He was raised by a widower Navy S.E.A.L., but before that, he would travel for his father work for a long time, not being able to form connections strong enough with other kids of his age.

Growing up, he had most of his attention towards his schoolwork and sports, as it was something unchanging throughout schools. Finding success on those both subjects losing most out of his social skills with this achievement. However  it paid off in the end when he got his scholarship to Lugano University by the mail. The nice paper and rich colors already told a lot about the place without needing a pamphlet and as his dream school since he fell in love for Hockey as a kid he couldn’t even think of nothing like his second or third options more local to himself.

With his father constantly traveling and on the move, he ended up picking up on languages from an early age, firstly being french, his mother’s native language. With his new found talent for languages he kept on going with that, find interest in international books as they were something that never would make him feel awkward and out his element.

Overall, there would be along with himself two Athans, one off rink, who would do his best to avoid any type of confrontation, being some kind of pushover on his eagerness to help others in any way he could, and than Athan the hockey player, who would shine the most on his blades, exercise was something he found as an easy common ground with his father, and it was something he could easily feel like he belonged with, the only actual expectations his coaches and teammates had for him was along physical aptitudes and that was something easily handled.

Along with language and books, came his love for writing, entering a creative writing class was one of the first things he did when enrolling to the university.

When someone asks Montague where is he from, his first thought is “how come?”. It’s a tough question for him, that never knows if the person is asking about his nationality, the place in which he was born, his current place or where his parents reside. There’s a different answer for each one of them. It’s specially hard because the Montague family is huge and have international ramifications. There are Montague households all around the world: each family with their own opinions, ethnicity and ideologies.

Carmine Nathanael Montague II, that often says that his family spreads like the plague, was born in Italy to Carmine Nathanael Montague, a French engineer, and Aoibhínn Lily Montague (née Kindellan), an Irish model. However, he spent his childhood mainly in the USA, because of his father’s researches. This Montague family made their money with cars and Carmine Montague wanted to make the first self-governing smart car.

Because of the multiculturalism within his own family, Montague traveled around a lot when he was a child and can fluently speak a bunch of languages, one of the few things his parents gave him that he’s actually grateful for. At first, his parents dragged him to their trips, either for work or for visiting other family members. After his fifteen birthday, however, he started traveling on his own and never stopped.

He knows a little about the culture of each country, he is always traveling and adding even more things to his baggage of knowledge. But as cool as this nomadic life seems, Montague has some existential crises. Who he is? Where does it belong? His home is the world. He has a hard time creating bonds, getting attached to others and calling a place home, he never knew how to manage the concept of attachment very well.

Even in high school, he was held back several times for absences and the constant desire to visit even more places in the world, regardless of whether the moment was favorable or not. He invented last-minute trips, most of them were not even necessary from a point of view that was not Montague’s, but he went anyway because life is too short to spend hours sitting in a classroom learning something he would learn in less time if you read a book on the subject. That’s how Montague graduated in high-school two years late: with excellent grades, but with a history of absurd absences.

He also has some problems with his parents, or better said, with their lack of attention. Mr. and Ms. Montague worked twenty-four hours for seven days a week, which makes Montague a staunch hater of the capitalist system, and for that reason he is a person detached from material goods, he lives for the experience (founded by his family’s old money). That’s why he travels a lot too, especially during holidays, because Montague always has to be on the move, doing something interesting. That’s also why he goes along with everyone who has a minimally interesting idea in his eyes.

Anyone who looks at Montague sees a strange man, about whom everyone makes several assumptions and people tend to underestimate his brains because of his appearance. In class, he seems sloppy and always seems to be with his mind in another planet, he never opened a notebook to take notes. But what most people don’t know is that Montague is a genius, gifted with photographic and associative memory that learns many things very easily, without much effort.

He tends to obsess with random things, but his interest is volatile and as quickly and hard he gets into something, he easily falls out of it. He is always thinking about something and holds information that no one else knows, whether it’s useful or useless curiosities, “scientific” data or conspiracy theories. He always wants to learn something new.

Dianna’s mother is an actress who was a child star but hasn’t had any major roles since she was a teenager, and her father is a Thai Immigrant who own a successful small business. She took her mother’s surname because it would play better to Western Audiences. She cares very much about her image and only so much as acknowledges her Thai heritage when it’s of some benefit.

Her mother pushed her towards show biz and she did a little acting when she was a kid, but was enamored with music very early on in life, so acting was slowly dropped to focus on music. She’ll go back to acting eventually- after she has a successful music career.

