Excellent graphics with info that the mainstream press aren't sharing because they're rather scare the shit outta people.

That last slide is extremely telling, no?
In short, share this around. Then ya'll can calm the fuck down, head to the Winchester, have a pint and wait for this to all blow over.

ALSO: does this mean that Jakoby is now part of the Fogteeth clan specifically, or is he just welcomed into orc society as a whole? What are the politics behind blooding exactly?
Imagine blooding is clan-specific, and now Jakoby’s a Fogteeth that can’t really be a Fogteeth because he’s a cop- so while he is blooded, he’s isolated from his clan, which is better than being unblooded, but still not great. He’s blooded into a clan he can’t belong to. That’s a stigma all on its own, not to mention how long Jakoby spent unblooded, and his unblooded lineage . . .
Maybe Jakoby finds out being blooded isn’t all what it’s cracked up to be.
“Think you’re a big dog now that you’re blooded, huh?”
“Yeah, pretty big.”

Aesthetic, yeah. Practical? No
I’m still hung up on that death pit in the orc church. Just . . . that’s a lot of effort. I mean, saves ammo? Maybe. But keeping all those candles lit? Going down there to light the candles, with all the bodies? Nah.

Are Brights Really “Rare”?
How do they even know that Brights are rare among orcs and humans? The only way to find out is to touch a magic wand, and those are just about impossible to come across. Maybe there are lots of orcs who are Brights but have never touched a wand and thus will never know. Rather, what’s actually rare is 1) being within arm’s reach of a wand and 2) choosing to touch it with your bare hand.

I found him!

I found the orc that shot Ward! This is from his Instagram, go give him some love. He played 2-3 different orcs. And he shot Jakoby’s partner.

Orc Culture Headcanon
Religion
-Small shrines in homes. They can be from antlers on a wall with photographs to a large table with cloths, antlers, candles, pictures and trinkets.
-Shrines are used to memorialize lost loved ones, pay tribute to their gods and Jirak
-For centuries orcs would put the tusk or the favorite jewelry of a deceased family member on the shrine. Most people use photographs now.
-During the Feast of Jirak offerings are placed on the shrine- the most common offerings are food, or plants/flowers/herbs
-Most of the time offerings are small hand made items: a ribbon tied around a written request/prayer, a drawing, wreaths, woven things.
-Orcs will place offerings anytime there is an important life event- a child being born, someone is sick, a big test, job interview, etc.

Hi David! Ah! I have returned with my complete lack of language skills to explain my characters name to see if it makes more sense... I basically lifted the Russian work for " warrior / berserker / soldier" from a google search (hangs head in shame). If you could let me know the equivalent Bodzvokan word then I'll change it so that's his name. He is called by his 'street name' throughout the piece, but the presentation of the 'real' name in Bodzvokan has real meaning to the characters in it.
You bet! The usual word is zorguz, an old compound meaning “bloodtooth”. That conveys the best sense for someone who’s a warrior/brawler—one who goes all out. It looks like this in the Vukht:
Thanks for the ask!

Orc Culture Headcanon

Appearance and Physicality
-Average height for a male is 6’5”. Average for a female is 6’
-Men and women are broad shouldered, even though their legs are strong, not usually agile.
-Not runners. Usually famous for football, baseball, swimming, rowing, and rock climbing.
-As much as Orcs are beaten down, they are always proud to be Orcs. If they assimilate styles that seem to outsiders as ‘un-orcish’ it is not to blend in. They just like it.
-Example: The 50’s beehive & 70’s Afro saw many orc females wearing wigs in these styles.
-Scalp tattoos/branding have gone in and out of style for both men and women. There are some cultural reasons for them, recently they are done as a trend or for personal style.
-Tusk adornments are another cultural thing. Not often seen in the US or UK, they have gone in and out of style in Africa, India and the Middle East for centuries.
