comment: This is one of my favorite scenes from their match- for the way  Taichi tried pretend annoyed before throwing that lovely smile on Chihaya,  which eventually made her smile back at him and so Chihaya started to calmed down.

But that moment, time really stopped..and we were the only people in the world.

That moment was so real yet so dreamlike

It felt like it only lasted a moment but also forever....

With our youthful hearts, that time.. we truly believed that eternity exist.
