the supreme irony of orson scorson corson's virulent transmisogyny is that ender from enders game is like one of the most chillingly and accurately transmisogynized characters in all of science fiction

if you don't understand the post at a glance it's because op wrote it wrong and needs your help
if the post doesn't contain all the contextualising information you need to understand it, op is gaslighting you
if you haven't experienced the phenomenon the post describes, op is making it up for clout
if you haven't encountered the type of person the post describes, they're a strawman that doesn't exist
if the post doesn't address a topic you'd prefer to talk about, it's a distraction, missing the point, and talking over you
if the post makes a good point, it is your duty to contribute to human enlightenment by nitpicking it to be more correct

Also, "there was no reported loss of life because Iran anticipated how cruel, malicious, and evil the US empire is and evacuated their *civilian infrastructure* beforehand" that's not any better you absolute ghoul
i don’t know how to explain to you people that no matter what a country’s government is like i do not and will not support the US indiscriminately bombing that country’s civilians and i don’t know why that’s a controversial take tbh

Bombing civilian infrastructure used for the electrification of the country is just as deadly as other "humane" acts of warfare like sanctions. These are actions with a death toll that specifically target civilian lives.

What I believe is happening in the case of coming across a public expression of sexuality, or a trans woman in a dress, or someone wearing a BDSM collar, or a woman in a short skirt is that these things will strike some people as inherently "sexual" in ways that other things (such as topless men and wedding rings) do not. And things that strike us as "sexual" may evoke sexual stigma in our minds. And this experience of sexual stigma - which can act indirectly and from a distance, as we've all seen with fears of "contagiousness" - can make us feel as if we are being "nonconsensually" implicated in a "sexual" activity, even though no boundaries have actually been breached, and the supposed act may not even be sexual for the other party. Such overreaches are worrisome, not only because they further marginalize those who are already unfairly "marked by sex" in our culture, but also because they can dilute or weaken legitimate claims of nonconsent in cases where actual sexual violence has been perpetrated.

I've been doing a lot of thinking about my family and how I was treated as a child, and honestly, my father has never seemed more amazing in my eyes.
I used to love Luigi(Mario's brother) when I was little. Like, he was my favorite character ever, and I had multiple plushies of him. Didn't give a fuck about Mario, vaguely tolerated Peach, but I loved Luigi.
On my first day of kindergarten, my dad gave me the number for his work phone and said it was Luigi's phone number. "If anything happens at school, call Luigi."And not even twenty minutes into my first day, I was having a panic attack. So I went down to the principal's office and called "Luigi."
Now, at the time, my father was in a meeting with his manager and his supervisor, along with most of his coworkers. And when I called, he picked up before he even left the room.
And he put on a very awful Italian accent and said, "Itsa me, Luigi! Whatsa the matter?"In front of his boss and coworkers. Without telling them what was going on. So they were absolutely bewildered, and he carried on like they didn't even exist. He only explained what was happening after I had calmed down and hung up, to which most of them responded with "Aww, cute."
I continued to call him whenever I got upset at school, and eventually his coworkers got in on it. I distinctly remember one of them impersonating Toad. I don't know why I'm telling you this, I just thought it might make you smile :)
this is so delightful I love your Luigi dad

Do not let this empire toss away your humanity. Do not let this shit empire stop you from empathizing with the victims of American foreign policy.
America is a fascist state. Empathize with people they tell you are the enemy, the “radical” left and victims (people of color, muslims, those exploited by american capitalist interest) .
Moderates who are still pro fascism are still fascists. Those who are for this pointless war spurned by a genocidal imperial vassal state should not be trusted.
You are a human being. Every Muslim in Iran facing American bombs is being targeted for imperialist interests. Listen to a fucking leftist or the victims of imperialism.
You have more in common with them than those in power telling you Iranians are the enemy, as they’d gladly toss you aside, jail you, or kill you as well if you’re inconvenient. Biden starter the work to deport Pro Palestinian protestors and, well.
I could go on

"um excuuuse me, but our culture as men is founded on the denigration and humiliation of the women in our community, so when you criticize misogyny you are attacking our beloved history" doesn't magically become a good argument just because you're gay or trans, you dumb assholes

‘Building momentum for regime change’: Rumsfeld’s secret memos
By late November, Rumsfeld was meeting with Gen. Tommy Franks, Centcom commander, to plot the “decapitation” of the Iraqi government, according to the now declassified talking points agenda from the sessions (shown on television for the first time in the documentary). The talking points suggest that Rumsfeld and his team were grappling with a tricky issue: “How [to] start?” the war. In other words, what would the pretext be? Various scenarios were outlined: “US discovers Saddam connection to Sept. 11 attack or to anthrax attacks?” reads one of them. “Dispute over WMD inspections?” reads another. “Start now thinking about inspection demands.”
