Why did we all stop writing letters?

No I don't want you to text me "I'm sorry. pls call back" when we fight.

I want a letter that smells of fresh ink and adoration.

I'll read it by my candlelight as my grumpiness melts off and I'll supress little giggles while reading your declarations of love.

Part 2

• The Rebellious Dark Academic

Paperbacks? Nah, this academic prefers to get pirated copies of their school books because after all education should be free. Challenges the system, reads romantic poetry, updated with the news, joins the marches and confuses the professors with their questions. Arrives early to their favourite class, skips the others, has a debate with a random stranger, fiercely protective of their friends, black nailpolish, classical music playlist interspersed with punk rock songs. Black blazers, late nights, brown boots, tired eyes, going to bed after sunrise and dreaming about the revolution.

• The Vanilla Dark Academic

Loves softness and scented candles, carefully turns the pages of their hardcover books, presses flowers between their pages, brown warm sweaters (oversized to make sweater paws). Wears golden jewellery and pendants, messy bun, silent observer, wonderful listener with strong opinions. Fan of Mozart, loves playing piano or listening to it. Loves kissing their lovers in the rain, fluently quotes verses from poetry, writes long letters and secretly has a crush on the rebellious dark academic.
