Looking back on the NAReco community it's kind of insane how much hate yachimifu got. Like people couldn't mention it without some dudebro invoking iroyachi and panning yachimifu for being "abusive."

I only really mention it as I was going through some older ychmf content on western platforms and the comments were just complete warzones about how awful the ship was and why irych is better. I actually had a brush with this kind of response for the first time in a long time like, a week ago, which was weird but people told them to shut up. I'm kind of glad we're past this annoying ship war phase, but I wonder if it's just that those ppl left the community as opposed to them really changing.

People really were insanely aggressive about their shipping preferences back then.
