HEY - my name is Kate :) I am a student at USD and am an Art Ed. Major... (minor to be determined). I was born in Arizona, and have lived in South Dakota for a majority of my life. Butttt more importantly I am a coffee ADDICT!!! At the beginning of the school year i took advantage of our Ubrew and feel in love. Instantly i found myself trying different combinations, brands, and even bought a french press for in my room :) Aside from my obsession with coffee, i have an intense love for art, specifically painting. I have been painting independently for the past 3 years, and with my college for 1 year. Outside of art and coffee, i love watching movies and hanging out with friends!

Is it necessarily a bad thing if you don't want to be yourself one day? I mean i would never want to be a different person, but if you could would you want to have a different name, and if you had a different name would that change the type of person you are?
Well today i was holly because, my life is super hectic right now, there are so many great opportunities happening and there are also deadlines i need to make for school, applications, and budgeting. I feel like this semester will bring a different part of me out, and i hope for the better. I want to be everything that i wasn't first semester without leaving behind my school ideals or friends. ugghh.
Thankfully a zebra hotchocolate can make everything better and as much as i love coffee, chocolate, and caffeine. I need to back off at least two of these, so i'm trying to make a slow conversion to tea. we'll see how this goes. brevebloggerout

After a very uplifting post this morning, everything went down a very steep and painful hill... aka. everything that could have gone wrong in my life practically did. After miss placing my phone 3 days ago, it finally hit me today that i would need to buy a new phone.
First of all the word "BUY" should not exist unless i am buying plane tickets to visit friends, family, or my boyfriend. I do not need any un-nessesary costs or problems happening in my life. ANDDDD speaking of plane tickets that what i have been saving up for lately... a romantic get away to surprise my boyfriend on valentines day weekend... well nope that's not gonna happen anymore. All my cute plans have been destroyed :(
But getting back to the fact that i have been FLIPPING OUT about the fact that my phone has been M.I.A for the past 3 days. Now i don't have an addiction to my phone, but it my life when it comes to school. It's my alarm clock, my notepad, my planner, my calculator, my social media, my e-mail, my dictionary, my snap chat... annddddd MY PHONE! I literally tore my room apart looking for it and in the process found many other things that have gone missing over the past month or so. I traveled near and far for my phone. I went to the front desk and back, i even hiked to 4th floor bede on my quest. After nearly giving up and facing the fact that i would never see my phone again and i would have to spend money on a new one... (NOTE: i have lost my phone 2 in two years basically).
Because of this my heart desired happiness and I immediately thought of a little coffee pick me up. Walking though the almost 0 degree wether to our Ubrew, i ordered a girls best friend at 8 o'clock... HOT CHOCOLATE!!! buttt with half as much chocolate cause sometimes our brew over does it. Sipping on my hot drink walking away from the Ubrew i thought Why not... Ask the desk about the phone. To my RELIEF my phone had found a decent person to pick it up and return it to a desk!!!!! Stress is now off my shoulders and i can return home knowing it's one less thing that went wrong.
Moral to this story, don't stress because USUALLY everything will find it's way back to you!

My current obsession and consistent order at the Ubrew has been Chai... anything :) Today it happens to be a Soy Chai Latte' which if you need to hot drink and live in South Dakota it's perfect to warm up before heading out into the frigidly cold winter winds. BUTTT more importantly the reason for my Chiatasm is that when i ordered my coffee and took that first sip, i realized how much a miss my spiced chai from the coffee cup in Brandon SD. Now that was a Chiatasm... and a good one at that! I hope that anyone who reads this has the opportunity to have a chia anything with that reaction because IT'S TOTALLY WORTH IT!!!
In other news though my school schedule and body are slowly syncing together, and i feel a very nice occurrence is about to happen. I'm thinking about making a pledge that this semester that I say "hi" or introduce myself to at least one new person every day... i mean this campus isn't the hugest one ever so why not get to know as many people as i can :) Anyway.....

An interesting article about the importance and relevance of coffee in the bible. Not the most religious person ever, but to me it was still a good read :) brevebloggerout

Today has been interesting when it comes to my coffee choices because well... i had none *shocking*. As I walked into the MUC today our Ubrew it was closed and my dreams were crushed. Craving a salted carmel latte'... Speaking of salted carmel, ANYTHING salted carmel is an insta-favorite!!! Its the perfect combination of sweet and salty! But it's date night with my boyfriend so i'm keeping this a short one. brevebloggerout

Starting off the day right - Foggy London. This is the perfect way to start your day, steamed milk and two packets of Earl Grey. YUMMMMMMY.
**even better with soy instead of milk, it gives it that bit of sweetness without overpowering making it disgustingly sugary**
