Someone on X said that Jimin is in his 'BTS debut era' and Armys are the new Ex0-ls in the kpop fandom.

And they are right.

There's no way armys are trying to act like there's nothing wrong with this. Like I know they're tired of the endless buying. They have to buy 9 versions of the title track and 11 versions of the album... Isn't that crazy?

I am getting a kick out of this though because jk looks like a fraud and like I said before, they're obviously aware that he's doing way below their expectations.

it’s honestly so incredibly impressive how much more influence PJMs have these days. i’m sure that has its negative aspects but in terms of voting and streaming, it’s such a massive improvement. there was so much stagnancy before FACE but if there is one good thing that has come out of the discourse and the mess, it’s that jimin’s solo fanbase has become more united.

i hope jimin won't do a 3d dance challenge with jk. while I know jm is not a saint, i just don't want to hear and watch him dance to that awful song. those lyrics are atrocious. i have no issue if jk and his collaborators want to sing about fucking, orgasm and all that try-hard cool guy things, but i draw the line with songs degrading women and making it seem like we're disposable. misogyny is my everyday battle already and to see someone i used to like (jk) having a song with such a problematic theme is already a disappointment (doesn't matter if the trashy lyrics are not jk's part). jm knows better english now and im sure he knows what those lyrics are all about if he'll look them up. just no. but even if jm does dance to it, that song is still a downgrade

Y'all are not going to make this the problem of other idols. Takes like these just seem a little... Like we're losing the plot

Let me tell you the hard truth. If the average person irl who isnt in the same spaces as we are on social media listens to 3d they will not be able to tell you what we find so offensive about it (this can even be said for a lot of things that has caused major discourse on the internet) The average person who listens to it would not even think as far as you expect them to. Outside social media people have listened to worse and will continue to.

And honestly I doubt jimin would listen to it and go "wow, this song is rife with misogyny... I'm not dancing to it", so you better get ready to feel disappointed in him if he does join the challenge.

i was looking at jimin streams and i think that's very impressive how like crazy has most of its streams from us and how that's around 17% of lc daily streams. seven for example even thought number of its us streams is higher has only close to 9% of daily streams from there because most of jk streams come from thailand. its very typical for kpop artists to have majority of their streams come from South East Asia countries so i think its nice to see that even though like crazy isn't english song it still managed to break some of those kpop barriers

I also don't get armys obsession with skin showing. I get the hype when it was first time but I don't get screaming over same thing again and again. In jks case I think it's getting repetitive. For the Calvin, then in MVs or performances and I'm over it now. army's scream over and praise everything BTS do. Sometimes I don't even feel it's genuine feeling. They just do for sake of it.

You're right about that. Like even with Jimin, it took a lot to make me keyboard smash on Twitter, because I feel like I've stanned him for way too long. So I don't really react much unless it's related to official song release... other than that, it has to be something phenomenal like when his photobook dropped.

So I've never understood how armys who have stanned for years still go crazy over stuff like that, most of them definitely say all that because they think they have to.

TAE'S SONG REVIEW

Honestly... I don't have a big review or anything. I'm just gonna share my opinion you are free to share yours if you want.

I would just like to say that the song is not my cup of tea honestly.

The song is not bad, but it doesn't sound catchy to me. It kinda sounds boring. But not really. Like there are few parts that I liked but the rest of it is meh.

Like I don't think I'll listen to it again.

The song is not bad, so maybe it's just about preferences, maybe some people will like it, maybe some will find it boring, I'm leaning more towards the latter.

FOR THE MV

Well mv is low budget.... Nothing is going on there. It just looks more like a live performance video. So yeah not really my fav. I actually don't see the point of making an mv if you're not gonna do anything in it. What's the point of making an mv when you're just gonna dress up and stand in front of a mic which basically looks like every other performance of yours?

Idk I just didn't get the point. Like if you're making an mv out of a song atleast do something in it. Right?

Anyways.... So the song is 4/10 for me. Mv is really just 1/10 lol.

Can you imagine a korean song with absolute 0 TTH playlist, has been charting on top 50 for 4 months now, becoming the longest charting song by a kpop soloist beating all heavy payolaed song?? Oohh Jimin's impact is LIKE CRAZY! Even BTS's longest charting songs were in english, jungkooks songs were all in english, other members songs didn't chart at all. Like how insane Like Crazy is doing? I said to myself a while back that if we survived July without falling LC off top 50, maintain its streams for that month Jimin's stans will be unstoppable. And wow it's the 2nd week of August we're still strong af. Once that PJM2 released we're all so ready for everything.

Of all the other songs it was being compared to and up against at the time of it's release, despite everything that happened, it's still standing

SMFpt2 was such an insane way to start out your solo career. I seriously love Jimin so much. It was everything I wanted and more. Everyone was talking about it, antis couldn’t shut up about it. Remember how many reactors did videos for it on YouTube? The harassment was overwhelming and vile, but damn Jimin seriously made noise and a statement with that release. And it turned into one of my favorite performances of all time too. I really just can’t wait for PJM2. I hope Jimin never wavers in his creative vision because I’m always so excited by what he does. (And I think Taehyung’s MV suits him incredibly well even if it’s not my thing. It’s cool how much their solo releases reflect their individuality, but it really reaffirms how much I prefer Jimin)

I'm not going to dwell too much on this because the last thing I want is to feed into the anger, but what the actual fuck?

Why was it unreasonable months ago for an artist to have a visual album and now 5 music videos for all songs it's fine? Does such a huge company all of a sudden has more money? Are we all idiots?

This is making me question my logic. I've been actively trying to not fall into solo discourse because it is heavily tainted by a really biased lens, but in this particular case, I can't find an excuse anymore. This is based on the artist's own words, one who apologized for asking too much. That is a fact, not something made up or interpreted by fans.

Yes, there is blatant favoritism, but what I fundamentally can't understand is why BH didn't think Jimin could actually be successful? He wasn't a weak member of the group, his value and contribution is obvious for everyone to see. So what is it then?

I don't want to turn this up into a debate because I don't have the mental capacity at the moment to focus on this horrible mess, but I had to say something. Why am I still surprised? I feel like this entire situation is a mockery and there's no attempt to even pretend that there's no preferential treatment.

It most definitely will be broken, unless the world suddenly comes to an end or billboard charts are discontinued.

But then, I don't really care.. Taylor held the record for 3 years before Jimin and she was thriving. Also her next album after that had one of the biggest songs of 2022, which stayed at number 1 for multiple weeks.

He DOES look different but in a good way. I think it’s the high on top hair with the length. It makes his face look even smaller, I’m absolutely obsessed with this hairstyle. I can’t for the life of me remember where but he looks familiar, maybe it was PTD Seoul? Super grainy but he looks like a Ken doll 🥺😞