Her entire childhood was shaped by performing, and she grew up very reliant on praise for doing well, and that’s carried on into adulthood. It’s part of why she’s so controlling of those around her. She wants to make sure she’s always getting the praise she feels she deserves.

Related, she can’t take criticism at all. Like… at all. She’ll either start crying or the person criticizing her becomes a sworn enemy.

She works hard to keep herself at the top of any social ladder, and isn’t afraid to step on others to do that. She’s the Queen and anyone who doesn’t agree is going to become a target.

But under all that, uhh arrogant insecurity, she is a talented singer and songwriter. It really is a genuine passion for her. It’s just also messy and wrapped up with the constant need for external validation.

EXTRACURRICULAR: Seems as though her introverted self comes into play, Daisy is definitely not in any extracurriculars, she’s thought about it, but she can’t really seem to get herself into anything, she’s a bit of a rambler anyways.

A common fear, Daisy is terrified of bugs, spiders, flies, any type of insect, she is absolutely petrified of. Now she loves plants, and is well aware of the consequences when you have one, which is a whole hoard of bugs trying to get in. She’s terrified of them and really just thinks they should all be extinct. She does find ladybugs quite adorable though, but she’s still not too keen on letting them come too close to her.

Daisy is guilty of letting her talking get the most of her, if you let her start on a subject she enjoys chatting about, or simply just hates and gets frustrated by it, you’ll never hear the end of it. Quite typically she’ll talk your ear off for hours, and just then realise how long she’s been talking for and then flood you with apologies. Which also might be quite annoying.

Daisy is also pretty open about herself as a person, if you ask, she’ll gladly tell you, and in fact would be quite flattered that you’ve cared to learn anything about her. This may be wear her obliviousness steps in because she’ll never be able to tell if you’re taking advantage of her, or if you’re generally interested in her as a person. But either way she’s just glad that you want to know.

As mentioned before, Audelia is insufferable, she’s close to being intolerable at this point. But her true fascination for poetry is unmatched to her behavior. If you let it slip that you simply just have a liking for poetry, Audelia will be all over you, and that’s a fact. Suddenly she’s a puppy now at your heels, she really could sit and read poetry all day. But she would never want to become a poet, she just loves the idea of it.

Audelia’s love language is simply just insulting you, of course, she does this to anyone, but the insults are more frequent and much crueler than usual. There will probably be a few flicking at the back of your neck as well, it’s quite pathetic and childish really, but Audelia yet continues to do it.

In fact, a quick way to become an alliance of hers is to even just listen to her talk about true crime. She’ll appreciate it so much and will definitely hold a soft spot for you if you listen.

4. Montana is as animal-obsessed as it gets, she doesn’t have any pets, nor has she ever had one during her childhood. But she would fawn over kittens and puppies if she saw even just one picture on Twitter. She doesn’t really want to have any pets at the moment though, maybe towards the future that may change. She’s not exactly responsible enough to look after another living being.

5. Montana actually isn’t a fan of music at all. She just finds it difficult to have it blasting in her ears while she’s trying to do something. She would much prefer to sit in silence, or just even talk to someone while she’s studying or the latter. She does like a few songs however, and might just sit for a few minutes to appreciate the music. But asides from that she is not a fan.

PARKER CHEOLHEE SONG-O’BRIEN is a COMMUNICATIONS & MEDIA STUDIES student obsessed by THE REPRESENTATIONS OF WOMEN & QUEER PEOPLE IN HORROR MEDIA, that aims to GRADUATE EVENTUALLY because they are FINALLY TRYING TO HAVE A MORE NORMAL SCHOOL EXPERIENCE. Spent most of their life jumping around Europe with their family beginning from when they were around twelve. Parker was adopted by their father’s wife and took on the last name Song-O’Brien to replace the last name that was their birth mother’s. Their adopted mother is old money and Parker has no idea what she does but they've never questioned it much (plus they aren’t in line for inheritance, so really, they have no real business with the O’Brien estate other than being a little addendum to the family tree). 

This is their first experience in a more “traditional” school setting (well, as traditional as you can get in this kind of setting!) after they were pulled out of primary school when they were about nine by their birth mother. All their education after that was strictly homeschool and they only started again at twelve which is why they may be a little older than a typical freshmen. The school also happens to be their step-mother’s alma mater which is primarily why they decided to apply/go there.

Was filled to the brim with sports and dance growing up by the encouragement of their family, which was the source of most of their social interaction growing up. Holds black belts in judo and taekwondo, and did ballet religiously up until the age of nineteen. Right now though, they mostly just learn dances in their room from Youtube videos.

