“The biblical term for integrity is “faithfulness.” And faithfulness is one of the key attributes of God. As you open the pages of the Old Testament, you’re introduced to the faithful God almost immediately. One day Moses came to God and asked for His name. And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM” (Ex. 3:14). That seems like a strange way to respond to Moses’ question, but what God was saying was this: “I am the God who has no past and no future. I am the God of the eternal present. I am the faithful God, and what I say is true.” In the mind and heart of God, the promise and fulfillment are viewed in the same tense. God does not look to be faithful in the future. God is always faithful because God lives in the eternal now.” #Jesus #Faith #Christ https://www.instagram.com/p/CRnqYuzFAKS/?utm_medium=tumblr

“One example is a famous quote by Jim Elliot, one of the five missionaries who died at the hands of the Aucas of Ecuador in the 1950s: “He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot “lose.” That’s a truth I don’t want to forget. I want to meditate on it and let it soak into my mind and become a part of me. As I live in a materialistic society and watch all the advertisements that tell me I’m missing something, that I don’t look right, that I’d be happy if only I had this car or that mouthwash, I need a constant mental reminder that I’m living for eternal values. Great thoughts like that of Jim Elliot serve as that reminder. He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose. —JIM ELLIOT” #jesus #God #Faith https://www.instagram.com/p/CRdGE-ulZM5/?utm_medium=tumblr

Empires have risen, flourished, and passed away into the region of silence and oblivion. Monuments have been erected to commemorate human genius, greatness, and philanthropy—and these monuments have crumbled into the dust; but the act of this woman still lives, and shall live for ever. The hand of the Master has erected a monument to her, which shall never, no never, perish. May we have grace to imitate her.” That Is what bible scholar “Arno C. Gaebelein said about the following passage: “Meanwhile, Jesus was in Bethany at the home of Simon, a man who had previously had leprosy. While he was eating, a woman came in with a beautiful alabaster jar of expensive perfume made from essence of nard. She broke open the jar and poured the perfume over his head. Some of those at the table were indignant. “Why waste such expensive perfume?” they asked. “It could have been sold for a year’s wages and the money given to the poor!” So they scolded her harshly. But Jesus replied, “Leave her alone. Why criticize her for doing such a good thing to me? You will always have the poor among you, and you can help them whenever you want to. But you will not always have me. She has done what she could and has anointed my body for burial ahead of time. I tell you the truth, wherever the Good News is preached throughout the world, this woman’s deed will be remembered and discussed.”” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭14:3-9‬ ‭ #Jesus #Faith https://www.instagram.com/p/CRTsYJLFmQk/?utm_medium=tumblr

“When you don’t know what to pray, the Holy Spirit does so for you, according to God’s will. He intercedes for you in full agreement with the very purposes for which the Lord created you. According to Isaiah 11:2, He is the Spirit of the Lord, which means that everything He does will be consistent with God’s plans and character. He is the Spirit of wisdom—He helps you to live out what is right in the Father’s sight and conforms you to the image of Christ. He is the Spirit of understanding—He gives you supernatural discernment into your circumstances. He is the Spirit of counsel—He advises you, showing you what to do in every situation and bringing to remembrance everything Christ taught you (John 14:26). He is the Spirit of strength—which means He enables, empowers, and equips you to do God’s will. He is the Spirit of knowledge—He provides the inventiveness and resourcefulness for the tasks He directs you to accomplish. And He is the Spirit of the fear of the Lord—He teaches you how to honor, respect, and obey the Father. So when you’re praying, be confident that you have exactly what you need to interact with God—the Holy Spirit, who communicates to you and for you.” #Jesus #jesuschrist #God https://www.instagram.com/p/CRNQPBfl3pj/?utm_medium=tumblr

“Today, do not be afraid. The circumstances before you may seem confusing at best, painful and destructive at worst. But understand that you have absolutely everything you need to walk in God’s plan for your life—the Holy Spirit who lives and works within you and His Word to direct you. The Lord is constantly prompting you to remain in the center of His will and is faithful to adjust your path when you begin to drift—even when you don’t realize it. Likewise, He protects you in supernatural ways as you walk in His plan, so that everything works together for your good and His glory. Therefore, you do not have to grieve or struggle to know God’s will, you do not have to manipulate your circumstances to make His plan happen, and you don’t have to fear when something goes wrong. Rather, employ your energy in exhibiting faith and walking step-by-step with Him, being confident that He is actively working in the unseen on your behalf (Isaiah 64:4). Because you can be certain that when your heart is inclined toward Him, He uses all the resources at His disposal to accomplish what concerns you (Psalm 57:2).” #Jesus #dailydevotional #jesuschrist https://www.instagram.com/p/CRI70cuFwvf/?utm_medium=tumblr

“You know that serving God is not about effort but about allowing Him to shine through you. But how does that happen? The key is in your attachment to God. This is why Jesus talks about your relationship with Him in terms of a vine and branch. The health and productivity of the branch is completely dependent on its attachment to the vine. In the same way, the more you seek to know God and to rely on Him, the more He reveals Himself to you. The more He discloses Himself to you, the more you reflect Him to others. You don’t have to work it up or strive to perform good works on God’s behalf. Instead, you trust the Lord to bring to you the people He wants you to minister to and to pour His power and wisdom through you into their lives. The firmer you’re attached to Jesus, the more His life can flow through you. So get into His presence, connect yourself to Him, and seek to know and love Him more. Before you know it, His power will flow through you supernaturally—just as He always meant it to.” #Jesus #jesuschrist https://www.instagram.com/p/CRG04EvF2Sy/?utm_medium=tumblr

“The greatest sin in the world, Nouwen says, is the sin of unbelief. It’s the backdrop behind all the other sins we commit. And the unbelief we cling to most stubbornly is our refusal to accept that God loves us unconditionally.” #Jesus #Faith #goldwords https://www.instagram.com/p/CQ-9xyPl4hH/?utm_medium=tumblr
