Main Character Syndrome

Partially-Medically recognized disorder

Main character syndrome is when a person believes and acts like they are playing the lead role in a fictional version of their life. People with it see everything that happens in the world around them through the lens of how it affects them. There are no clearly defined criteria to determine if someone has it. Generally, someone may be described as having main character syndrome if they show some of the following signs:

attention-seeking or dramatic behaviors, like being loud in public

overdramatizing life events, either to come out looking like a hero or a victim

inflated sense of self, or feeling like you’re better than other people

lack of empathy for others’ struggles

viewing everything that happens around you through the lens of how it affects you and your life

high level of outward confidence, which may or may not hide underlying insecurities

centering yourself in every situation or conversation

romanticizing experiences or relationships

acting in ways that aren’t authentic to your true self

dissociation from your true values or needs

Symptoms include;

"Corruption" growing on ones physical body, it typically does not hurt but may feel weird. This "Corruption" may look similar to Skulk

In later stages of CteD, one may start forgetting things or losing their memory.

Immortality, although still being able to 'experience death', after each experience with death one may experience a new stage of CteD

Change in appearance (not including the growing of "Corruption") such as change in eye color, hair color, skin color, etc.

Skulkection Disorder (SkeD) is a xenomalady (?) characterized by the spreading of Skulk on one's body.

Symptoms include;

Skulk growing on ones physical body, the Skulk may itch, hurt, feel tight, etc.

In later stages of SkeD, one may start gaining "memories" of things that did not actually happen

Immortality, although still being able to 'experience death', after each experience with death one may experience a new stage of SkeD

Growing horns or growing body parts that resemble a Warden

Based on the Skulk from TRSMP and from Minecraft however they don't have to be related if you don't want it to be