Truly cannot explain why they’re so in love with horror media when they’re extremely scared of the dark and supernatural things. The knowledge that what they watch cannot hurt them helps, and they also enjoy picking apart the medium more than anything. But in general, they still sleep with their laptop on next to them as a source of light, must have their stuffed toys with them in bed for comfort, and refuse to go anywhere in the dark without some sort of distraction (like music in their ears).

Julian “Jules” Rigel Underwood is a Drama and Theatre Production student obsessed by Folklore and Urban Legends that aims to Become a Successful Theatre Director because he is expected to by his widower mother to make a name for himself, as he’s the only child left of an old American dynasty. DORMITORY: MALHOTRA APARTMENT

He used to really like theatre, but being forced to consider it as a future career and focus all of his energy on it burned him out quick and he high key hates it now. He’d much rather be a writer, basing on the folklore and urban     legends he loves so much.

His father died when he was very young and he’s an only child, so his     entire childhood he really only had his mother, who is overbearing and     places impossible expectations on him which left them with a very tense relationship by the time he left for school.

Julian can play the piano and cello as both were pushed on him when he was very young. He likes them but doesn’t talk about it anymore because as he got older his mother shifted her focus for him away from that and he feels like he’s not allowed to like his instruments.

He’s trans and pan. Nothing particularly special about that, just a fact.

He’s fascinated with folklore and urban legends because of a bigfoot sighting in his hometown when he was younger. He didn’t see anything himself, but it got him interested in the way ideas like that spread, with just people telling each other things, leading to them being changed and exaggerated over time in years of playing telephone. And the details that stay the same are just as fascinating. He doesn’t believe in stuff like that, but he loves to learn about it, and he really wants to write about it.

Related: his own house was supposedly haunted back in New York. The kids he went to school with used to whisper about it when they thought he wasn’t listening. His (paternal) grandfather was murdered in the house and he supposedly haunted the large home. He found it interesting, and so likewise is curious about supposed hauntings and what leads people to thinking they see ghosts. Though… some sleepless nights in high school while he was trying to keep a perfect GPA in honor classes he… thought might have heard or saw something. Probably just being sleep deprived though. He doesn’t believe in ghosts.

He wants to know more about the supposed supernatural things on and around campus, just, for curiosities sake. It’s… not… distracting from his goal  or classes or anything. No, not at all. (Yes it absolutely would     distract him)

He very occasionally wears glasses. He has a prescription, but usually wears contacts.

He has a car on campus; his mother made sure of that.

Lucienne’s grandfather is Elliott Hughes, a world-renowned journalist who’s been published in news publications all over the world and recipient of the Pulitzer Prize for Investigative Reporting. He started his career as a scholarship student at Universitá di Lugano and, to this day, regularly declares his gratitude. Needless to say, Lucienne didn’t have to think too hard about where she would attend university.

Her mother was only 23 when Lucienne was born, didn’t know who the father was and felt desperately overwhelmed, so she spent most of her childhood with her grandparents. Due to her grandfather’s work, the family moved around a lot, so parts of her childhood took place in Switzerland, France, the United States and Brazil.

Lucienne’s family is comfortable, but not nearly as wealthy as some of her fellow students. You’d think she was as poor as a church mouse with the way she treats anyone who makes full use of their wealth and privilege. (Well, anyone who does so in her eyes, at least.)

Her moral compass was heavily influenced by her grandfather, who is extremely set in his values and ideals. Lucienne isn’t very different, willing to fight to death to defend her ideals. (Theoretically, at least. Not like she had to do that before.)

She has trouble making friends. Even if she had enough free time to socialize in addition to her classes and her work in the university newspaper, her tendency to proclaim her opinions on everything to anyone who’ll listen can get quite annoying.

• Brandon detests his father because he sees all of his own flaws reflected in the older man (rampant materialism, a surface level charm and a short fuse) but he's afraid that he'll never be as successful as him ,his father founded a chain of jewellery stores despite having plenty of inherited wealth to live off of,. He also has an estranged relationship with his mother due to her detached nature but they have a more amicable relationship than he has with his father. 

• He has a collection of cars (both classic and modern sports cars) back home that he adores. He's fascinated by the history behind the different models and how their engines work. He would have preferred to study engineering but his parents wanted him to attend Università di Lugano because they're alums. 

• SMOKING MENTION TW His second biggest obsession behind cars is fitness. He loves the physical challenge, the rewarding feeling of working out and the opportunity to have a regimented routine. The one contradiction to his fitness obsessed image is his smoking habit. He started smoking at sixteen because he thought it would impress a boy he had a crush on at the time.

