That avpd when you feel incredibly guilty telling your friends that you’re socially overwhelmed and just really need to isolate yourself for a while.

One more week till my SSDI hearing! I'm actually choosing to be a little bit excited about it because it means HOPEFULLY the whole thing will be over and there will be one less thing to stress about. The stress has been making me sick and I've been sleeping a lot because of that.

Dude in the waiting room showed up an HOUR early to his appointment and his wife is mad because they won't see him NOW. He's like "well they're helping other people right now" and she's like "can't they get you in, how are veterans treated this way?"
Ma'am. He was an HOUR early and his appointment time hasn't even come up yet.

There's 2 types of people who "might" need a disability aid in the future: the kind who understands the gravity of the situation and advocates for current users of the aid to have access and respect and does everything they can to learn about what it means to need that aid, and the second kind who uses the possibility of needing something to speak like an authority on the subject.
The second kind can get fucked.

Yes, your opinion WILL be worth more when you actually HAVE the problem being discussed. Good God. Unless you're supporting the people who actually have the need for that support, your opinion is worth exactly as much as the next clown who doesn't need it. Because you don't need it right now, same as them.
As a seriously disabled person who is seriously disabled RIGHT NOW, I hate hate hate it when people think their opinions are worth more because they MIGHT, some day in the long future, need the same supports. Your nebulous "in the future" bullshit is my every day reality.

now that I’ve been back a while I’m getting the age old “is this okay to reblog” questions on my posts, and I would like to say what I have always said which is that 1. Yes. 2. You should never
Ever
post a single thing on this site that would make you uncomfortable or cause trouble for you if someone shared it elsewhere. Yes, even if you disable reblogs on the post.
It’s not nice, but you have absolutely zero expectation of privacy or containment regarding anything you post to any social media. Even if it’s social media that only your friends can view. It’s still up and out there.
If it would be upsetting or dangerous or just plain awkward for something you post here to show up elsewhere—I cannot stress this enough—Do Not Post It.

Tags say "Vinegar milf. Sorry Briar to make you read that on your own post lmao"
No worries! I sent one of my other friends a photo of a really big vinegar mother with the phrase "mommy" the other day.
(The mommy in question)

Wire mother... cloth mother... what about vinegar mother? She's soft, she's smooth and translucent, and she provides food AND companionship.

So do people realize that we aren't building new train tracks when we expand the amteak network, I have multiple times seen people say that we shouldn't expand the network because it would destroy protected lands, which would be a fair criticism but Amtrak doesn't build new tracks, we use existing tracks. We are not destroying protected lands, we are using land that has already been clear for a century