• DIVORCE MENTION TW Amari's parents divorced when they were ten and this was the event that made them realise people's words couldn't be taken at face value. For two years they knew that their was a shift in their parents relationship and that they were hiding something but whenever Amari asked about what was going on their parents would lie and claim that everything was fine. 

• As a child Amari was always in the gifted and talented kids programmes. They could pick up new information quickly and was easy to learn. So far they've avoided burning out, mostly through sheer determination and coffee. 

• Watched The Exorcist when they seven and awake much later than they should have been. This sparked a life long love of horror films. They're obsessed with the effects , what fears there tap into and how there make people afraid. Their wardrobe is filled with horror movie t-shirts. 

• Amari has a wide variety of academic interests. They're disappointed they couldn't also study psychology and communications. They're particularly interested in how the internet has shaped the way people find out news. They spend a lot of their time online and editing Wikipedia is one of their hobbies.

Aimée barely remembers her father. All her memories of the man involve him in the hospital, taken over by the disease that eventually took his life. After her fifth birthday, it was just her and her mother against the world. That, too, didn’t last long. In a robbery when wrong, Aimée’s mother died in front of her. After her mother’s tragic death, Aimée was ten when she moved to Stuttgart (Germany) to live with her closest relative: Matthias Goethe was a distant cousin to her father and Aimée barely knew him, only hearing stories about her ‘rich cousin’.

Living with him and his family, Aimée was raised in a huge house, but she was never part of their rich life. From day one, Matthias and Nicole (his wife) made sure to remind Aimée that she didn’t belong there, that they were doing her a favor, giving her a place to sleep and eat but she’d need to pay them back, specially after all the money they’d lent to her mother on those years when it was just the two of them. Like a real life Cinderella, Aimée was less part of the family and more like a maid, always running errands for the Goethes and earning her shelter and meals day by day.

She started officially working when she was fifteen, with a fake id and a smile on her face, ready to start resolving her debt. She started dancing, aiming to grab a scholarship in the future since that was her only chance of actually going to college. From the ballet, she went to figure skating, encouraged by one of the few teachers that knew her everyday struggles in her school.

She learned from a young age that all she wanted, she’d have to earn by her own hands, no matter how much she had to work for that. Aimée is super disciplined, to the point of subduing her own personality to fit her busy schedule. Before graduation, few people knew her for more than ‘the overachiever girl that’s always busy with something else’. Only her closest friends knew the easy smiles when she was dancing without the pressure of practice, the shine in her eyes when she was discussing the existence of aliens and ghosts, the soft screams followed by natural laughs when she got scared with the same horror movies she’d already watched a dozen times. But even those few friends never knew the whole truth about Aimée’s life.

Above all, Aimée is a lonely woman. She’s been alone for so long that she doesn’t even feel lonely anymore. Being by herself is all she ever known, she can’t count on anyone else to help her. The only time she let herself cry for it, for herself, is on her yearly visit to her parents graves, in Paris. She’s not Cinderella waiting for the prince to save her, she’s gonna save herself and make her name great. Greater than the Goethes, greater than everyone that ever doubt her.

EXTRACURRICULAR:  ice skating league, administration interns

HEADCANON: jamie’s an only child of the famous and wealthy english byron featherstonehaugh family. her eccentric but stern father james had always longed for a son. however, due to a lack of choice on his side, he was forced to raise jamie. strictly speaking, he never recovered and forever mourned the loss of a son he never had,  thus jamie grew up with a sense of guilt and a wish to prove herself to her parents, which resulted in psychological torment for the young girl even during her childhood.

HEADCANON: at the tender age of only 4, jamie was enrolled into figure skating classes , remaining under the watchful eye of her mother who had only wanted the best for her daughter. she was forced to attend other classes and practices as well, including fencing, foreign languages, ballet, tennis, volleyball and golfing, but among all those, she excelled the most at ice skating, being almost a natural on the ice. almost, it’s the word that makes her shiver with fear, as no matter how hard she tries, there’s always someone better than her, which naturally, a competitive and fierce, approval-hungry girl like her can’t stand at all.  

HEADCANON: known for her elegance and great arrogance, jamie has however and always been a troublesome child. jamie’s quite a rebel, at times even a tyrant, stopping at nothing to prove her point. she lives with the belief that she’s the best, oozing confidence no matter where she goes. if only they knew how much she dreads the idea of being forgotten; her self-assurance is only a ploy, a magic trick. that however doesn’t stop her from trying to ruin other people, as well as their confidence and lives. if she suffers, then so must others.
